MandUs come on in.
The way I do a budget is write all the expenses down as an annual figure to get a grand total, take the net annual income, minus one from the other, divide the remainder by 12 and that's your monthly spare cash.
I take it out as cash to prevent over spending, once my purse is empty that's it until next month. You ignore what's in the bank because it's already been budgeted for, if an expense isn't on your budget list it has to come out of the spare cash.
When you do the initial sum and there's no spare cash but a minus figure instead, that's when you have to start questioning what you consider to be essential and be a bit more ruthless.
Happy Easter everyone
As usual I'm cleaning, it being Sunday. Theoretically anyway, I'm actually on the sofa still in my pyjamas. So I'd best get on with it. I have a Galaxy egg with truffles.
