Lookin’ good sneaks :o

Just did a Tesco order for the next few days. I’m so glad we have switched back to the anytime delivery saver now, we can do two small shops a week instead of one big plus top ups that end up expensive.

I have ordered some cabbage to shove in my bra too. :o Started second ABs last night

WreckTangled · 24/02/2019 11:02

I stripped the DC's beds and put it all in the wash before I went spinning. Dh has put a second load on.

First ever loaf of bread is proving. Wish me luck! I just got out of the shower and am lying on the bed not wanting to move...really don't want to go back to work tomorrow especially as on my last day before half term I made a big mistake and someone complained about me Blush my manager was lovely but I'm so annoyed with myself!

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 24/02/2019 11:36

Good luck with the bread making wreck
and I'm sure work will be fine Flowers

Girliefriendlikescake · 24/02/2019 12:53

Beautiful day here as well, we were good and got out to the junior parkrun this morning, I made it round without stopping so was pleased with that! Dd did it in 12 mins.

Had a catch up at mums and popped to pets at home on the way back, spent £20 on cat biscuits as they were on offer (saved £7) got enough to last ages now as well.

Chilling out for a bit now and will do some gardening later, need to start planning what I want to grow. I think it's still a bit early to sow seeds etc but can start getting the ground ready.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 24/02/2019 13:08

Hi all.

Just wanted you all to know that I'm going to tell my partner that he needs to leave the family home soon, like within the next few weeks.
So from now on I will refer to him as p.
I have a thread in relationships, you don't have to read it and I will not derail this thread with it.

Be good with some Lurpak, that.

WreckTangled · 24/02/2019 14:01

Exactly what I'm eating it with right now! Well, the Aldi version of lurpak...

SneakyGremlins · 24/02/2019 14:04

Norpak? Grin

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 24/02/2019 14:09

cag yep. That’s the way I’m looking at it.

curvy stay strong. You got this. One day at a time. Xx

wreck looks amazing.

We’ve had a nice day so far. Dsis popped up for a visit (and to sit in our garden). Dparents came to say hello after their hotel stay last night (we got it as a thank you for all their help with ds). So ds has seen everyone today. We did some more gardening, and I was able to get on with things (laundry folded and away, bedding changed, etc) as someone could watch ds while he played out the front garden while dh was gardening.

We’ve just been down to the beach. Ds in his new wellies. He was reluctant to splash in the puddles in them. Then sat down in one and carried on splashing. Dh hadn’t literally dismissed my idea of popping him in his waterproof trousers minutes before we left the house. Oh well.

He’s having a nap now and I’m having a lie down with catface.

Glorious day here. 16 degrees. There we’re peoole surfing down the beach - wetsuits on, but kids swimming in the big puddle near the slipway. Crazy!!!

WreckTangled · 24/02/2019 14:57

Yes norpak!

Em it's 16 degrees here too. I feel the cold though so am definitely not basking in it like some Grin

I'm pleased I made the bread as I know I can do it now but I don't think it's cheaper than an Aldi best of both loaf. I'll be ok when there's no bread on the shelves at the next snowfall though and after brexit

Girliefriendlikescake · 24/02/2019 15:15

I want to make bread 🍞 now wreck 😀

curvy you def got this 👊🏻

I've just sent dd to the shop for milk and chocolate £2

SnugglySnerd · 24/02/2019 15:34

I've just gone through the seed box to see what we've got. Mostly salady stuff which is good because it's expensive to buy and goes off quickly.

Hope you are OK curvy. Lots of support from us all here

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 24/02/2019 15:57

Thank you em, Girlie and Snuggly.

Yes I'm ok, I feel better and I know it is the right thing to do. You are all such a lovely lot Flowers

WreckTangled · 24/02/2019 16:45

Lasagne for dinner. Made my white sauce too runny 🤦🏽‍♀️ it'll do though.

SneakyGremlins · 24/02/2019 16:57

I'm out of pork and egg roll Sad

Flowers Curvy

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 24/02/2019 17:41

I remember having pork and egg roll as a treat as a kid. Don't eat it now as I'm vegan, but god it was good!

Thanks Sneaky

Home from our day out and enjoying a cuppa and a rice krispie square from the Avoca shop.

We had a good day today. We walked around the Gaol. There's not a lot to see - just cells basically - but they've lots of boards up with historical information and information about some of the prisoners who were held there. A bit grim to read about children being imprisoned for stealing food Sad. There weren't a lot of cafes or restaurants in Wicklow town but eventually we found a large lounge/restaurant with a really good menu. I had a coke, chips and a chicken burger with tomato relish. It was really good. The weather wasn't great so we didn't go ahead with our walk. It was mild but quite misty. We got a very good group rate for the Gaol so we split that between the adults and it worked out at €4 each. It should have been €9.50 per adult. DH paid the food bill so I didn't see the receipt but iirc it was about €15 each for the mains and probably a few € for the soft drinks. We stopped off at the Avoca shop because DH was getting sleepy and needed a little nap. DD and I had a nice browse in the homeware section and garden centre. Avoca is a very expensive shop so although I was tempted by lots of nice things, I just bought the rice krispie squares (for €8 Blush). We did a quick stop at Tesco on the way back and got a top up shop for approx. €17. Girlie I was thinking of you when I was looking around the garden centre. I'm sure you'd have loved all the rose bushes and plants.

WreckTangled · 24/02/2019 18:56

I hope you all have sweet peas on your list of things to grow. They're my favourite, maybe I should try and grow my own...

Tayto sounds like a good day, hope the rice crispy square was good!

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/02/2019 19:01
