We are hoping for about 3 weeks time but it's just too cold at the moment.

Theeaglesoared · 22/02/2023 18:37

Don't be ridiculous. It's bloody freezing.

just now it is reasonably mild for the time of year but anytime between now and end of March we could have another cold spell below zero, I adjust my heating according to temperature a bit lower than last year, most of the time, I expect people to wear a jumper or hoodie and slipers and socks and maybe a fleece blanket watching tv or sitting but if it is still cold the heating is on set for about 15-16 in the daytime as we both WFH my office benefits from the sun so is generally warm enough if sun out without a heater, though sometimes it is too bright to see PC screen so have to draw curtain part way, set for about 18 in the evening a few years ago it would have been 20, I am happy with 14 overnight sleeping but DH isn't

Mine is on and will remain on until such time as I am not cold. I WFH and I am miserable if I am chilly.

Yes! Can't afford to run them. I bought DS(9) and me an Oodie each and I've woken up too hot. Heating is never going on. If DS says he's cold, he's told to put his Oodie on! It's massive on him.

We’re in a well insulated new build so it just comes on and off as necessary. Even in the winter, it didn’t come in loads even though we had it set to 21 degrees. In bed, we have a Superking but with a double duvet each. Not only does it stop duvet wars, it means you can get warmer as well as you can wrap up really well. It’s lovely.
