Nsd. Hooray!

I had grand plans for batch cooking this evening but I'm too tired.

I don't know if a pre-existing condition would be covered Cag. Agree mse might have an answer.

Cagliostro · 04/06/2019 20:24

Hmm interesting idea north if I can find someone specialising. Definitely want (if I’m paying anything as even a small amount will push us) someone with a lot of understanding of the issues someone with ASD/ADHD has (that’s the specific reason this one is recommended by current patients that I know through a local group).

I will look on MSE though. I wonder if it’s a grey area around autism as it’s not a medical condition or a disease or something (even if I am struggling like crazy because of it) 🤔 worth looking into it all.

Caglets got their dance show costumes today. Too cute. DS’ includes a bow tie and braces! 😍

Girliefriendlikescake · 04/06/2019 20:41

Busy day off, £4.20 on hospital parking, dds hearing has picked up a bit so that's good.

Spent £20 on a voucher for sil, £10 on gift for dnephew and £5 on gift for a friends dd. I picked up 36 nice bday cards in The Works for £4 which should last a while!!

Been over to give my nephew his bday gift tonight, there was cake 🎂 involved 😋

Tired now, early night tonight.

ememem84 · 04/06/2019 20:48

Hello. I’m trying to use my phone less. So have limited my screen time from 9am to 8pm. Day two and I’m doing ok.

Nsd. £47 back on my card today. Yippee.

Gym after work. Then veggie burgers for dinner.

Thanks for all the hair washing tips. Ds won’t tip his head back. Sigh. But we’ll work on it.

Taking the hoody back tomorrow. Couldn’t do it today as had gym bag to carry too.

Tired now. We’ve been awake since 5.05 this morning. Ds was singing again.

The benefit of this (if you can find one) is that we were in the car on way to work by 730/740.

Rough day today. I’ve had no choice but to start the performance process on my assistant. Who has consistently missed deadlines, doesn’t seem to be taking anything in and is just so slow. Eg last week I asked for something to be done so it was ready to go out yesterday lunchtime. By close today still not done. I chased up yesterday. And most of the day today. (I was off last week so stupidly trusted it would be done).

I’m concerned because he keeps saying he’ll be absolutely capable to cover for me while I’m on leave.

CurlsandCurves · 04/06/2019 21:14

Ememem sorry to hear about work, sounds like extra stress you really do not need.

Got DS2 all sorted with birthday presents. Aside from the iPhone and the puppy (🙄😆) he’s got everything else he’s asked for. I’ve spent about £70 , my folks have got him the rest. Only thing outstanding is he wants some Adidas predators, but DH can buy them..

maddenlightfoot · 04/06/2019 21:52

I'm watching EWFL on catch up (think it's current series - lovely family from Bridgend?) - really helpful recipes for time-poor. Going to try the veggie byriani and why do I always forget pasta bake?!

Ooh NSD 🙌🙌

ememem84 · 04/06/2019 21:55

curls nope. Not needed. But realistically I have 6 weeks left at work. And after I leave realistically it’s not my problem.

Cagliostro · 04/06/2019 22:08

Oooh thanks madden DD was asking recently if there’s any new episodes! I think she enjoys the righteous indignation 😂

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/06/2019 07:11

Oh that's tough em. Prince performance managing people is hard. Make sure you have someone to support you.
Nsd planned today. (Aren't they all!)
That's a good idea North re finding a student.

ememem84 · 05/06/2019 07:57

Boss is supportive. I mentioned it to him yesterday.

Ds was awake at 7!!! Hoorah!!!

Off to work now. Have a sandwich to take with me so £5 in my savings.

Will get a refund on my hoody today. Dh has given me one of his. Yay.

Happierwithouthim · 05/06/2019 08:49

em great that you're able to detach like that, as in once you're on leave it's not your problem, pity that it's happening now though when you don't need this kind of hassle.

So H transferred his weekly amount €250( 62.5% that he chose to reduce it to when he moved out) yesterday & by last night wanted to borrow €50, after checking that we'd have enough in the account to cover direct debits I agreed to this. So little to no chance of ever seeing a contribution from him towards Christmas 2018 and dd's FHC if he's managing his money as badly as this

DD is on her school tour tomorrow, I finish work at 3, trying to think of something nice to do with ds while she's missing.

