Wreck at least you got it in the first week when there’s a reasonable chance it’s less germy Bear
Jam I will be making that tomorrow!

WreckTangled · 07/09/2018 16:30

That's true wolf! But it means ds' entry will be the first in the diary Blush

ememem84 · 07/09/2018 17:26

Hello.

Gorgeous lunch! Falafel burger brioche bun and a glass of wine with colleague/boss/workfriend. She’s a director so technically boss but also colleague and work friend.

It’s burger month here. Yippee.

Dh and I are out for dinner this evening but using gift vouchers. So freeeee. Yay.

I’m having a g&t while I wait for him. He won’t be here until 6. I’ve been sat in the bar since 5.15. It’s lovely. Quiet. As it’s a sunny day. Most people are crammed outside the bars with outsides.

This one only has an inside. Wink

We’ve had the inventory for the new house. They’re taking the washing machine dryer fridge and chest freezer. So we’ll have to buy. That’s a bit of a bugger.

ememem84 · 07/09/2018 17:26

Beaut bar interior.

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/09/2018 17:35

Bit of a bugger but you get to choose new energy efficient appliances & you wont have to clean someone else's grime.

The washing machine in our last rental was minging, she was surprised I didn't want it.

ememem84 · 07/09/2018 17:42

That is true.

We left our old ones in the apartment. I cleaned the machine Smile

Dh is after meile ones. So that’s a maybe if they’re energy efficient. Dm has them and hasn’t had any issues with them for the last 9 years. In the 8 years we lived In Our apartment we had 3 washing machines.

So probably spent the equivalent on a meile anyway....will look to order once we’re closer to knowing the exact date for moving. Or even after it’s ours. Depends on how long it’ll take to deliver. Sometimes it’s a week. Sometimes 3-4.

Waiting for the white co to have their sale. I’m after new bedding...

Annoyingly I’ve just realised I’ve lost my lipstick. Bah. I just started wearing it too....

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/09/2018 17:48

That's what dh's cousin did, got through loads of wm then bought a miele. They've still got it, it took three men to move it. Built like a tank.

I have baked blueberry muffins in the halogen oven, they cooked just as well and it costs much less to run.

Pitta breads are up next.

WreckTangled · 07/09/2018 18:08

Our washing machine was ten years old last month. Wish the bastard would die so I can get a shiny new energy efficient one.

Justanothermile · 07/09/2018 18:32

DS and dd are quite sensible with money. Honestly, someone said on another thread that we've bred generation sensible and it's certainly true here. I was something of a nightmare at their age.

DS and his mates went to the local pubs quiz night last night, DS had one pint, as did his mates, apart from one who had tap water. They were delighted as they won bingoConfusedGrin

That said, he's doing Maths, he's inherently sensible with numbers.

We have Miele, Bosch and Neff here, it was all part of the spec with the house. All fab.

QuitelovesStrictly · 07/09/2018 18:50

So tired but its the weekend!
Aaah love Friday feeling .

Sainsburys called me -I was indeed entitled to £25 of Nectar points for my pet insurance , offer started on 28th and is still running . They were very nice and apologised.
So waiting for combined total of £55 points to arrive Smile
Very very good day at work Grin cant say much else due to lurkers Wink
Have skimmed through -Fluffy I think thats why our bills were so high previously as well as DH leaving the hot water on Hmm
But 50-60c is not hot enough for me -our last holiday cottage had it turned down and it was miserable so I found the manual controls I want burny level hot water to immerse my pain addled old body in Grin
Good idea to turn down if you have young uns though-prevents accidents.

Another NSD for me ,DH is getting twitchy as the fridge is looking bare Grin
Probably Aldi/Lidl tomorrow.
Have a nice time em #Jel

Wolfcub · 07/09/2018 19:36

Em that looks like a very nice bar

Lovemaltesers · 07/09/2018 19:36

So glad it is Friday! Did my first proper four day week, so still adjusting to routines. How many weeks is it until half term?!

