Cheers fluffy, I'm ready to start gathering the Christmas booze.

Hope you enjoyed the mini break That's.

Weird day for me, and not frugal related.

One of my chickens died, poor old soul. So that's sad.

But DD got an unconditional offer from one of her university choices, so that's happy.

That's great re your DS north, he loves his sport doesn't he? DN got his football refereeing qualification a good few years ago now and it served him well while a student as he could earn some money from it too.

What a lovely song for your DD to sing too.

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/10/2018 16:45

The Malibus £9 if you buy it in sains. We all pretend we’re sophisicates who drink classy drinks but few turn down Malibu & coke.

It’s on click snap too.

Justanothermile · 18/10/2018 16:46

It was actually the Malibu I was thinking about, no one turns down a Malibu and coke do they?

ChristmasSeacow · 18/10/2018 16:57

Oh no Cag, it does sound like HFM. Dd has a lot of spots under her nappy - they were some of the worst actually. That’s what threw me as I didn’t know they could be there. My dd was quite unwell for a couple of days before the spots came out - high temperature etc - and was then not too bad until her thumb got infected, then she was a bit sad and grumpy. I think her throat was very sore too. I was glad when it passed, that’s for sure... but lucky if your dd isn’t feeling the effects too badly.

Great news on the uni place Jam

Had shed loads of work to do today but spent half the morning buying business indemnity insurance, which turned into a palaver. Almost £400 for the year. I hope I manage to achieve a reasonable turnover after all this work and cost! Not to mention childcare...

Not an NSD as I bought two ninky nonks 🙄 £40. Christmas gifts for the dcs. I was going to get them one to share but that’s just not going to work. Also £14 on little presents to augment my sisters’ Birthday presents. And about £7 in cafes, hogging tables. This isn’t frugal but I can’t really work at home while Mum and dd are there and dd is so clingy. Hopefully she’ll calm down as she gets used to me going to work. I saved more than that by not taking the tube into the office today though, so swings and roundabouts!

ChristmasSeacow · 18/10/2018 16:57

I’d turn down Malibu and coke! Don’t like sweet drinks. Gin all the way...

Justanothermile · 18/10/2018 16:59

She’s going to have a crack at your old institution seacow, tough ask but harder to get into if you don’t apply in the first place.😂

thistimenextsummer · 18/10/2018 17:03

🤢 Malibu was the first drink I got drunk (and sick) from. Even the thought of it turns my stomach

WreckTangled · 18/10/2018 17:03

Sorry guys I don't like Malibu. What else can you offer?

Wolfcub · 18/10/2018 17:09

No malibu here either. Sickly

Justanothermile · 18/10/2018 17:10

Most things in this house wreckGrin

That was Southern Comfort for me this. EnvyFootballEnvy

Justanothermile · 18/10/2018 17:10

Oops random emojis..

SenescentLeaves · 18/10/2018 17:26

One glass of white wine is the furthest I've ever gone, and I passed out. #classy.

Cagliostro · 18/10/2018 17:29

Oh I could murder a Malibu and coke right now. It’s one of the only alcoholic things I like.

Love the random football emoji in there jam but very sorry about your lovely chicken :(

Well done summer that’s good to hear :) hope eBay dude pays soon

Cagletini getting grumpier. Friends just left (they knew about possible HFM but happy to take the risk, the kids are older and they were all together yesterday anyway) and I have bolognese defrosting. I bought garlic bread while I unfrugally went to M&S food (after collecting the puddlesuit). Normally we would be eating at the pub while the kids did their clubs but we will keep ourselves to ourselves the next few days. Not entirely sure if it is HFM, you know when you read about something you’re on the look out? So I could be reading too much into it. But it was DH who mentioned it first actually and there is definitely a blister on her tongue 😞. If she gets worse I’ll show a pharmacist but the info said what to do at home so will see how she goes.

WreckTangled · 18/10/2018 17:41

Cag it does sound like it. Poor dd.

