I think I share your name as well em, when I was growing up I didn't know anyone else with my name but now there seems to be quite a lot of us about! I like my name.

Got a busy day today, taking the dog to get his nails clipped in about an hour, then going to mums, probably popping into town and I need to clear up at home and get the Christmas stuff out of the loft!!

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/12/2019 08:54

Happy birthday lap.
You may ignore it but we won't. Have s good day

ememem84 · 07/12/2019 08:59

Cancelled riding today. So £42 next week as I cancelled at short notice.

My hands are just so stiff and sore today.

Dh came home at 1145 last night. Woke me up - not noise but I woke up as I could smell toast. So got up and went to investigate. He’d been making toast. So I had toast and jam at 0030. And a tea. Struggled to sleep after but was so nice!

Lovemaltesers · 07/12/2019 09:09

Happy birthday lap

SnugglySnerd · 07/12/2019 10:42

Happy birthday Lap!

I'm now trying to work out everyone's names from the ones that I know! It's like doing one of those maths puzzles where you have to work out someone's age and the info you have is all their sibling's ages and that she is half her brother's age but double her sister's. I could never work them out!

£7 Aldi on top up of milk and veg.

Happierwithouthim · 07/12/2019 11:48

I've one sister snuggly she shares your name Grin

Happierwithouthim · 07/12/2019 11:53

We're going to cinema kids club €3.50 each and I've a gift card for €9.70 so basically just cost of food. We're going to Shaun the sheep as their dad promised to take them and hasn't plus I've my Christmas party next sat so I've mom guilt Grin

We're entertaining tonight - everything's ready to go
Goats cheese & pudding in puff pastry parcels with red onion marmalade & baby leaf salad, breaded mozz sticks for dc & those who don't like goats cheese Grin
Butter chicken curry or glazed salmon for mains
Chocolate self saucing pudding or Eton mess for dessert

Simple
Made the pudding thing with veggie clonakilty as I've a veggie coming Grin
Last year there was a vegan so this is easier

ememem84 · 07/12/2019 12:25

Made gingerbread men with ds. He was so happy.

ChristmasSeacow · 07/12/2019 12:45

Happy birthday Lap, I somehow missed that!

I’ve just made gingerbread dough too Em, it’s resting in the fridge now. DS was very interested! I decided I’d like to make gingerbread Christmas trees for the fete instead of men, but I only have a small Christmas tree cutter so I’ve just ordered a bigger one via Prime to come this evening. I hope it doesn’t come too late or I’ll have to revert to Plan A! Trees would be quicker to decorate though.

Love I’m trying to work it out, there are two possible candidates but I’m going with the obvious. Do you use the diminutive or the full name? The full name is lovely and not old lady at all!

I can’t remember the names of Wolf et all, though I’m sure it’s been discussed before. Nor Snuggly. My memory is really crap these days, I blame the kids 🙄.

Heading out shortly to go to a local artisan makers’ market on the way to hair appt. I hope i am not tempted by too much me... the stuff is really beautifully handmade.

Bornlazy · 07/12/2019 13:01

Thanks for good wishes re MIL x She had a period of being very confused which she is starting to come out of now so that’s easier to deal with. Looks like she will be in hospital over Christmas.

Wolf you deserve a holiday you work really hard all year round and you’ve had so much going on it’s much needed.

Unescorted we go through a lot of toilet seats too. I wondered if it’s our toilet that’s not compatible with some seats as despite regular tightening I frequently think I’m going to fall off it as it slides without warning and gives me a terrible fright.

Lap Happy Birthday 🎂 How exciting about school for dd but lots of extra stress too. You’re right it’s only for a few weeks and then you will be able to take some time to get organised. Although if you’re anything like me the more time you have the less organised you are Blush

Wreck I hope jury duty goes well for you.

Isn’t Amazon Prime just the best thing ever. Love the struggle is real 😂

Happierwithouthim · 07/12/2019 13:04

Food cost €18.50 at cinema Shock and that's just 3 kids trays & upgrading two drinks to frozen Fanta Shock

Lovemaltesers · 07/12/2019 14:50

Wrong guess sea. Name of Paul Robinson’s grandma. You can’t really shorten my name.

The DC are currently getting excited about their Christmas decorations made in previous years. A very DIY decorated tree Xmas Smile but very lovely

I’m not sure we’ve ever bought a new toilet seat

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/12/2019 15:16

That's not a bad name love. I thought the one beginning with M first. Married to H.

I resisted prime for years but now would not give it up.

Forgot to say wolf. You totes deserve the holiday.

£65 Aldi. That shop is not as cheap anymore. Still marginally beats Sainsbury's but not much. £18 Iceland. No meal plan this week yet

WreckTangled · 07/12/2019 15:18

I agree aldi isn't as cheap. My shop was £72 there this week plus an extra £7 Sainsbury's but that was shampoo and coffee. And I forgot the cauliflower Hmm

ChristmasSeacow · 07/12/2019 16:25

Love that’s my sister’s name and I think it’s lovely!

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 07/12/2019 16:43

I know happiers name, that is the same as my sisters, and I've only ever met another two in real life. I'm glad there are a few more!

Wolfcub · 07/12/2019 17:39

£30 beautician

Curvy I knew No-one with that name at junior school. There were two others at high school and two at uni. Now amongst the school mums in ds's group there are blooming loads of us. I'm the only one spelled my way

Have ordered Xmas gifts for nieces will wrap and post

Making a roast for dinner.

There is a third series of Mrs Maisel for those who love her. I have binged

OP posts:
Plancina · 07/12/2019 18:24

My name was super popular in the mid 80s - I was one of 5 of that name in school!
I now teach and I hardly ever see it in my pupils, so I worry it is like the Ethel or Mildred of its day! It’s the same as a character in a very lovely Frances Hodgson-Burnett story about a little girl whose dad dies leaving her at boarding school, but I spell it differently.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 07/12/2019 18:25

Ahh wolf 5 letters or 6? My sister is with 5.

Is Mrs Maisel good?

WreckTangled · 07/12/2019 18:27

Dd has just finished reading that book plan Grin

I just hit a deer. Luckily both deer and car are ok but dd cried and was shaken up.

Wolfcub · 07/12/2019 18:30

Curvy I have aaaaallll the letters Grin

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 07/12/2019 18:30

Yet there were 3 in my year at school wolf. One shared the same birthday with me. Spelling was different though.

£14 pizza hut, £20 trampoline park and ££ more pizza.

Wolfcub · 07/12/2019 18:30

And Mrs Maisel is very good

OP posts:
Plancina · 07/12/2019 19:03

wreck it’s one of my all time faves! I used to wish my name was spelt like the heroine, but I have resigned myself to my version now Grin

SnugglySnerd · 07/12/2019 19:38

I'm getting more and more confused about all the names!

Spendy day as we had a big Christmas outing and several treats. Dd just said she loved every single thing we did today though so totally worth it! I loved it too. Love Christmas!

Very very tired. Just started watching Strictly.