NSD. Going to work is frugal, especially when you don't go out to the shops at lunchtime.

Happy weekend everyone 🎉

QuitelovesStrictly · 07/09/2018 19:51

Absolutely Love
I dont think Ive spent anything this week ?
Cant be bothered to go back and check ...
I have tea/coffee at work -coffee was free on Shopmium 😎
My fall back if I dont have leftovers is cheese and pickle on nice granary plus I will make soup when it gets cold.
Fruit for snacks so I dont get tempted to spend .

WreckTangled · 07/09/2018 19:59

Love six weeks here. Six loooooong weeks.

Wolfcub · 07/09/2018 20:04

Love it’s eight weeks here Confused

SnugglySnerd · 07/09/2018 20:18

Sorry I'm not keeping up very well. It has been a long, busy and tiring week back at work/school/nursery. DH and I have just opened a bottle of wine and... ds woke up! Dh is dealing with him but it doesn't bode well for tonight.

Plus side of being at work is that I've hardly spent any money. Will try and catch up with all the frugal news over the weekend.

Lovemaltesers · 07/09/2018 20:19

6 weeks here

LonelyOversharer · 07/09/2018 20:27

For forks sake. Jyst trying to make my mahoosive asda online order (last one lasted 3.5 weeks, so super happy with that). Except my asda cashback card won't authorise, and the unblocker office is shut, and my bank has flagged the payment as suspect and has sent me a flood of texts. I just want to order my shopping!

Dp's car will mot at circa £500. For a car parked in the garden (literally in) for 3 years, thats not bad I think. And a lot cheaper than fixing the chrysler at the moment. Insurance is £5/month cheaper.

Spends...£100 garage (and every week until the end of time it seems Hmm)
Post office £2.95. Bloody sodding macdonalds £25.
And my online shop will be £200. But thats another 4 weeks dry goods, dairy (except milk) and sausages and bacon. Plus 2 sacks of dog kibble as it's on really cheap at the mo. Thats if the bank will authorise it.

I love it that you still make my flapjack!

So, honesty. I culled the wool warehouse to £50 and checked out last night. Thats my ebay money, I made £200 last weekend, so this is "my cut" of it. The rest will go on christmas presents for the kids. Two balls I will make christmas things with, the rest are for nativity sets/stuff I loved. I put 3 beautiful yarn cakes back, as I didn't have something in mind for them.

There is one here but its the furthest away.

Wrongwayup · 07/09/2018 20:58
  1. Drinks and picnic stuff for weekend away walking. So 559 left. Girlie trying your salmon receipe for dinner.
SnugglySnerd · 07/09/2018 21:22

Just catching up with SWFL. I like the idea of a prepaid cards for budgeting for non-essentials like days out etc. Are they widely accepted does anybody know?

Cagliostro · 07/09/2018 21:27

Ooh snuggly you’ve just remembered I need to look into the BT offer we got. The one we chose had a prepaid MasterCard thingy but not heard anything about it, I assume it’s after a qualifying period or something.

Only spent train fare today. NotBackToSchool picnic :o got picnic stuff from Tesco delivery yesterday. Oh no actually 40p on a lovely book of bible stories which we need for RE.

Oooh and now £50 booking Winchester science centre. Friend mentioned today you get discount booking online. Hooray!

I recommended numicon to another mum today, maybe I should charge commission.

LonelyOversharer · 07/09/2018 21:52

quite it's a credit card Blush but gives 1% cashback at adsa (about .25 everywhere else). So £2 an order. But I then pay off my spend in full. For some reason it isn't getting through the online clicksafe thing. Just paid via my bank account in the end. So shopping arriving tomorrow. It pays out in a voucher I buy a turkey with at christmas. £29 so far, not enough for said turkey yet!

Solicitor has my motgage offer, so waiting to see what happens next...

Been knitting all evening, missing Joseph, a king and an angel (and animals, but I always mske them seperately?) for a nativity set. Then I'll make the fun bits, crowns, shawls, beards etc.
