It’s totally your choice if you have another, he needs to drop it especially knowing how hard it was for you to adjust to the second pregnancy. He’s being unfair! Angry

Phoned psychiatrist wondering where my appointment was. I need one by around 6/12 latest or I’ll run out of meds. She’d said last time that she’d book me in... turns out she’d not put that request on my notes. FFS. Waiting for her to get back to me, I need to discuss dose anyway.

ememem84 · 26/11/2019 10:54

To be honest lap I don’t think he’s being unfair. He’s allowed an opinion but at the end of the day my choice. He does know how I struggled with the second pregnancy and he knows my feelings on a third. Ie nope no way never.

I think he thinks maybe that if it was to happen I’d get on with it. Change my mind. But I’ve said no.

Anyway.

LivingInLaputa · 26/11/2019 11:14

Yeah that’s fair enough Thanks your body your choice ❤️

Back to the gym today. First time in ages.

LivingInLaputa · 26/11/2019 14:41

Whoa. So there’s me wondering if my ADHD meds are making any difference... normally I would lose track of how many reps I’d done every single time on each machine. Literally couldn’t count beyond about five without losing my place Blush

I didn’t lose track even once today!!!

Managed most of my workout too except I was a bit too dizzy to risk the cross trainer. Yay!

ememem84 · 26/11/2019 16:27

Good work lap

£125 at clinic for mirena. All done. Feel a bit twingy now.

Also £97 in sports direct. Waterproof jacket, trousers, thermal base layer and loop scarf snood thingy. More than I initially wanted to spend but jacket and trousers are a decent brand (karrimor) and should last me ages.

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 26/11/2019 19:12

Evening all just catching up.

Totally your choice em Hope you're not too sore now. Your dd is adorable 😍

Glad meds are helping lap gorgeous pic of your babies!

Fab news that things are going in the right direction with your house Camden

That attitude would pee me right off wreck, surely if you die he'll be so heartbroken and busy raising his two children on his own that procreation will be the last thing on his mind!! That said even vastectomies aren't 100% my friends didn't work!! I know it's a bigger op but if you're 100% sure you're done having babies female sterilisation is also an option.

Its payday tomorrow and I've already been spending the money! Spent £30 on Amazon on various Christmas gifts and also £40 on the cath kidson website in their sale. Got myself a new purse (used bday money) and bought a few gifts as well, all half price and free p&p. Also spent £40 on three canvas pics and some photos which I'll frame all gifts for various grandparents.

Slowly making headway with Christmas shopping!!

WreckTangled · 26/11/2019 19:26

Nah I'd love more babies! It financially we can't so we won't unless we win the lottery Grin also if dh died I might meet someone else Grin

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 26/11/2019 19:42

Aww gorgeous photos, em and lap.

Happy Birthday to your ds wreck, hope he had a great day.

ememem84 · 26/11/2019 20:40

girlie I’d spoken to my gp about sterilisation and she advised have the coil first (because apparently here they won’t do sterilisation unless other forms of contraception have been used...🙄) then we can talk about sterilisation. She said aswell that given my age and my mums history (mum had super bad periods developed endometriosis and a hysterectomy at 43) “they’d” more than likely agree a sterilisation before I’m 40. If I want it.

For now though coil.

It was ok. I’m a bit uncomfortable now. But hopefully that’ll pass.

ememem84 · 26/11/2019 20:41

Ds has finally gone to bed and is sleeping. Spot him in amongst the animals. I’ll remove most of them when I go to bed.

Grin wreck

Glad you are all sorted em

I’m still on the fence about a DC3. If I could guarantee being a SAHM for the first few years then maybe, but then we’d be skint. But I can’t imagine getting 3 DC up at 6.30am to leave for work at 7.25am. I think I’d be knackered before the work day even began!

Lovemaltesers · 26/11/2019 20:51

DD2 lost her first tooth today. Super excited girl 😍

LivingInLaputa · 27/11/2019 00:29

Aww how lovely love :) has the tooth fairy visited yet? I remember too many “oh crap! Where’s a pound coin” at midnight :o

Love the surrounded-by-teddies pic em

Hope the discomfort from the coil eases off soon. I got an instant “no sterilisation, your DH needs the snip” when I asked at my 6 week check, but no family history etc. Endometriosis is awful, your poor mum :(

I’ve just realised in the next two weeks (probably) I have to sort uniform and school shoes Shock and bra shopping for DD. I have also been rather impulsive and ordered a winter coat. I hate online clothes shopping (because of the faff of returns), but I also hate shopping for coats :o :o and I need one as my jacket is not warm at all.

