@Lonely hope you get the unit all cleared out in time. I love a good clear out, but I’m weird like that!

@em hope the viewing clears things up for you on Monday. All sounds v stressful.

Today I will be ironing. And ironing. And ironing....

TakeItSlow · 01/09/2018 09:48

Thanks Curvy. Smile I had completely forgotten that you were new. We've all changed our names so much that I don't know who is who any more. I'm glad you're settling in and feeling at home.

Welcome delphini. Smile

delphinidewdrop · 01/09/2018 09:48

Like the jacket Wreck!

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 01/09/2018 09:52

Thank you take, this really is a lovely little corner of MN.
Wreck that looks ace, and suits you.

ememem84 · 01/09/2018 09:56

wreck love that.

I’ve persuaded dh to go to some open viewings today. Similar properties to the new one. So he can work out the space.

ememem84 · 01/09/2018 09:57

The location for the new one is excellent. He can’t see that this is why it’s more expensive. School (a good one) a walk away. Coop Iceland M&S boots petrol statio. Hair dressers two pubs and a bookies (nice to have but not necessary) and a community hall etc all within walking distance.

LonelyOversharer · 01/09/2018 10:03

Unfortunately the contents of my storage unit are 1) yarn. Lots and lots of yarn, and 2) ex bike shop stuff to sell. Literally nothing I can dump as all brand new and worth £££. Hence my ebaying.

So, I'm going to lug crap from the house to the tip to fill with bike stuff. Groan. My yarn is clearly going into my bedroom so I can stare at it. No where else for it to go.

Just found a box of paperwork from the shop, dated 2012. I'm good to shred this, right?

Right. Ds has commandeered the tv to watch you tube, so this is my motivator to clear a space in the conservatory.

I like that jacket wreck and the fluffy teddy fleeces behind your shoulder!

TakeItSlow · 01/09/2018 10:04

Walking distance to stuff counts for a lot Em. We are walking distance to the whole world practically where we are and the house is small but I find it very hard to imagine moving to a larger house and having drive everywhere. Does it have a second toilet? That is the critical question, to my mind. LOL!

WreckTangled · 01/09/2018 10:05

Yes dd was trying to get me to buy her one of those fleeces! They're £22 though so I said no.

ememem84 · 01/09/2018 10:08

Downstairs shower room take.

life do not buy any more yarn.

Use it or lose it.

That’s the motto here. Dsis is shopping (I’m jealous I’d love to be clothes shopping...) she’s snapchattjng me selfies of outfits.

I’ve just dug out two skirts she might like. #bestsister and they’re both hush ones too...!

delphinidewdrop · 01/09/2018 10:08

em that location sounds really good! And handy to have a look round similar today, Monday feels like a long way away when you are keen to find out more info Smile

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 01/09/2018 10:09

Great news on the mortgage em.

Right must get ready!
Have a great Saturday everyone!

ememem84 · 01/09/2018 10:10

It does delphini I still think it’s the right place. But just have some niggles which need to go. The big one is wardrobes. For me anyway.

Both littlies (catface and ds) are asleep. Dh is faffing.

I’m on bed. Trying to muster up the energy to shower. Off I go.

LonelyOversharer · 01/09/2018 10:31

Right. Dp is back with the big car...I have to get dressed and load it for the tip. I want to stamp my foot and refuse to go. Grow up lonely!

Wolfcub · 01/09/2018 10:48

Ds is being foul. I have dropped him at volunteering and taken myself off for a cup of tea and a sausage sandwich. Was going to go for a walk but have a dickie tummy so don’t want to be in the middle of nowhere. The sausage sandwich may not be wise either but I need cheering up

ememem84 · 01/09/2018 10:49

lonely do it. Go on. Eat the frog.

Ds is up. Yay. We’re playing. Dh is still faffing. He was meant to be going into work this morning and then coming back for 1130 in time for me to go riding. But he hasn’t left yet. So I guess he’ll go this afternoon.

Wolfcub · 01/09/2018 10:53

Will you still be able to go riding if he does that Em?

Wolfcub · 01/09/2018 10:55

H’s usual payment has not gone into my account. Angry I have told him to sort it.

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/09/2018 10:57

Delphine Hello. Everyone's welcome here.

Em Leave him to it. Admire instead his eternal optimism that your wrong and he's right. Bookies is essential for babies first bet Grin

Adora your visiting your pil so I'm just sorry it was starbucks. Straw in a bottle of red is more appropriate. At least you will be wide awake today.

Lonely You will feel better for it. £960 a year saved.

My shopping came. Twice the amount of lamb shoulder ordered sent, panicked phone call and they've comped the lamb. I should have had £16.23 savings on offers. Only £8.86 taken off though.

More phone calls. CS reckon offers are only an estimate. Email customer services and show all the workings out and that I think the pizza and beef burgers went though at full price. Waiting for an answer. Obviously I really enjoy doing this on a Saturday morning Hmm when I could be making kedgeree.

Lovemaltesers · 01/09/2018 11:24

I know people love/hate amazon... but have you seen that they have reduced the items that you can do no rush delivery on?

Kind of gutted as all my kindle books and video purchases are always "paid" for with my credit Angry

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/09/2018 12:01

£73 refund in Sainsbury's then spent £54. One thing needs to go back as the zip is broken.

Bornlazy · 01/09/2018 12:07

Just catching up. Welcome delphini

Have had a few spendy days buying things whilst they are on offer so need a few nsd to make up for it.

Love I noticed there were less things giving credit but thought it was just a coincidence. That’s a pity I quite often chose that method of delivery.

life hope things at work improve soon Flowers

Lonely you are always on the go, you really put me to shame. I need to do so much today but have woken up with a sore throat and can’t be bothered doing anything.

JavaJava · 01/09/2018 12:20

Hi all. I planned to join a few months ago and said hi but then got very busy.

Anyway, I hope you don't mind that I'm back.

I've got YNAB set back up and I'm being good at using it right now. I do find it helpful. And I moved into a smaller place with smaller rent so I can save some money.
I'm trying to be better about meal planning and making lunches to take to work with me.
I used to be very frugal but let it go and became very wasteful so am trying to get back into it. I hope to get a little savings pot set aside for emergencies. I don't like having no cushion.

TakeItSlow · 01/09/2018 12:25

I've been out and done another zillion things, so am definitely catching up now. Took ds's rented horn back, so that's that done. Phew! Standing order cancelled, horn was undamaged which is also a relief.
