Sorry that’s presents for Christmas 🎄 not just random ones Grin

CurlsandCurves · 24/10/2019 13:38

MOT fail. Boo.

But DH says he can do the work needed, so it’s a lot cheaper than getting the garage to do it. But I’ve spent all morning there and now got to do it all again next week. Ah well can’t be helped.

WreckTangled · 24/10/2019 13:50

Thanks. I've just slept for four hours Shock

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 24/10/2019 17:08

Welcome lucky
Plancina, I think I said hi before, if not please forgive me and welcome.

em, so much family drama, how do you keep up? Take it easy Brew.

Met my friend for coffee today, dd2 was with her dad, so it was nice to catch up without kids present, then I went and did a bit of shopping.
Coffee £2.20
New diary and calendar £5.70
Wilko £2.50 on some dried nuts and fruit and a bottle of water (I forgot mine due to rushing this morning)
£14.38 lidl, on some fruit, cat food and some wooden toys.
£2.49 tk max on a vegetable slicer thing, you know one of those giant sharperners to make veg ribbons.
£14.40 morrisons on some coffee and spices, and a bloody fiver of that on a lightbulb!

ememem84 · 24/10/2019 17:39

Big news here. Our government today has just approved new family friendly legislation to allow parents 52 weeks parental leave. With 6 weeks at full pay. Currently it’s 26 weeks.

Sadly one of our politicians has said publicly that breastfeeding is a fad and that they (the gov) are pandering to the snowflake generation here by allowing this.

Girliefriendlikescake · 24/10/2019 19:00

Another busy day, really looking forward to 5pm tomorrow as then I have 6 days off!!

We took the dog for a nice walk after work, he's like a proper dog now and can do an hours walk with out any trouble.

Nsd.

Pay day tomorrow 😊

That’s a lot of baking Life Shock

I’m off out for a day on the underground with DS - he’s very excited. I commute to work so can think of many things I’d rather do on a day off but if it makes him happy... Grin. I expect there will be spends on a book shop visit and cake /cheese toastie. With ASD we have to follow the formula Wink.

Baking later today as I have to make my DSises’ birthday cake. They just want a vanilla sponge slathered in buttercream. I have bought a slightly insulting cake topper too so all good 👍🏻.

Spent a lot yesterday. Waitrose top-up, lots of books from amazon, and a sequin cushion with a. Customised picture for DS (of his favourite London bus, how exciting). Not great on the frugal front.

ememem84 · 25/10/2019 09:30

Swimming with ds today. And obligatory stop in cafe/bar for flat white Apple juice and a biscuit.

Managed to get a load of laundry outside (although am watching it closely because rain is threatening!) and another one in the machine.

Kitchen cleaned and living room tidied.

After swimming I have an appointment for a colposcopy. Hooray. Confused but it should be ok.

I’ve got another 6 weeks of mat pay left so am trying to seriously save now in the run to Christmas.

I’m going to need to get Dd some sleep suits for the next size up and some vests/bodysuits. And some leggings. But will get these as and when. Hard to believe she’s 12 weeks now. Craziness.

I’m slowly replacing ds’ stuff as he needs it. A lot of his 18-24m stuff still fits. So am going to just let him wear it until it doesn’t.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 25/10/2019 12:11

Thanks happier, I still have to take it slow though! I don't remember being this slow when I had the other removed 6 and a half years ago, its probably because I'm getting old!
But listening to my body and taking breaks when I need them is the most important thing.

ChristmasSeacow · 25/10/2019 15:09

£35 in pizza express for lunch - ouch! I had a 2 for 1 voucher but apparently it’s not valid on Fridays and Saturdays Confused. Anyway, that plus some spend on oyster for getting on and off transport. And £3.99 for a book for DS. Today we went on the tube, then DLR, then river bus, (then lunch and bookshop), then bus, then overground, then tube. And a cheeky ride on a carousel we were passing too. I am knackered!

Roast chicken, new potatoes and salad tonight. And a bit of knitting and cake making - I’m not good for much else! House is a bit messy - I’ll finish tidying the kitchen today but the rest can wait till tomorrow.

WreckTangled · 25/10/2019 15:17

Nsd and payday, may have a look at my amazon basket!!

ememem84 · 25/10/2019 18:43

Appointment at hospital done. Phew. Fingers crossed nothing more to be done.

£23 Waitrose on wine crisps bread flora and jam.
Very rude lady in queue behind me was effing and jeffing about how slow the queue was moving. Then asked me to let her in front. She had a massive trolley. But was “busy” apparently. So obviously so so busy. I said no. And then took my time. passive aggressive much?! I mean what if I was actually busy....

luckygreeneyes · 25/10/2019 18:54

NSD for me. Although I supervised DH spend £31 on a top up shop in Tesco.

LivingInLaputa · 25/10/2019 21:07

Sorry it’s been tough wolf 💐

Watched EWFL. With DSD who graduated this year and was horrified at the spending of the students!

We all laughed at “lady pasta” 😂

Cagletini turned two today! We did bugger all though, just too worn out ATM. She loved her presents though, I’d spent months gradually buying second hand animals on an FB group. Excuse the nearly nakedness, she is never dressed these days Hmm

LivingInLaputa · 25/10/2019 21:08

Oops

Wolfcub · 25/10/2019 21:30

Ah happy birthday Cagletini 🎂

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 25/10/2019 22:38

Aww, such a cutie! Happy 2nd birthday Cagletini Cake 🥳

ChristmasSeacow · 26/10/2019 01:19

2? Blimey, that’s flown by! I forgot she’s just 4m younger than my DD. Happy birthday little *** . Those animals are really nice! Do your DC do well with the open ended play stuff? We have some but DD is most drawn to plastic characters (Peppa etc) that she can reenact stuff with, in spite of me trying to tempt her with wooden and schleich animals. she mostly wants to boss them around

Anyway Lap, nice to hear from you and I hope things have been looking up for you all. I also quite enjoyed EWFL and the lady pasta Grin. Nice kids.

Sorry you’ve had a rough week Wolf. You seem to be having things tough atm. Any prospect of work improving?

I’ve stayed up too late crafting but it’s my lie-in tomorrow, yay! No ballet due to half term.