Not frugal times at all Blush

Can’t believe it’s less than a month till Christmas!

SnugglySnerd · 27/11/2019 07:04

Em you've reminded me we really really should do wills.

Nsd yesterday. Should be another today. I also got a small pay rise and little bit of back pay which us good.

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/11/2019 07:17

For uniform lap can you use Sainsbury's. The 25% off is on now apparently

WreckTangled · 27/11/2019 07:43

Lap definitely go to Sainsbury's this week whilst the 25% off is on. You can get everything there except maybe a bra. Debenhams have offers on all bras right now I think

ememem84 · 27/11/2019 07:48

lap it’s mad how “they” decide things like that isn’t it? Nope you can’t have it because....

Dh is slightly concerned about the ship because apparently a percentage of men suffer long term pain after. And to be fair if he was one of them I couldn’t cope with the moaning...!

Need to post my parcel off to nz today for Christmas. And pop into Waitrose to get bread. We’ve worked out that the essential bread is the cheapest we can buy here. A loaf of coop bread is £1.80. Waitrose I think is £0.89.

LivingInLaputa · 27/11/2019 07:52

Oooh good shout life thanks, it’s a secondary academy and they’ve just got a new much stricter HT, so most of the uniform is specific (skirt + blazer alone = over £60) but she will also need things like white shirts and tights. She will be part time for a while (starting at two hours a day) so I’m hoping we could get away with one skirt to begin with?! I’ve told her the routine will be showering as soon as she gets in as that forces her not to stay in the uniform all evening. :o

Can’t complain really though as I’ve had 5 years of not needing to buy any uniform at all :o Also I will ask if there’s a particular place to get second hand.

Rubbish night’s sleep but today will be good, I have therapy in a few hours and then in the evening I’m seeing Tim Minchin! A friend had spare tickets last minute so she’s taking me and another friend.

LivingInLaputa · 27/11/2019 08:01

Yeah that is my worry too em :(

There were a few women in the hospital having the sterilisation when they had their planned c-sections, but I guess that is different as they could conveniently do it without a whole extra operation. The snip must be very quick and cheap by comparison.

Thanks wreck! I’ll definitely go back to Debenhams, her first proper bras (as opposed to crop tops) came from there, they were in the kids bit but I expect she will need something from the actual lingerie department now. She’s growing up so fast!

ememem84 · 27/11/2019 08:59

lap jealous! I love Tim Minchin. Very funny. (Also I secretly think he’s hot!!!)

School sounds exciting and a massive change for all of you!

Was it you who bought the wooden animals for Dd? Holztiger ones? I’m looking on eBay and am a bit 😳😱 at the cost. But thinking of getting some for Dd.

LivingInLaputa · 27/11/2019 09:22

I must confess I don’t really know his stuff! I googled a bit and the songs I saw were funny. But friend was absolutely insistent she wanted to take friends rather than sell them last minute. I’m super excited about the evening out with friends as much as the comedy :o

Yep it’s me with the Holztiger addiction. Blush If you look on websites like babipur and yesbebe (assuming they ship to you, I’m not sure) they’ll give a better idea of actual price. On eBay they might be retired/hard to find ones and people pay batshit prices for them. I am in a couple of FB selling groups and go for bundles of mostly used ones to save money, most have been in amazing condition/barely played with.

Right must go to therapy now! The three weeks since the last session have felt like forever :o I’m on the hunt for an iPad case if I have time too, mine is trashed and keeps falling off.

LivingInLaputa · 27/11/2019 09:29

That said, even without the eBay markup they are £££. 🙈 Amazon isn’t very accurate either. I’m hoping to just buy a few each Christmas/birthday now.

WreckTangled · 27/11/2019 10:57

I'm also jealous he's so funny. He co wrote Matilda the musical too hence why the songs are so awesome

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/11/2019 11:05

Seen this on the Christmas thread
