Good stuff! Smile

moimichme · 06/12/2018 17:14

ChristmasSeacow I'm sorry to hear that you weren't able to set up your business bank account again. Some years ago, I did some freelance work as a sole trader (iirc) and perhaps the rules are different now, but I was with Santander and the process was very easy. Do you need to use that specific bank?

Spent £60 this week so far, but about half of that is for Christmas. Likely to be another £45 or so on gifts later and £20 ish for food and coffee shop from Morrison's.

Was also going to ask you all something but have forgotten what...!

AutumnLeaves12 · 06/12/2018 17:30

I wrapped all my Christmas presents today. I didn't completely like the wrapping paper but I decided to save myself a huge trek and just use what I had. £0

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 06/12/2018 17:42

I've got £18 due on the Argos Card tomorrow but can't pay it til next Wednesday. Worth giving them a ring? Or just put up with the interest?

AutumnLeaves12 · 06/12/2018 17:46

How much have you got on the card in total?

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 06/12/2018 17:52

There's £37.49 on it and I've just paid £20 but it won't clear til tomorrow/the day after.

I had the 17th in my head for the payment date. Argh, I'm stupid.

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/12/2018 17:53

I’d ring them Sneaky.

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/12/2018 18:06

I’ve done that, ring and explain.

Quiteisnotinthedanceoff · 06/12/2018 18:27

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 06/12/2018 18:42

Righto, have been told let the payment happen, then ring up when I get charged the late fee and they usually remove it for a first time offence which this will be.

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/12/2018 18:43

£5 in nectar points earned.

I’m feeling left out now, I haven’t pm Sneaky.

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 06/12/2018 18:45

Quiteisnotinthedanceoff · 06/12/2018 18:53

Fairly tired but super wierd- there was no traffic tonight .
Empty shops and no traffic at 5pm.
Where is everyone ?
There was a parcel.
I got all excited until I opened it and it was cat litter tray liners 😂
Boo!
em how is DS and his notchickenpox ?
Hope hes chirpy and you get a reasonable night .

Unescorted · 06/12/2018 19:04

Evening all.

Em I will be with you tomorrow... It is Work Christmas Dinner tomorrow. The only way to get through it is by drinking until the pain ends.
Sea I may have a little dust in my eyes too.
Jam best wishes to your DD for next week ( best to say now in case my works crimbo thing is worse than anticipated)
Sneaky can you get your meter changed... Pre pay is always extortionate compared to dd.
Wolf we have lots of jobs going...... V flexible working conditions... WFH, PT, condensed, flex combination of all of the above. We even got an extra day holiday. We are lovely most of the time (just a bit fraught in March).

Unescorted · 06/12/2018 19:11

I forgot to say.... We have got to the end of the month with all Cc paid in full and spare money in the bank. I am in shock. It is thanks to you guys keeping us on the straight and narrow. DS and Dh will be able do their mad summer caper and DD will be able to do her summer school at Slade. I am one happy wage slave.

I’m tempted Unescorted. My old boss works in a job that’s a partnership between your lot and ours.

Em hope ds is a bit brighter and the hangover is easing

Sneaky definitely ring up after and challenge, I’ve had some success with this when charges have been increased without notice rather than late payments but they seem to be quite helpful about it.

Girlie and Happier and Cag I hope you are all feeling better this morning

£3 someting on a dirty McDonald’s breakfast
£12 Tesco which includes wine for after ds gets home. It has been a really hard week at work

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 06/12/2018 19:21

Have got £3 for the electric and £1 on a rockstar.

Unescorted · 06/12/2018 19:26

wolf....... Wolf.....wolf... Come too look like uuuuuuussssssss.

ememem84 · 06/12/2018 20:27

I had another glass of wine. Am currently listening to music with a glass of red. Dh is out at his works do. Ds is asleep.

On way to the car I stopped in my clients new shop. She gave me a candle. A citrus and cinnamon one as a thank you for my help setting up (I did all the paperwork and took delivery of all her stock at my desk...). She suggested I buy a fur. I tried on a electric blue fur bomber. It was ridiculously soft. I looked like Cookie Monster in it. And well. Can’t afford it even with her generous 35% off. Retail price....£450. Plus real fur. Fox fur. I felt a bit funny about that.

Dinner with dparents. Midweek roast. Yum.

Also ds’ presents to my sis and mil arrived today. Check out Gemma eve textile artist on Instagram. I bought a couple of handpainted baubles. One with ds’ face on and one of something special for dsis.

Enjoying a 90’s music moment. Cranberries. Zoooooooommmmmbooieeeeeeee. Eeeeee eeeeeee

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/12/2018 20:31

That’s awful. They skin them alive & it takes hours for them to die of fluid loss.

It’s like the 90’s never happened.

ememem84 · 06/12/2018 20:37

I know. I didn’t realise it was all real at first. of how soft fox fur could be

Absolutely barbaric.
