In bed. Catface just skidded through the open back door followed by another cat. Poor girl was so frightened.

Its been patrolling our garden and seems to have claimed it as it’s territory. I suspect because the old owners didn’t have cats.

Poor catface.

She’s snuggled up next to me now. Purring away and depuffing herself. She made herself so huge!!! I’m pretty sure she got a swipe in though so such a brave girl.

I definitely have ds’ cold. I feel rotten. Eugh. My throat is sore. Ears hurt. Sinuses are blocked. And I’m only allowed paracetamol which isn’t helping. I thought I’d cracked it earlier when I found some anti bacterial throat numbing mouthwash stuff. But nope. Seek medical advice before using this if pregnant. Ffs. I do need to pick up some bits from boots tomorrow so will check in with the pharmacist to see what they recommend.

I have a dr appointment anyway on Monday morning so can always get it checked out then if it’s still bad. Throat is superbly sore which is my main moan.

SnugglySnerd · 14/06/2019 22:17

Broke my NSD run today: £7 on weekend treat ice cream and a collection at work.
Very tired, will catch up on the thread properly tomorrow.

Girliefriendlikescake · 14/06/2019 22:31

Evening all, busy day at work today and finished late in the end.

Have managed a nsd and am very happy to have made it to the wend!

M attempting the curly girl method on my hair tomorrow, will be interesting to see if it can tame my frizz!!

ememem84 · 15/06/2019 07:01

So happy it’s saturday. Not so happy I have to be in town for 9 so I can get waxed. Who’s stupid idea was that?!

Ds woke up at 615. He’s downstairs with dh at present. I’m in bed still. Going to get up in a bit and have some breakfast with them.

Thatsnotmybaby · 15/06/2019 10:16

Busy day for me as we are heading away on holidays tomorrow so lots to do, DH is working but thankfully MIL is taking DC for a couple of hours.
Should be NSD.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Cagliostro · 15/06/2019 10:59

Good start to the weekend here as I (not a morning person) tried a Pilates class! Yay! It was good but some parts insanely difficult.

Happierwithouthim · 15/06/2019 11:31

€15 on nails yesterday
€18 on hair today
€35 on make up & lashes today
€€€€ on alcohol 🍷 Grin

€1.80 on newspaper
€48 on fuel

Bornlazy · 15/06/2019 11:31

em we have a cat that comes into our garden and terorises my cats. It’s a real bully and fights with all the cats in the area. My huge 16lbs male cat runs away from it but one of my feisty females sends it packing 💪🏼

NSD yesterday 🎉

Thats have a lovely holiday are you off somewhere nice?

Happierwithouthim · 15/06/2019 11:32

Em we've that going on with a huge white cat terrorising my Tom but he's getting better at defending his territory now

£24 waxing. Ouch. Then met dh and ds and had nice brunch. Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and coffee and me, full breakfast for dh, toasted tea cake for ds (second breakfast for him).

We’re home now and laundry has been folded and put away. I’ve thrown more in the machine.

cag well done on the Pilates!!! I find yoga/Pilates super soothing. Some bits are tough but persevere with it. Great for strength and calmness. 👍🏻😀😍

We’ve got friends coming over later on today. Dh is going to M&S and is buying the “king of burgers” can’t wait.

Girliefriendlikescake · 15/06/2019 13:12

Started off fairly productive this morning and have ground to a halt already! Need cup of tea and a sandwich I think, had a go at the curly girl method on my hair and am quite impressed, my hair is curly rather than frizzy for a change!

Popping to aldi in a bit and out for dinner with friends tonight.

Hair is fab girlie & so long!

Enjoy the day everyone Grin

WreckTangled · 15/06/2019 14:06

Girlie you have lovely hair.

Yesterday £70 Tesco but got £3 refunded because of short date fruit
£30 fuel found diesel for £1.25.9 which is 13p cheaper than our local one!

This morning £29 breakfast for me and dc
£49 oasis on a dress and top with my birthday money. Dh got me some Stan smiths. Love them. He's at work today though. Will buy me a Chinese tonight. Oh and £15 on some more foundation. £2 parking.

Wolfcubisthefemalenominal · 15/06/2019 14:36

Girlie you looked gorgeous. My hair is curly if I don’t straighten it but tends to have straight bits in an amongst

ChristmasSeacow · 15/06/2019 14:52

Wolf, I didn’t have you down as a curly top! Hair looks lovely Girlie. I think I need to try the curly girl method, my hair is pretty curly but seems to be frizzier than it was so something needs to be done. I’ll google it.

£62 in hobbycraft today - ouch! Got fondant icing and some other bits for DDs cake, helium for her balloons, some craft card and some play sand to top up the sand pit. Also some poster paints and glitter glue - infinitely preferable to actual glitter!

