Ah right l see a lot different to normal temperatures for you .
Same for us here but tbh l am glad to have a few sunny days because it seems to have rained here since time immemorial 🤣

But that's why it's so green where you are! All the rain!
It was 28 yesterday but it will be cooler today I think.

Frugal25 · 20/06/2026 07:29

@RumBananaSundaethat wasn't very nice of your boss and hardly professional. Ignore, wave, smile, move on. I have started wishing people that get on my nerves runny poo on Christmas day in their white outfits. So I wish this for your boss as well as the pillow and cover from @DeepFriedCreamEgg that I loved.
Keep going with the job. It's a hard market at the mo but you will get there Hun, you're amazing and hardworking. You will be an asset and someone will see this. Xx
@drspouseoh no your poor DS. Is he ok now? I second that Pilates and therapy is money well spent as is takeaway esp on a Friday. Love that everyone was accommodated.

Thank you for all the lovely messages on car finance. I'm going to take "Hattie" (yes I named my car) to a car wash with the big rotating brush things you drive through. I've never done it so I'm treating myself lol. Love calling it a suddy disco! Adding it up online I think it will be about £30 inside and out.

ALWAYS pineapple on pizza!!

Good morning everyone 😁
I am off for some retail therapy in Bristol because l am taking my Dd2 to the airport she's going to Palma lucky thing 😁.
Love that you've named your car Hattie @Frugal25 🤣 £30 for inside and out cleaning is a good price in John Jones's country 🚗✨. Enjoy the Suddy disco 🤩🪩🕺
Hope everyone has a lovely day 😁

On our way back home , Dds bought shorts, skirts and books . I bought nothing but at least they are happy 😁.
We popped into Home bargains, spent £18 on medicines /cough mixture/ bakery items for Mum and a bit of laundry stuff . Dd2 delivered to the airport all is well with the world 😁
Hope everyone is having a lovely day 😊

@Frugal25 I love a clean car - got mine done last weekend and it's a joy to drive again! Well done on the car finance!

@RumBananaSundae hope your boss overheats. And also hope that call back happens on Monday.

@drspouse oh no hope DS is okay, those late nights in A&E are killers. It sounds like a nice day today.

@DirtyGertiefromno30 and everyone, hope the weather is suiting you wherever you are. I'm in NE and it's early 20s here. I'm staying near the welsh borders next weekend and taking part in the Race for Life with a friends team. We were freaking last night as it's forecast to be low 30s but hopefully that will change.

I've been to my gym class, tip run, charity shop drop off, took a top to be altered. Looked nice on the hanger but I feel like a decrepit sugar plum fairy with the puffy sleeves. I've asked him to cap the sleeves as it's from Primark and I lost the receipt! Will see...
I am trying to chill out as I think I've been operating at 100 mph in June. Some things can wait! On that note I am going to get off my phone and try for a nap...

DirtyGertiefromno30 · 20/06/2026 16:26

Aww, good luck with the Race for Life next weekend @Lockin26🍀🤞 .What a lovely thing to do with your friend. Fingers crossed the forecast changes a bit, low 30s is not ideal for running around in! Plenty of water, hats and shade stops if it stays that hot. ☀️🥵
Sounds like you've been so busy too . Your description of the top made me lol a decrepit sugar plum fairy 🤣🤣 .
I don't blame you having a nap. l think l will join you 🤣💤😴🛏️🥱.

£30 on a Chinese takeaway for tonight 😊
Could not be bothered with getting an Indian , DH looked at the hygiene ratings and they fell short of his expectations 🤣. So the Chinese takeaway with hygiene ratings of 5 it is then 🤣. Hope everyone has a lovely evening ☺️

Spent £5.29 of my £10 on a melon, grapes and khobez.

Thank you @DeepFriedCreamEgg. I hope than happens too.

Hope your son is OK @drspouse and that you managed to find some quiet today.

Thank you @Frugal25. I have another application to do this week. Did Hattie (and you) enjoy the suddy disco?

Good luck for the race for life @Lockin26. I’m picturing you frolicking round a garden with a butterfly net in puffy sleeves Edwardian lady style.

I’m also thinking lucky thing with your daughter going to Palma @DirtyGertiefromno30. I didn’t realise they have a UNESCO World Heritage mountain. I do love a mountain. I hope she has a fab time. What Chinese did you order?

Got admin bits done today so can cross that off. Tried the buffalo feta. It was richer than I was expecting. It was nice and will finish it with flatbreads for a few days.

Frugal25 · 20/06/2026 19:41

Evening all,
£18 for the car wash as OH got all confused over the queue which made me confused so just got the outside done. I did inside at home. Was so much fun though! Lots of giggles and screams of delight. And I saved a few ££.

Oohhh Palma! Hope DD has a great time @DirtyGertiefromno30 enjoy the takeaway. Making me hungry.
I love a mountain too @RumBananaSundae, I hiked up the Carpathian mountains a few years back for wspa. And have the most beautiful photo of the mountains in Geneva with the sunset hitting them. You got me sold on the buffalo feta. Def getting some now?
Well done on your busy day @Lockin26and I hope the top can be altered although I bet you were a cute sugar plum fairy. Def chill out. It's Saturday night. Everything can wait.

