Poor Jericho, hope he is ok soon. Is he a dog or a cat? Either way he has a great name, what was the inspiration for that?

Frugal25 · 02/07/2026 11:28

Jericho and Dutch (brothers) are 4 month old kittens. We got them from a local rescue centre and they are just gorgeous (when they aren't eating my houseplants). OH chose the names, apparently Dutch is an arnie film predator and Jericho another Arnie film end of days or something like that. It was either that or Sam and dean from supernatural!!
He seems much better today, the cwtch from auntie Gertie worked!!
He was drugged up something rotten last night, it was hilarious 😂

I have found the veg pie. Think it was more or a tart but it's very nice. Shall post the photo in a sec.

£104 in lidl. That's with grabbing yellow stickers, buying even cheaper than normal and using my £5 voucher off. Oh dear.
Meant to go swimming but have decided on a garden day.
Got fringe trimmed but that's free although I got her a bunch of sunflowers as I hate not giving anything.
Do need petrol as my car has eaten what I put in 2 weeks ago.

Forgot to say yes to the low spend July!!! I'm in. I'll start from today as yesterday I failed what with vets

Frugal25 · 02/07/2026 11:29

Veg tart recipe. From my fave (and well used) book the veggie student cookbook

Oh yay, thanks for the recipe! Looks delicious.

88 quid today on weekly shop, plus 2.50 on a card for a friend who has lost a relative so that spend was basically necessary!

DirtyGertiefromno30 · 02/07/2026 18:26

I try to get my cards in advance from Home Bargains @Statsinyoureyes, they do a nice range called 1975 and are lovely . Sorry for your friends loss bless her 💐

Spendy day today as paid a legal bill. Yesterday was about £40 in the pub.

Oh @Frugal25 don’t be sad. Maybe pop a tiara on? Uhoh for poor Jericho. Glad he’s on the mend. Sorry things have been pants.

Welcome @Statsinyoureyes.

Glad your mum is ok @DirtyGertiefromno30.

Had a lovely evening with my friend yesterday but it was a bit sad as we’re work friends. Went to the Waldmüller exhibition too. Today did a few legal bits and as soon as I’d finished another thing landed in my inbox. Will have to look at it later. One of the fruit and vegetable stalls from the market is now on TGTG but there are three of them so I will have to work out which one it is.

DirtyGertiefromno30 · 02/07/2026 22:12

Aww, glad you had a lovely evening with your friend, even if it is bittersweet @RumBananaSundae ❤️ .The exhibition sounds excellent too. Typical that another legal thing landed in your inbox as soon as you'd finished! It's always the way 🙄. Hope you work out which TGTG stall it is and get some great fruit and veg bargains 🍎🥕🤞😁
Thank you re my Mum too 🤗

Anybody planning on watching the football Monday morning?
Have to admit I won't be doing and to be honest a little nervous about my early drive to work!

My daughter is currently playing holiday. It involves going room to room carrying a load of bags. I have period pains and am just turning a blind eye to the mess 😆

Doctors and nurses now. 😆

It involved a blanket and a doll.

RumBananaSundae · 04/07/2026 17:20

Last two days spending has been about £15 on groceries. That includes some smoked hummus from Lidl today for 99p.

How was Trago Mills @DirtyGertiefromno30?

Hope your daughter has had a lovely day playing @DeepFriedCreamEgg.

Uneventful day here so far. Have done no job hunting related activities. Did vacuum. That’s as far as the housework has progressed. Have had some French cheese and bread. I have leftover cheese so that’s thrown my meal planning out as I was planning Norwegian tomorrow.

Afternoon everyone 🤗
Back from Trago , didn't buy anything there but Matalan had a brilliant sale on £21, Aldi £15, Asda £30 , M&S £3 .
Trago was nothing special tbh but itb
sounds like you've done well with the shopping, especially the 99p smoked hummus @RumBananaSundae 😊
Nothing wrong with a quiet day. At least you got the vacuuming done, do you good to have a quiet day sweetheart.
French cheese and bread sounds really nice. The Norwegian meal can always wait till another day. You can never have enough cheese in my book 😁👏.