Weather forecast for the party next weekend is looking iffy now, I will not be happy if it rains Angry

Ocado came yesterday, £117. Fairly standard for us. I watched EWFL today, quite enjoyed it. I couldn’t believe they were so foodie and would buy fancy food /meal kits AND THEN have takeaways! Other than that I couldn’t really claim the moral high ground Grin

Millionaire’s shortbread now, then I’m going to make some fondant Peppa cake topper characters

Girliefriendlikescake · 15/06/2019 16:59

Thanks for nice comments ladies, seacow I've just followed advice on the fb group, it's taken a bit of getting my head round as you don't shampoo or brush your hair 😳

Some of the curls have dropped a bit now so not sure whether to stay curly ish or just straighten it for going out tonight 😬

Spent £37 in aldi, not too bad.

Have baked a cake for my friends bday , was going to take it to the restaurant for tonight but my other friend reckons the restaurant won't like it 😐🙄 normally restaurants don't mind you taking a bday cake do they?!

ChristmasSeacow · 15/06/2019 17:25

They usually allow it Girlie, after all, birthday cake is different to just pudding. I’d take it and if they say no (unlikely, even if they huff and puff a little) then your friend can take it home anyway.

I’m not sure about not shampooing ever. I only do it once a week and leave the conditioner in but I do feel It needs a proper wash from time to time. I’ll have a look though because it’s defo not looking great at the moment!

I have done the first two steps of the caramel
Shortbread. Really pleased the caramel seems to have worked without burning. Dh is scraping out the pan with a spoon like a 6-year old. Out of sight of the actual 6-year old, obviously Grin

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 15/06/2019 18:32

Lovely hair Girlie.

Spendy today
Morrison's £24, but all on clothes for dd2, got a dress, t-shirt and two lots of socks for that.
Clarks £18 on sandals for dd2.
Lidl £7.78 on bits I forgot.
Entertainer £15 on dd2s best friend for his birthday next week.
Card factory £10.56 on gifts for their dad for father's day and 2 gift bags.

Dd2 spent the last of her birthday money on a boxy girls doll, £17.99.
Had a nice day with dd, we went to the park first to get rid of some energy, she is always on the go!

Em, hope you are feeling better today x

Rightwayup · 15/06/2019 18:35

I am curly too. When my hair is wet it's quite long and then all just pings up as it dries. Flying back tomorrow so will then need to spend petrol Tesco haulage and dog sitter for a start but pay day a week on Friday. I know that is really 2 weeks but doesn't sound as bad. Girlie your hair looks great. Enjoy the cake 🍰🍰🍰

ememem84 · 15/06/2019 19:59

girlie hair looks lovely! I don’t know why but I pictured you as a blonde.

Re the cake it’d be worth checking with the restaurant. Here they charge “cakeage” they suggest £2/2.5 extra per person because they have to provide plates forks knife for cutting etc.

Lovely day. Dhs friend (also ds’ godfather) came over. Ds went nuts. Someone else to play with yaaaay!!!!!

Feeling better. Well a little bit. Have done a sinus rinse. Drunk loads of water and hot squash. And a cheeky glass of wine now ds is in bed!

CurlsandCurves · 15/06/2019 20:01

Another curly girl here too, best thing I ever did. Finally I know how to get curls not frizz. And finally I’m proud of my curls. I’ll never straighten my hair again.

Spendy day tomorrow, it’s DS2 birthday party at a roller rink. Pretty good deal though, £11 per head. We get a skating session, hot or cold meal, party bag, 2 vouchers for future sessions. So all we’ve had to sort out top of that is a birthday cake.

SnugglySnerd · 15/06/2019 20:24

More curls here!

Spendy day - top up shop, Father's Day presents and entry plus drinks and cakes at a summer fete although I use the word "summer" very loosely. There was torrential rain and we all got soaked!

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/06/2019 20:24

Lovely hair.
Spends today £15 scout fair. That's not counting the cost of the cakes I sent.

Wolfcubisthefemalenominal · 16/06/2019 10:13

Spendy evening out yesterday but sooo good. May get a takeaway tonight as I Weill be spending the day doing manual labour (any excuse))

Sea I tend to wear it straight these days as it’s a just below chin length bob but naturally it’s wild!

ememem84 · 16/06/2019 10:55

Was awake at 4 as I couldn’t breathe - thanks ds for the snotty snotty cold. 😭 Ds up at 6. Took him downstairs had breakfast etc then at 730 made dh breakfast and we took it up to him #goodwife

He was pretty chuffed with his gift too! Yay!

I’ve just hopped out of the shower. Dh and ds have gone to see fil and have left me to it for a bit. I need to sort things out for swimming later (I am not going poolside this week as it’s like a sauna in there so will watch from the corridor) and want to get some more laundry done.

Seeing ddad later. Yay.
