LivingInLaputa · 25/11/2019 17:20

Met with school today. Got another meeting next week to arrange screening/placement tests and registration and to set up DD1’s timetable... eeeek! It’s all getting very very real now!

Then managed a swim too. :)

CamdenTownie · 25/11/2019 17:21

Thanks everyone for all the supportive messages regarding the building work, we are hopeful that part of it will be ready in time for Christmas which means that DD's can finally have some space and time away from each other(very much needed).

No idea what to have for dinner tonight, forgot to take something out of the freezer last night so will cobble something together.

I'm on the last week of a five week month, things are very, very tight. I'm trying to eek out the washing powder and dishwasher tablets until Friday when I eventually get paid.

Anyone else struggling through an extra long month?? Need to get used to it as Christmas pay will be very early, which means it's 6 weeks between December payday and January's 😲😬

WreckTangled · 25/11/2019 17:42

I finally got my driving licence back but the online expenses team have to approve it and that can take five days and they've moved the deadline for this months expenses to tomorrow AngryAngry so bloody annoying.

Wolfcub · 25/11/2019 19:11

I've taken myself to Nando's for dinner reclaimable apart from the wine

Plan to go back to the hotel and watch shite tv soon

I can't remember who said it's felt like a long month financially but it definitely has.

Mmm roasted aubergine is one of my favourites Plancina!

We had bubble and squeak for tea to use up leftovers from yesterday. I love bubble and squeak!

Nsd. Yay!

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/11/2019 20:31

Great news on the house Camden.
Enjoy the shite TV wolf.
Yy it's been a long month but we don't get paid early in December. NYE payday here.

Lovemaltesers · 25/11/2019 20:40

We should get paid before Christmas, but I have to input all the stuff extra early into payroll in order for this to be done Haloween Sad

Went out for dinner with an old school friend. £14.

I need to book DD2s birthday party too. So ££s

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 25/11/2019 20:48

NSD.

Hope everyone is doing ok.
I'm really tired, so getting an early night.

ememem84 · 25/11/2019 22:11

Oooh nsd today. Haven’t had one of those for a while.

Tomorrow I’m having my mirena fitted. Hoorah.

Im planning on being more accountable in January. As of jan 1 im going to look at exactly how much money I have in savings and work out what I want that figure to be by the end of the year. Realistically. Not a never going to happen figure.

I’m going to budget (both personal spends and joint spends) and really want to get on top of my/our finances. But also want to enjoy our lives etc. Tough balance.

northender · 25/11/2019 22:14

Camden glad the building situation has improved.
Am on my phone so can't check back, but well done on the nectar points deal for the kindles, I think it was love

Just wondering whether any of the teachers can advise? Ds is hoping to get extra time & rest breaks in his A levels as advised in writing by the consultant and the physio he is seeing for the CFS. He has seen the learning support staff today who seemed very resistant to him getting both. Da wants to deal with it himself for now & the subject tutors seem supportive. Do you know is he likely to get both or should he expect just rest breaks? I so wish he hadn't done such tough subjects now, hindsight is wonderful.....

SnugglySnerd · 25/11/2019 22:24

I can't see why they wouldn't go with medical evidence to be honest North. Will he have mocks to see how it goes? Then maybe ask again? Sorry that's probably not very helpful!

WreckTangled · 26/11/2019 06:25

Hope the merina fitting goes ok em. It didn't work for me ds is 7 today! Ant believe it it all seems like yesterday. Still need to buy a cake.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 26/11/2019 06:50

em, take some pain relief before it is fitted.

maddenlightfoot · 26/11/2019 06:58

Happy birthday wreck ds!

Just bread, milk and apples for us yesterday. Made a lovely sausage and butternut squash tray-bake. Very frugal as both main ingredients were leftover from cooking at the weekend. Hopefully there's enough for tonight too (although kids might have to have there's as a pasta sauce).

I forgot to take my card last night to pay gym class for dd. I did try to phone later but no answer so I'm planning on forgetting it til next week so I can shift the expense to december's budget 😂

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/11/2019 07:06

It's not like you didn't try to pay madden.
Happy birthday wreck DS.
Yy to pain killers em.

Opening a debit card account for DD today. Bit of shopping in town where she will no doubt fleece me. Met her tutor at the allotted time.

ememem84 · 26/11/2019 08:06

Don’t say things like that wreck 😱😳😳😂😂😂😛😛

Noted re the painkillers. I was debating it but will make sure I take something before.

im still not taking any chances and will be taking extra precautions from now on. Another baby would just about finish me off I think. Dh isn’t in agreement with this and has said that it wouldn’t be so bad but I’m the one who’d have to do the pregnancy and birth and I’m not willing to go through that again. We had a very blunt conversation about it last night. So he knows where I stand on this.

WreckTangled · 26/11/2019 08:10

Can he get a vasectomy em? Def take painkillers

ememem84 · 26/11/2019 08:30

He could wreck and I’ve asked him to consider it. I obviously can’t make him.

He’s started making excuses already though - doesn’t have time to get info, doesn’t trust surgeons here so would need to go uk to do it etc. Which is fine his body his choice. . I’ve told him how I feel - my body my choice.

ememem84 · 26/11/2019 08:31

And as cute as Dd is I just don’t want another!!

WreckTangled · 26/11/2019 09:09

DH won't have on in case I die and he wants more children Angry

ememem84 · 26/11/2019 09:11

Oh man!!

We’ve had the “in case we die” conversation this weekend too as we were filling out paperwork to get wills written. Sigh.

LivingInLaputa · 26/11/2019 09:40

Awww cute photo em and good luck for the coil fitting.

DH is getting the snip after Christmas, we’ve always discussed it as a hypothetical but he’s happy to go ahead. I wouldn’t be without our little surprise #3 but holy crap I am not doing this ever again. Pregnancy and birth I could handle but not the toddler phase. I never thought I’d feel totally “done” (although we had decided not to try again after DS, I felt sad about it and knew if we ever “fell” it would be a blessing in disguise really) but I really do now. I didn’t even feel broody when my friend brought her (incredibly cute) new baby round :o Nope. Family complete ❤️❤️❤️