I like amaretto and coke (diet, natch), g&t, white wine (dry), corona, bud, cocktails I'm not too fussy! Ooo and southern comfort and lemonade.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 18/10/2018 17:59

Bicardi and coke girl me, God I used to get drunk on them! I quite like a tia Maria and coke at Christmas 😁

It does sound like hfm cag my friends do has just had it done must be doing the rounds, her dad was fine but ended up on antibiotics as the spots on her face got infected.

Your poor ds em I would say being a working mum with sick kids is the worst part of working. So hard and you feel guilty no matter what you do, hopefully he is over the worse now.

Work was busy today, tired now. Have managed a nsd though.

SenescentLeaves · 18/10/2018 17:59

I'm on to the resolution centre now with the ebay thing. Shame, it was nice to have had it sell first time. I'm interested to see what happens.

WreckTangled · 18/10/2018 18:01

Em I hope ds feels better soon it's rubbish when they're ill (I did used to enjoy the extra cuddles though!)

Justanothermile · 18/10/2018 18:06

Oh now you're talking girlie, Bacardi and cokeGrin

Poor wee Caglet x

Justanothermile · 18/10/2018 18:06

Although I like an Amaretto and coke too. Fuck me, I've got issues.Grin

SenescentLeaves · 18/10/2018 18:10

LOL!

ememem84 · 18/10/2018 19:30

Oooh Ammeretto and Coke. Yum.

Also yuk Malibu. Similar to jam it was something I got drunk and sick on. So-co and lemonade (see how cool I am?!) too. And black sambuca. Eugh. And tequila.

Gin is my spirit of choice now. But when I was s student it was vodka all the way.

Ds is better I think. Or better ish. I have mouth ulcers. And sore throat and ears. Thanks ds.

SnugglySnerd · 18/10/2018 20:02

Quick hello.

Hope Caglet is ok, poor love.

£2 today on a cup of tea at National Trust place. I took my flask but had drank it all earlier on and needed caffeine!

EWFL time!

LonelyOversharer · 18/10/2018 20:07

Gosh, I'm just the right age for a malibu and pineapple Blush I even used to embarris myself ordering it! Then Hooch came on the market and it was all fine! Cannot drink gin after a vomity incident. And Drambuie still makes my stomach heave, even though I love it (found asleep curled around my toilet when I was due at work one christmas).

I tend to let buyers go about 4 days before I chase payment on ebay. Most pay straight away though.

Dp sold a smart turbo mine today. So the dishwasher is ordered. £330, £6.60 cashback tracked. Coming on tuesday. He paid £200, my paypal the rest. Thankyou old bike shiz.

I hope these poorly babies rally soon. Dd2 (12) is very wheezy, I'm on hyper watch as her asthma is viral trigger. But two of them have awful hacky coughs.

Spends...£19 postage, £18 maccyd's, £26 fuel, £14 asda.

MeadowHay · 18/10/2018 20:13

Spent about £8 today in the little supermarket nearby, on nappies and milk.

Today was A Good Day. I mean, she cried for an hour solid in the morning and I cried then too but eventually she tired herself out and went to sleep. But that's as bad as it has got so far today and we went to the baby group at the Children's Centre and it's the first time she was awake for the whole session and actually showed interest in the songs at the end and laid on her back for awhile looking at stuff instead of crying as soon as I laid her down. So that feels like a win!

Just Sorry to hear about your poor little chicken Flowers. But congrats to DD.

Also, I love Malibu but haven't drank it for at least 2 years!! I thought I'd be gagging for a drink after pregnancy but I've had two Bacardi and lemonades and one small glass of wine, all on separate occasions at home with DH since she was born, and am not that interested really. Never was a huge drinker like but still. Probably have a few drinks around the Xmas/New Year period though Grin.

Oh God, my DB mentioned HFM to me a few weeks ago saying there's been a big outbreak in our city but I forgot about it. Now I'm panicking!! Especially as she was putting one of the toys in her mouth at baby group today but I didn't want to be one a neurotic mum and stop her when I know that's how they learn and also build their immune systems. Eek. Hope all DC are ok! And Em's DS too.

We are getting another guinea pig, finally! After months of looking locally we have given up, and the rescue that we got ours from in the Midlands has some females currently, so one of them is being brought to us on Sunday morning! Shock

QuiteFabULousDahling · 18/10/2018 20:20
