Well how ever it is spelt, wolf it is a lovely name.

My name is French, a feminine form of a male name. It is also Hebrew meaning "who is like god?"
There was a character in Eastenders with my name, but she left years ago!
I don't mind my name and most people pronounce it properly and as long as you don't shorten it in front of my mum, all is good!

My last name is only one syllable but that is constantly said wrong and often with two syllables.

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 07/12/2019 20:24

Busy day and spendy really

Ended up spending around £25 at the vets getting nails clipped and flea and work treatment for the dog. The vet nurse caught one of his toes and it bled like mad! Poor pooch, we were all a bit traumatised and annoyingly I think ddog will be very nervous going back.

Spent another £6 in the pet shop on supplies.

£6 in Poundland

£10 in Morrison's

£18 prescriptions x 2 😱 so expensive!

I've really got to reign in the spends, I think I've got around £200 to last the rest of the month.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 07/12/2019 21:01

plan, there are lots of girls at my work (nursery) with your name, some different spellings, so if you work in London then maybe you will meet some again!

Me and dd2 went out today, we saw Santa, got some new Christmas decorations, I want to replace all the ones that I have had for years, as they are all a bit tatty, plus this will be the first Christmas without ex and I want to do it my way!

Spends today
£6 Santa
£72.37 in matalan, should have been £93.50 but I had a 25% off voucher. I got 2 jumpers for me. A pair of trousers, two tops, a two piece set, a dress and a pair of boots for dd2, she is a size 4 in shoes and many of the kids options stop at a 2 or 3, so adult shoes now, which cost more! But I am happy with what we got.
£6 poundland
£3.75 greggs on lunch for me and dd2
£13 in wilkos on decorations
£6.97 b and m on some art bits for dd2, I'm doing her an art box for Christmas.

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 07/12/2019 22:42

Oh and happy birthday lap 🌻🌼🌸⭐️🌈🎂🎈🎉🎁💝** i hope you've had a lovely day.

ChristmasSeacow · 08/12/2019 00:31

I’ve made 48 gingerbread Christmas trees for the bloody PTA. My back is complaining so I’m off to bed!

Oh, and I didn’t buy anything at the makers’ market. But £76 for hair. And about £10 on fruit and veg top up.

Sleep well sea. They are lovely. I blew minds last week by telling someone an up side down gingerbread Man makes a reindeer

SnugglySnerd · 08/12/2019 07:14

Wow Life that's blown my mind too. We might make some of those!

Just read that C4 have done an animated film of The Tiger Who Came to Tea to be aired on Christmas Eve. I'm so excited! It's one of our favourites!

Wolfcub · 08/12/2019 08:26

Happy Birthday for yesterday Lap

My name is the Australian version of Sharon / Tracy - always has to be shrieked and has a billion shortened versions and nearly as many longer versions. So I use my middle name for work. My friends & family use my nick name (many of them think it is my real name) which is why I go off on rants about some faux adventurer nicking my name..... everyone knows it is a Girls name the dickhead.

Sea they are amazing gingerbread trees.

Today my baby girl is going off to Oxford for the start of her interview stay. Interview at the College, interview and test at The Ruskin and hang about to see if any of the other colleges want to interview her. As I am still in denial about a missed period this all seems a little surreal, but I am so super proud.

Unescorted · 08/12/2019 08:41

Born thank you for making me feel normal - I thought we just had poor technique.

ChristmasSeacow · 08/12/2019 09:17

Unescorted we break loo seats too. They seem to get a bit ‘slidey’ over time and slip from side to side... then eventually break.

The very best of luck to your DD, I am sure her talent will take her far, whether she gets to Oxford it not, but it’s a magical place.

Just made 24 cheese scones. Am contemplating having a warm one for breakfast.

Wolfcub · 08/12/2019 09:24

Mmmm cheese scone

I'm about to go and spend two or more hours in pissing rain, driving side winds and a chill factor of 0 degrees. Bloody boys, bloody sport

Oh cheese scones. Le yum.

I’m still feeling rotten today. Hot and cold. Achey. Snotty. We have a Christmas party to go to this afternoon. Dhs work are throwing it for all the office kids. At our local softplay/trampoline/ninja warrior place. I’ve never been there as it’s new. Dh desperately wants us to go as a family (to show off our cute kids- why wouldn’t we they are cute...!) but I’m not sure I’m up to making small talk or sitting running round In the hell thats softplay with Ds. I’ll see how I feel later though.

If I go I’m going to have to do some serious “tarting up” of myself. So I look presentable and not half dead. 😂

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 08/12/2019 10:25

Unescorted I'm sure your dd will blow them away!

Bornlazy · 08/12/2019 11:04

Sea love those trees! Your PTA are very lucky to have you.

Unescorted good luck to you dd. What/who’s missed period are you in denial about? Ignore me if I’m being nosey or have picked you up wrong.

Happierwithouthim · 08/12/2019 11:17

Glad someone else commented on missed period Shock

€6.40 worm tablets for ddog
€3 parking
€20 salt rooms for dc, bonus is I got to go in with them Grin
€20.64 Aldi

Plancina · 08/12/2019 11:50

sea those cookies look incredible! We are on our way to brunch with my best friend and her kids, one of whom is my goddaughter. Should be nice. I need to get a small stocking filler for DP as well but otherwise should be a low spend day.
I have made an appointment to have all the colour stripped out of my hair and have warm highlights. Hairdresser says this will be easier to maintain as I have naturally very dark brown hair but now about 60% grey.

Wolfcub · 08/12/2019 12:32

I think unescorted means she's still surprised she has a child old enough for uni

£16 fish and chip treat lunch. Le yum and I am stuffed

Happierwithouthim · 08/12/2019 12:40

Maybe unescorted missed a period & baby girl was the result & now said baby girl is off to college Grin reading it again that's my interpretation

Bornlazy · 08/12/2019 14:07

Ah that makes sense!! 😀 Although I’m slightly disappointed 😂

Unescorted · 08/12/2019 15:42

Yes she is the missed period. 18 years gone in a flash..... thankfully no more in the pipeline. My missed periods are now menopausal rather than pregnancy.

Thanks for the good luck wishes... I am going to be a mess for the next 3 days, and then the waiting until she gets the outcome.

LivingInLaputa · 08/12/2019 17:10

Aah hope it goes well unescorted!
Amazing baking as always seacow Envy

LivingInLaputa · 08/12/2019 17:11

Kids party done. Was crazy. But so generous of dhs work. It’s usually £15 per kid to get into the trampoline place. Free. Drinks and snacks free. Trampoline socks. Free. Ds bouncing on trampoline and going crazy in softplay. Amazing. Mummy almost got stuck.

At dparents now. Not feeling great. We debated coming but we need to eat and it’s easier because dparents and dsis are here so they can do “childcare” while I sit down...

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/12/2019 19:26

Gorgeous photo lap.
Pleased the party was good em
Unescorted Grin good luck to DD. .
Few spends in town. Nothing significant
