She is 12 yo meadow bras are a real problem, running out of ideas now as have tried every shop and size I can think of!!

It's been a lovely afternoon here, warm and sunny, we are apparently getting storms tonight....

Anyone been to swanage before? We are off tomos and other than our alpaca trek on Tues 😂 not really planned anything!!

em how you haven't slapped her yet is beyond me! ! Does your dh not pull her up when she is being so rude?!!

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/05/2018 19:36

I have had a day sorting the garage. Have enough for a car boot Tomorrow. Plus another one of not 2 by the time I'm finished. Left overs to chazza.

WreckTangled · 26/05/2018 19:37

Girlie what is it about bras that she doesn't like? Have you tried a vest top with built in support? That way it won't necessarily feel like she's wearing a bra? Sorry if that's a silly suggestion.

Unescorted · 26/05/2018 19:38

Em my mum does the comparison thing between me and my brother's wife. Little does she know that we speak via Facebook. The other one I hate are the stories of children popping out with the ability to walk and discourse in rhyming couplets. Yeah I believe you ..of course your parenting skills we so awesome all your kids were toilet trained at 10 weeks.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 26/05/2018 19:42

She doesn't like the feel of them wreck (sensory issues) she currently wears these very loose crop top ones but they are now two years old and really tatty. We have tried sports ones but I might have a look online to see if there is another style I'm missing!!

Cagliostro · 26/05/2018 19:47

DD has the seamless crop tops from the teen bit in H&M. I don’t even dare to try the non seamless ones!

WreckTangled · 26/05/2018 19:51

Something like this maybe?

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 26/05/2018 20:01

Will try those as well wreck thank you 😘

Cagliostro · 26/05/2018 20:12

here ya go girlie www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0483283017.html

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 26/05/2018 20:30

Thanks Cag have ordered some m&s ones to try and if they're no good will try those, honestly SPD make life so much more difficult!!

Loveabaconsandwich · 26/05/2018 21:37

girlie the last time we went to swanage we took the chain ferry across from Sandbanks to Studland. We played on the beach at Studland (not the nudist one!) and then went into Swanage for fish and chips. I had a one year old and four year old then though so very different to what you might want to get up to.

If you are staying nearby, you could go over to Brownsea Island (we went last year) which is the birthplace of scouting/girl guiding. Or Corfe Castle if you like a bit of National Trust stuff.

Wolfcub · 26/05/2018 21:52

Delicious dinner out with dm and df they paid using a voucher I bought them for Christmas so free dinner for me. They asked what I want for my birthday and they have agreed to help me paint the living room which is a state (the whole house is but one thing at a time). They have also, very generously, offered to replace the kindle that got broken when ds and I were out the other week and ds was having a paddy

They look good as well life I love you lot!!

love Corfe Castle is def on the agenda, there is a nudist beach?! 😮 I bet we end up wandering on to that one oblivious 😂

Brilliant storm here tonight!

ememem84 · 26/05/2018 22:20

sunny I love peter and Jane!!!

We are done. We’ve been for a lovely meal with my family. Mil not there. Portuguese restaurant. Ds was made super welcome. Spoiled loads.

Duncle bought him a xylophone. So. Much. Fun.

To answer someone’s question - no. Dh doesn’t pull her up. He should. He says sorry to me after the event. But it’s not good enough. Sigh.

Wolfcub · 26/05/2018 23:03

Aw Em xylophones are great. I would strongly encourage ds to play it near mil a lot, one might say, permanently

We're up and off to the beach for a bbq breakfast!

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/05/2018 07:29

Girlie Sainsbury's have a few crop top styles, depends how supportive they need to be though. Have a look at the full range. There are also pants to match

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/05/2018 07:30

YY to xylophones for mil. Isn't her grandson clever with his music skills she so has to see. Mwah!

ememem84 · 27/05/2018 07:44

Clever boy woke up at 130. Why oh why didn’t I suggest mil stays here and sleeps in with him.....

Anyway. He wouldn’t settle so we both slept on the big bed in his room. It’s against the wall but there is a gap so I stuff the gap with pillows.

He’s just woken up. And double rolled over and got himself wedged. No time to take a picture but so funny. Must stuff gap better next time!

ememem84 · 27/05/2018 07:44

Laska5772 · 27/05/2018 07:52

Fab cake *em8. I hope the christening goes well and you dont deck MIL during it ( it will be a bad look you know) , Am looking forward to more updates..
I spent much of yesterday in bed with Migraine, but that storm cleared it!. feel much better today ,.I hardly ever get migraines since menopause but used to get them pretty much every TOM. Sad..

it was a shame i did yesterday as we have family and DGDs here but it couldn't be helped..

Today we are going on beach picnic with the family and little uns! ( or conservatory picnic if its rains again)

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/05/2018 08:04

Lovely cake em. Hope today goes well.

Going to check out car boot today and go to rspb place with a pic nic. Have a voucher for free entry

northender · 27/05/2018 08:14

Sorry, I've been awol again, not fully read back, but enough to read about the little horse trying to bite Em's mil Grin. Wow she really is a nightmare & yes, of course dh should call her out. Hope the christening goes well.
Halfway through GCSEs here. Ds has mostly just said "Okay" when asked how exams have gone. Maths got a "Very good" . Spending seems to have been much more than it should've been, not quite sure why, need to rein it in for June.
Ds playing cricket all day today. We're going to watch, dd is scoring. She has earned almost £200 so far this season. Will try to catch up properly later. Hope everyone has a good Sunday.

ememem84 · 27/05/2018 08:14

Disclaimer. I did not make that cake. It’s so beautiful. I wish I had. £135. Cake 🙀 but it bought me time and no cake stress.

Its also our friend’s first wedding anniversary today. In homage to them I’m wearing the dress I wore to their wedding #frugal

I will be the epitome of good behaviour today. There are 50 people coming to christening. I can manage to lose mil in a crowd. Duncle and daunt can’t stand her. Neither can dsis. Nor dsis best friend (who has been told she doesn’t like her 😹). Nor can my friends it turns out.
