Spends
€6 sliced pan, toilet roll, quinoa corn cakes & pack of reduced chicken slices
€2 topping up a voucher to buy a pair of trainers

Tesco subbed my granary toaster pan with white yesterday & I wasn't home when delivery came to refuse it so I bought a granary pan today will make lovely chicken cheese coleslaw & tomato on granary sandwiches for tomorrow's lunch le yum

Went for a walk too, no phone, no company just enjoying nature

I miss loads of the old posters too saw someone with fly London shoes last week & thought of lonely, when I get a good bargain I think oh fluffy would be proud
Saw today if trump can run a country I can run a marathon & thought of jam/need and every time I see a camper van I wonder about Laska

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/06/2019 20:18

Yes fuel has steadily risen ,133.9 for diesel here now

ememem84 · 05/06/2019 20:26

Were watching episode 1 of Chernobyl. Man it’s intense.

Ds is not watching. He’s in bed.

Chatting to boss today about it he remembers when it happened. And is surprised I didn’t. But I was only 2.

SnugglySnerd · 05/06/2019 21:48

I'm missing everyone too. I hope everyone eventually drifts back.

ememem84 · 05/06/2019 22:02

Sigh. Eugh. Have just picked out the bath drain. It was running slow. So got a wire coat hanger unwrapped it And poked the desk.

I kid you not. Around 4ft of gross Drain hair popped out. 🤮🤢

Girliefriendlikescake · 05/06/2019 22:16

I've noticed something very annoying, I wanted to take £50 cash out at Sainsbury's on Monday, the machine only gave me £40 so I thought maybe I'd pressed the wrong button but no they've taken £50 out of my account 😡 can I do anything about that??! I'm really cross about it!!

Cagliostro · 05/06/2019 22:30

Oh no girlie would CCTV help?
Euwwwww em and I’m guessing most would be from before you moved in 🤮🤮🤮 for future reference I’ve heard that Veet/immac type stuff works if you shove it down the drain?! Never tried it.

Aww DD spontaneously thanked me for taking her out earlier ❤️ Definitely need to do these things (affordably/free) more often!

I think DD2 is cutting a tooth. Sigh.

Girliefriendlikescake · 05/06/2019 22:32

Maybe cag it def only gave me two £20 notes so might show that, I'm going into the bank to loan on Saturday!!

Girliefriendlikescake · 05/06/2019 22:32

Not loan moan 🤣🤣🤣

Cagliostro · 05/06/2019 22:45

Good!

Totally unrelated but I know there has been discussion of mooncups and such here before, just wanted to update that I am on month three of using mine and OMG I am absolutely loving it. I was so worried about it being a waste but I’ve got used to it surprisingly quickly and I keep forgetting I’m even wearing it which is amazing as I’d never feel like that with pads/tampons. Definitely a major frugal win! I got an Organicup at under £16 which is nothing compared to how much I’d spend on disposable stuff. I had thought I’d get some more cloth pads (I have six in various sizes as I got a starter pack) but I don’t think I’ll even need them.

Bornlazy · 05/06/2019 23:51

Girlie I would phone them tomorrow to let them know. The machine had probably run out of £10 notes and they should be able to trace it back. I’ve had it where I was withdrawing £200 and it didn’t give me any money but still deducted it from my balance. I got the money back in a day or so.

Wolfcubisthefemalenominal · 06/06/2019 05:40

Girlie I agree with Born the machine should have a good Audit trail and be able to show you didn’t get £50. I got an auto refund recently when I tried to withdraw £50 but it didn’t hand over the cash, the system knew and recredited my account

maddenlightfoot · 06/06/2019 08:10

£14 on two (yes, only two) drinks at a gig last night 😱

£42 on shopping due to arrive this afternoon. I need to make a pavlova for the weekend so we're having omelettes tonight with the spare egg yolks.

Cagliostro · 06/06/2019 08:44

Been reading a thread about matched betting... I am so tempted but so worried I’d mess up!

Happierwithouthim · 06/06/2019 08:50

cag that's a great update on organicup, if my periods ever return properly I'm going to get one.

Thatsnotmybaby · 06/06/2019 11:47

I'm sorry to hear your DH is still struggling so much @cag.
Have lunch and other food with me for today which is good. Need to get to Primark to do a return, will do that today or tomorrow. I also need to review my May budget to see how well I did with it.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 06/06/2019 18:12

Hi all.
Haven't been posting much as I'm trying to sort out my head and getting used to being on my own.
Anyhow, it has been a spendy week. DS1 was 18 on Monday, so we went for a meal, gave him some money and a few small presents.
Had to buy more food as I forgot what I had in the fridge and threw away food as it expired, so annoyed with myself!
Had to buy a new charger, mine just stopped working.

Hope you are all ok Smile

Cagliostro · 06/06/2019 18:55

Curvy I do that all the time with food. Trying to improve but I’m so disorganised! Hope you’re ok xx

Thank you thats he’s at least started the osteo meds so hopefully long term that will help. He’s got to have more frequent dentist apps though while on them as it can cause tooth and jawbone issues 😱

I’ve sorted out some more stuff to try selling.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 06/06/2019 19:12

Cag, I'm getting there. I think I need to sit down and make a list, write a plan, jot down all my emotions or something to get out of this rut!
Just read back and I'm so sorry about your DH, cag, sending hugs x

maddenlightfoot · 06/06/2019 20:26

Oof - £25 haircut and £10 school trip.

Lovely omelette, sauté potatoes (using leftover roasties that is frozen on sunday) and salad. Such a nice dinner and surely cheap as chips?

Meringue is now in the oven (must remember to turn it off at ten past nine 😂)

Cagliostro · 06/06/2019 21:36

Thanks :) writing lists and plans is a good, well, plan! It helps me when I’m stuck in an anxious loop. Actually did that today, was stressing like mad and so wrote some plans for household/home ed stuff that need organising. While in the beer garden at the local :o

Girliefriendlikescake · 06/06/2019 21:47

That's interesting re the organicup cag are your periods heavy? I'm still not sure if I'm brave enough!!

I've had a nice day, we have posh new floor in the hallway! Am very pleased with it and it looks really nice, will try and upload a pic.

Paid of the balance for the floor £100.

£1.95 on milk.

Wolfcubisthefemalenominal · 06/06/2019 22:02

Floor is gorgeous girlie

Spends on milk and a breakfast bap this morning and £3 for ds’s activity. Pilates tonight but that was already paid for

SnugglySnerd · 06/06/2019 22:05

That looks amazing Girlie.
Nsd.

ememem84 · 06/06/2019 22:06