Cagliostro · 05/06/2019 13:07

Therapist emailed back and is happy to do sessions once a month, I’d just need a couple close together to begin with for assessment etc. I was brave and told my mum how much I’m struggling, she is going to pay for the first two sessions ❤️

She also asked what she could do to help next time she’s here, I said watch the three kids so DH and I can go and have lunch together at the local. We haven’t done that or had any time just us since cagletini arrived as nobody to babysit.

Cagliostro · 05/06/2019 13:13

That’s really frustrating about H happier 😡

And the assistant person em not cool to be fucking about with deadlines

Happierwithouthim · 05/06/2019 14:13

cag that's fantastic of your mum although I'm sure the babysitting will be appreciated even more than the money towards your therapy sessions.

I'm gone beyond caring about what H does now, once house sells I'll get things on a more legal footing.

He had the check to text me to ask the name of a tv series we used to watch after that last night, presumably to watch with his new woman Grin He just doesn't engage his brain at all it seems Grin

Cagliostro · 05/06/2019 15:15

Not the most tactful is he :o Hmm

Yes the babysitting will be much appreciated! My parents aren’t exactly on the ball with watching toddlers so DD1 knows she will be in charge Blush but just the chance to go and be just a couple will be nice even if we are too zombified to chat much!

Just had a nice time with DD, we went for dessert just us two. Having also taken DS to the cinema alone last week I’m realising how much we’ve missed doing one on one stuff like that.

SnugglySnerd · 05/06/2019 16:11

Another nsd. This is the best run I've had for a while!

Wolfcubisthefemalenominal · 05/06/2019 16:21

Not a NSD as away with work but most reclaimable

Where are

@christmasseacow
@unescorted
@lonelyoversharer
@lovemalteasers

You are all missed as are Quite,Fluffy and co

Cagliostro · 05/06/2019 16:31

I messaged seacow recently she is just crazy busy with work 😭

Lonely never replied 😰

Lovemaltesers · 05/06/2019 16:45

I’m lurking, just not getting round to posting. Still keeping up with everyone’s news though

Awww at being missed though BlushGrin

Being quite frugal but tomorrow I need to go shopping for DP’s big birthday so that might end!

Lovemaltesers · 05/06/2019 16:56

I can’t remember who posted about their standing order which was due on a certain date falling on a weekend... my new First Direct account just did this. Due on 1st, paid on 3rd instead. Very annoying!

maddenlightfoot · 05/06/2019 18:12

Some really positive vibes your way today cag 😊 - you deserve it!
Interesting to hear you talk about separate time with DCs - we have three DCs (including twins) and are very conscious of making sure we make time for this as they grow up.

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/06/2019 18:33

Nsd. Woo woo. Ah great of you're mam CAG

Girliefriendlikescake · 05/06/2019 18:40

I'm missing Seacow and the Fluffster as well Sad hopefully they will come by and wave soon.

I've had quite a nice day, am enjoying the new job so far....

Got petrol today £37, have petrol prices gone up again??

Dd has started selling some of her friendship bracelets at school for £1, she has made £2 so far Grin

WreckTangled · 05/06/2019 19:04

I miss them too. Miss lonely felt like we would be proper friends irl Grin

Nsd today but I'm going to try and book the car hire tonight. It'll go on dh's credit card though.

Girlie fuel has gone up. Our nearest is £1.38.9 for diesel.

ememem84 · 05/06/2019 19:16

happier just have to do the best I can before I leave and then it’s up to them.

I’ve started a handover email with all the “reoccurring” things. Assistant has done all these things before but needs constant reminding. And I haven’t got time to keep reminding.

cag no not cool!! It’s getting to the point that sooner or later a deadline will be missed and have consequences.

£5 in shop today on sweeties/chocolate for work.

Cheese sandwich for lunch. Home made. 😀

Home now watching popopa (postman pat) with ds.

We now have sugar snap peas, courgettes and strawberries growing in our garden!! Yay!