DirtyGertiefromno30 · 20/06/2026 19:56

I didn't know about the UNESCO mountain @RumBananaSundae until you mentioned it now! Sounds right up her street though. I'm sure she'll have a lovely time , she's gone with her boyfriend so l am not worried about her he's 6ft 2 and very fit 😁 . Well done getting your admin bits sorted, it's always satisfying crossing those jobs off the list. The buffalo feta sounds delicious! I can imagine it being richer than normal feta 😋. We ordered from the Chinese tonight as a treat for Fathers day for DH . He had beef curry, a pancake roll and shared my chips . l had chicken chow mein and chips and Dd1 had spare ribs , chips and egg fried rice 😋😁. It was gorgeous ,apparently it was nigh on £40 because Dd1 wanted spare ribs 🤣. I have never heard of those flat breads before but they sound delicious 😋

£18 well spent @Frugal25, especially with all the fun and a few quid saved! 😂 Palma sounds lovely, I'm sure she'll have a brilliant time. The takeaway was delicious too 😋.
The Carpathian Mountains must have been amazing. And that photo from Geneva sounds stunning. There's something magical about mountains at sunset. Those views stay with you forever 😊.

Imo Palma de Mallorca is a simply underrated city it's absolutely stunning. I hope she has a wonderful time.

Lockin26 · 20/06/2026 21:20

I missed the bit about DD and Palma @DirtyGertiefromno30 hope they have a wonderful break ☀️

Had a 1.5 hour nap. Made some tasty tea of chicken, leeks with maple and mustard sauce plus fruit crumble for DH for Father's Day. I'm trying not to eat anything else now as I'm full!

£16.89 Lidl..was pleasantly surprised as that will top us up until Wednesday with the exception of yoghurts and sweet treats for the DC (they always go first!)

DirtyGertiefromno30 · 21/06/2026 09:41

Good morning everyone ☀️
Beautiful here hope it's lovely for you all too ❤️.
Aw thank you re my Dd2 holiday @Lockin26 , she is loving it so far 😁.
Your tea sounded delicious 😋
Your DH is very lucky to have that crumble l bet it's gorgeous 😍
Happy Father's day to our Dad's and our DC's Daddies and not forgetting those lovely men who are not blood relations but stand in line for our children and us.
Ah thank you @DeepFriedCreamEgg she is loving it there ,so far so good 😁

Hi all. I have gone overdrawn this month by a couple hundred pounds. I transfered some out of savings to avoid interest. But, looked back to see where I overspent this week. My DH does the normal weekly grocery shopping so I haven't factored that in... but maybe it was less.

£58 in Sainsbury's. I bought some Egyptian silk bedding as well as groceries.
£10 in the farm park on drinks and ds chose DD a birthday present from the shop which was a big hit.
£15 on 2 different school fundraising things.
£35 on a baby monitor
£17 in Lidl
£47.68 in Morrisons on pizzas for DDS birthday and other groceries.
£7 on 2 lunches

Wins
Used a £20 voucher in Asda, cashback from the credit card so only spent 20p
Used a £3 off voucher in tescos that expired today.
Sold w items on vinted and made £7

Had a lovely birthday weekend with DD. Not looking forward to the heat, will be hiding and working on a lsw.

Frugal25 · 21/06/2026 16:33

Afternoon everyone, what a gorgeous day!
£42 on taking OH and DD out for lunch. Two courses, drinks and ice cream for DD so very decent a price. I had budgeted for £50 so pleased with that.
My fridge has broken. And food is going off. Two days after I bought it all. A Currys trip and £200 odd later and the new one arrives on Tuesday. I shall freeze what I can and the rest I'll try and eat up.
OH paid. Although I did have the money and kept saying I would pay. It's a tiny fridge as the kitchen that desperately needs doing only has space for a tiny under counter fridge. But when I have the kitchen done I'll put the new fridge and my old freezer in the garage for overflow/drinks.
Hoping that I can get away with NSD tomorrow and Wednesday and Friday. I do need to get a sympathy card as my friends mum died yesterday. But I may be able to grab this Thursday when I do the shopping and post then... Or would this be deemed rude to be sent that late?

DeepFriedCreamEgg · 21/06/2026 16:37

Today's a day of thoughtful contemplation here. We went and brought cake and had a lovely coffee on the sea front. Husband paid.
Think we might have a Chinese later £16.
@Frugal25 I wouldn't think it rude at all.

Lockin26 · 21/06/2026 16:45

@Frugal25 that's a lovely thought and not rude at all.
@Alwaysgrowing some good frugal wins there. Which CC gives you cashback like that? I have a Halifax card that I pay in full every month but it seems better for fee free transactions abroad that any decent cash back deals. Could always move banks...

Enjoy the Chinese if you get one @DeepFriedCreamEgg

Enjoy the sunny NSD @DirtyGertiefromno30 and everyone else - hope you have good days ☀️

£55 Fathers Day carvery. I'd already put a deposit down and we only got one drink each so not too spendy! Was lovely and brought a good amount of meat back for sandwiches tomorrow 🥪

Frugal25 · 21/06/2026 16:46

@Alwaysgrowingive done this in the past too and always grateful to have the savings to bail myself out with.
@DeepFriedCreamEggthank you Hun. Enjoy the takeaway:)
