Wolf deserved

ememem84 · 06/12/2019 19:54

Absolutely deserved wolf

I’m keeping the decoration. Tag was off before I even read the name. Never mind. 😂😂

I’m watching the handmaids tale on sky (well now tv). Dh has gone out so I’m home alone with both kiddos. They’re both asleep. #mummyforthewin

I never read the book in school, it’s not one we did. But I’ve started listening to the audio book.

SnugglySnerd · 06/12/2019 19:59

Totally deserved Wolf!

Em a friend of mine had a little boy about 6 months before I had ds and I called ds by my friend's son's name several times, especially when we were all together! No idea why!

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 06/12/2019 20:11

You deserve a holiday wolf!! I need to start booking a few things to look forward to for next year.

Hilarious em 🤣

Im glad it's Friday, although reckon this wend will be busy!

Spent £7 earlier on crap Blush oh well it's Friday!

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 06/12/2019 20:31

That's great news plan!

Well deserved wolf

Spends today
McDonald's £14 something, once for me for lunch, then for the kids for tea.
Dd2 had her after school club show, didn't finish until 7 and they needed food, you know because they we're staving!

Unescorted · 06/12/2019 21:07

Evening - glad it is Friday.

wolf it is planned and deserved. Frugal Bingo.
plan great news.
em I am called by my middle name b/c my parents kept calling me the name of one of their friend's kids....which is the same as my middle name. It is as well b/c I am not a fan of my first name.

Today's spends... £10 new loo seat ( we break a couple a year... no idea why), £12 beer brewing kit from Wilkos… the specialist shop I used to go to shut down so I thought I would give them a try. And £7 on a set of bath smellies & candles for a colleague who was having a shit day. Actually a shit month.... she deserves it.

ChristmasSeacow · 06/12/2019 22:37

I’m quite curious about your real first name now Unescorted. Lots of possibilities spring to mind WinkGrin.

Fabulous news Plan, that must be a huge relief! You can have a relaxed Christmas now.

Well deserved Wolf. Are you going with DS or on your own? I hope you have a wonderful time.

I am watching Die Hard and sorting stocking stuff into bags for each recipient and wrapping a few bits. DH is out at his Christmas do. I’m about to go and pour myself a lovely big Madeira too Smile. Not a very frugal day, I’ve spent £100 on Christmas lights for outside (been meaning to do this for years!) and also £40 on naice yarn. Christmas present to myself as DH is not likely to make much effort .

I have definitely got DS too much stuff this year. He’s probably going to be overwhelmed so I’ll have to space it out over the two weeks. It’s unusual for me to have multiple ideas for him so I got a bit excited! I’ve also worked out I have enough leave to take 2 whole weeks off over Christmas so I’m feeling quite chirpy. I could do with the break and I’ll enjoy it.

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 06/12/2019 22:49

Dd helped out at the local theatre tonight and had a great time again, seems to be a really positive thing for her to do. She did have a couple of rude customers to deal with which is also a good introduction to the world of work!! Ahh the great British public 🙄😉😁

Seacow I love** Diehard, one of my favourite Christmas films!! Is it on Netflix? I keep wondering if dd is old enough for it yet.

Unescorted · 06/12/2019 23:00

sea all of them would be better.

ChristmasSeacow · 07/12/2019 00:00

I recorded it on the Sky box last Christmas Girlie, just got round to watching it! Was most fun, only seen it once before in the 1990s. Amazing to realise it’s over 30 years old.

Unescorted I daren’t speculate in case I offend anyone on this thread called Marjorie

ememem84 · 07/12/2019 00:55

I’m guessing unescorted is either a really unusual name like Lettice, or Loveday; a really mainstream name like Jane or Louise (everyone I know has middle name Louise) or named after a pop star. Are you Called Cher?

I know I share a name with one of you. Think it’s sea. But not sure.

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/12/2019 06:29

Em you share with lonely.
I share with 2 frugaleers.

£15 yesterday on a couple of drinks and the taxi last night. Great time, just a nice meal, good company and lots of dancing

SnugglySnerd · 07/12/2019 07:13

I'm intrigued now Unescorted! My phone tries to change your mn name to "UNESCO" like the world heritage sites Grin

ChristmasSeacow · 07/12/2019 07:32

I’d be astonished if any of you shared my name, it’s very unusual! Less common than Loveday, in fact (I’ve just looked it up Wink).

It was defo Lonely that share your name Em, but Lonely and I are both knitters so maybe that’s what you remembered.

Late to bed and up early again. Technically it’s my lie-in tomorrow but I’ve got to get up early to make cheese scones fresh for the school fete. Lots of baking here today (again), in between baby ballet /coffee with DD and a hair appointment later. I am sooo looking forward to getting my hair done. Mostly just to sit in peace with some magazines Smile

Wolfcub · 07/12/2019 07:44

There's another of us Life? Now I'm dying to know who although I think it might be North

I am sure we had a frugaleer whose real first name was an animal

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 07/12/2019 07:56

I booked a hair cut b it dd and me next week. Hopefully I will still have some money when it comes to it, second hair cut in four years Blush can't wait!

I'm doing lots of batch cooking this weekend as my jury service starts Monday and it's going to be really tricky getting the dc fed before ds' evening school plays. Luckily my mum is coming to look after them but want to make it as easy as possible for her.

Lovemaltesers · 07/12/2019 08:00

That’s hilarious about the decoration em

My DD2 shares her name with lap

My name has been described as an old lady name, mainly because of the elderly lady’s name in neighbours about 25 years ago

DD2 asked Father Christmas in the letter she wrote at school for pens, pizza and an umbrella. These are new things compared to the one we wrote at home and she’s not getting an umbrella as she would basically poke people’s eyes out on the school run.

I’ve just spent £25 on plastic toys from amazon Blush. We’ve been a week now without renewing our subscription to Amazon Prime. The struggle is very much a first world problem

WreckTangled · 07/12/2019 08:08

I hate my name. It's very 80's.

ememem84 · 07/12/2019 08:23

Oooh animal frugaleer name. As in “hi my name’s tiger?” that’s be awesome

I used to work with a lady called kitty. Also a Sleepy a Precious, a Heaven and a Peaches. Sleepy was Filipino, Precious and heaven Nigerian and Peaches was Sri lanken. Sleepy and Peaches were nicknames as their real names were too complicated to say (apparently). Kitty was short for Elizabeth.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 07/12/2019 08:31

Happy Birthday laputa FlowersCake, hope you have a lovely day.
You share a Birthday with my eldest, she is 22 today! Makes me feel old!

My name was popular back in the day, and there were only a couple of us who shared the name in secondary school. In my adult life, I've only come across a few.

Wolfcub · 07/12/2019 08:34
