Hello everyone. You all sound very prepared for Christmas. I've been struggling to get to payday (Friday) but even so, I have only 3 gifts, an advent calendar with vegan choc and a few stocking fillers so far. Must think of what else to buy. Most people I'm buying for have all they really need, so maybe things that'll get used up is the way forward!

We had a really nice wedding weekend, but quite expensive. £15 taxi to train station, £7 for train, £55 on (cheap!) hotel, £28 for brunch the next day and £6 for bus for dh and me to get home again.

Yesterday was £5 on nice coffees and £8.30 lunch in canteen for me and my work friend (it was her birthday) plus £5 on a light-up plastic wand for poorly ds who was sick the night before (I know, I know!).

Today I was at home with him (dh did so yesterday), so nsd and I even managed to tidy a bit and roast the last pumpkin to make pumpkin bread later in the week, once the banana bread runs out.

I don't think I can cancel the order life would have to wait for it to come and send back which is a pita. My fault for not reading the posts properly but thank you so much for thinking of me 😘

Dd has been in a foul mood again tonight, lots of back chat and eye rolling, ugh she isn't even 13 yet!! She did at least apologise before bed, tells me it's because she is tired 😕 I pointed out that going to bed earlier would be sensible but apparently that isn't the solution 😒

Plenty spends today. As I’m off dairy until my cold improves I had to buy drinks at work (my normal sachets for city days have milk powder). Also bought some crisps and fruit for lunch. Not reclaimable.
Dinner (sandwich) at the station and parking to be reclaimed tomorrow.
I survived the day but it was rough and I’m feeling rubbish again now. This cold can officially do one, my eyes are really sore and swollen too so I sympathise Sea as I looked a right sight today!

I've had a good few days. I have got this little bit of voluntary work where I have nice company and my computer skills are properly stretched (which takes some doing). It's nice to be appreciated again for the things that I'm really good at. £0 Yay!

That health record that Cag suggested has been really good too. I've been feeling relatively brand new for about a fortnight now, which is great, and just for making a few small tweaks. Fingers crossed that continues.

My gammy eye would literally scare small children Wolf. But at least I am not otherwise ill. Colds are the pits, hope you feel better soon.

Welcome Fizzy.

I really wanted to be done with Christmas shopping by the end of November but... not yet. I haven’t got loads to get but still a few bits for my family and no ideas for most of DH’s. As usual.

Work tomorrow, should’ve had an earlier night 🙄

Christmas and Wolf hope you both feel better soon.
Quite a productive study day today. Minimal spends.
Meal vouchers for the place I complained about have arrived. 4x main course, dessert & hot drink, valid for a year.

I have the cold! So have taken the day off and will check in with work sporadically.

I’ve been feeling ropey since Monday. And yesterday my nose felt blocked up. Overnight it got worse. This morning my eyes have puffed. And I’m full of snot. Ick. So staying in bed. Ds has kept me company while dh showered. He took all the laundry from the basket (where it was waiting to be washed) and brought it to me. Then took it back. So helpful.

So nsd for me today.

I'm a bit shambolic health-wise today too, but my graph correctly predicts this so I'm reasonably cheerful about it. Predictability is good.

The Horn Section are performing in the hall. They sounds like cartoon elephants.

Hi, found you again.

Finally broke the back of Christmas shopping, all paid for, money transferred from savings to cover it. Feels really good to be organised. And it looks like I’m ending the month in credit with some funds to transfer over to savings, woohoo!

DS1 is finally back at school, having been off with a nasty cough, cold, sore throat etc. It’s one bug after another with him! So I’ve got him a multivitamin and a vitamin c with zinc supplement to help boost his immune system.

Today is the day I’ve decided to educate myself in the mysterious art of the Instant Pot. Here we go.....

Woke up to no electric as the meter had run out! Sad had to dash to McColl's in PJs!

Sneaky once you have kids you may learn the delicate art of sleeping in your day clothes, and then it's much more dignified to dash to the shop without changing in the morning.

In case anybody's wondering, I didn't say that.

Not. At. All.

curse those years of night feeds

ememem84 · 28/11/2018 10:09

Ah I’ve done the dash to the shop in pjs before. Never slept in my day clothes though (except in my younger party girl days when I couldn’t be arsed to get my drunk self into my pjs).

I think it's one of the special ninja skills required to get through baby sleep apnoea. Pjs were just too chilly for doing the night shift through four winters.

I did! Off to Iceland for treats! Thought I'd save the middle aisle money and get a haircut instead.

Happier I made a spicy red pepper and lentil soup. Usuallly have it bubbling away for a good 45 mins on the hob, this did it in 4! Well, about 5-10 mins for it to get up to pressure, then 4 mins cooking. Once it’s coked, it takes itself straight to the keep warm function, so was all ready for lunch! I think I love it....

I have woke up on top of the bed, fully clothed (including jacket) clutching my handbag before 🤭 I must have just sat down to take my shoes off and collapsed into a drunken stupor...

Autumn I didn’t know your ds had sleep apnoea when he was younger. That must have been terrifying. Is he ok now?

Nsd today. Need to get back on the surveys and try and do a couple every night.
