Awww wreck cute littlies!!!

Ds has just conked out on the bed mid nappy change. At least I got the new nappy on!

Must be all the fresh air!

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/04/2018 19:44

Sold something on eBay for £75, cash. I can have the polished steel bannister rail we liked now.

AdoraBell · 19/04/2018 19:51

£20 dental check up.

LonelyOversharer · 19/04/2018 20:01

Just £4.85 today in the butchers I boycott now as they didn't want to employ me as I needed a cooked chicken breast, and we had sneaky sausage rolls in the car.

Pizza party for tea, dnephew's birthday. I cooked, mum did a jolly good chocolate cake.

Bit of gardening done today, took down the 4x3m old chicken enclosure, so lots of harvested materials for my fruit cage. Going to try to build it without buying anything.

wreck what sweet babies! I always loved that pink hibiscus print (I think it's called), we had lots of things in it. Cannot get them to wear pink now! Dd3 would only if it was emblazoned with unicorns though.

Settling down for a few hours work, munching my way through a packet of fig rolls.

WreckTangled · 19/04/2018 20:03

I love fig rolls!

Wolfcub · 19/04/2018 20:10

Me too. Fig rolls are lush

scattyspice · 19/04/2018 20:11

Me too 😊

Super frugal dh has found a cast iron pulley in the garage and fixed the washing line 😊.
It's like Steptoe's yard in that garage!

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/04/2018 20:56

Ped is empty, emails cleared, have to have the leaving presentation as apparently not getting away with it. Lunch afterwards for my leaving as didn't want a night out.

Dd is at a&e with a possible fractured toe £2.50 parking.

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/04/2018 20:56

Mmmm fig rolls

Loveabaconsandwich · 19/04/2018 21:05

Hope your DD is seen quickly life and you have a good last day. Do as little as possible!

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/04/2018 21:28

3 hour wait apparently - dh will not be pleased

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/04/2018 21:53

I didn’t go for my broken toe. I had a bottle of sauv blanc and fish & chips.

It’s not a treatment plan in any of the text books, incase your wondering.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 19/04/2018 21:53

Oh no life how did she manage that?

That's a bit annoying re guinea pig insurance meadow I wouldn't class them as exotic, cute but not exotic 😉

Busy day here with work and then took dd to a nurse practitioner after school as she has really bad hay fever. They didn't really suggest much and said all hayfever meds have to be bought over the counter now. Bought her some eye drops and Puriton which came to £8 ish.

Hay fever with sensory issues is a really bad combination unfortunately so a meltdown this evening was inevitable 😥

Managed to get us to pilates though which i enjoyed. Dd managed some of it and sat quietly for the last part which was fine.

Cagliostro · 19/04/2018 21:59

Gorgeous pics wreck and yay emDS for sitting up ⭐️😍

I bought some baby things in boots today (bit miffed they had different bibs in the mini mode section, rather than the feeding bit where I got the other one on Monday 🧐 but hey ho) and DD picked up her new glasses. Salmon courgette and broccoli a success, and she tried the swing at the park for the first time 😍 (she’s far too tiny, it would’ve worked better a week ago when she was wearing a huge padded snowsuit)

I am annoyed as I have a hole in my trainers, I would ignore for a bit but it’s rubbing my toe and hurting. So shoe shopping tomorrow. I HATE shoe shopping. 😡😡😡

ChristmasSeacow · 19/04/2018 22:40

Beautiful kids Wreck. And love that spotty hat!

Em I think a lot of the range has chin ties in the smaller sizes, annoyingly they don’t show the ties on the ‘hats’ page pictures in each case so you have to look at the product details. Grr.

Meadow it mounts up so quickly Confused

Sunny glad to be of service. Zzzz, zzzz

Scatty he is a lovely man, thank you for saying so Flowers

Hope the leaving was good Life

Dd was rattling around in her swing a bit today too Cag. She’s that bit bigger than your dd when it comes to holding herself up but I still didn’t go very fast!

SunnyLikeThursday · 20/04/2018 05:57

Fluffy That sounds like an excellent treatment plan. I once took ds to the garden centre for conjunctivitis when the out-of-hours doctor had a 2 hour wait, and it was much better.

lifelongfrugaleer · 20/04/2018 06:28

The toe is not broken, she kicked a wall/ subbed it while running. The nail is more damaged this time.

Going to have 2 tired DC today. And a tired DM ie me.

scattyspice · 20/04/2018 06:58

Ouch life sounds painful.

Off today as working tomorrow. Meeting a friend then Lidl and try to get birthday present for Dad.

WreckTangled · 20/04/2018 07:07

Girlie I've found piriton doesn't work on ds but the benadryl children's one seems to be doing a good job. Also there's a nasal spray which isn't medicated ummm prevalin you can get it on amazon or any store.

Today I have more training but only until 12 (it's my day off Hmm) then collecting food shop and after school will take the dc to the beach with friends (witterings) can't wait!

Wolfcub · 20/04/2018 07:43

Life have a great last half day. Glad dd’s Toe isn’t broken.

Wreck I hope your course isn’t too packed and stuffy today

ememem84 · 20/04/2018 07:55

life happy last half day!

wreck hope it’s not to hot for you today

fluffy sounds like my kind of cute for a broken toe!

cag can you order online? Takes the hassle out of actually going shopping (although I like to shop). But if you know what you want and get the same.... ie if your last ones were converse buy new converse?!

On another thread someone mentioned shorts. I realised I ditched my shorts last year (all but my fave pair) so £90 online at fatface (via topcashback) on two pairs of shorts. One knee length denim Bermuda short in blue. One shorter teal denim pair.

I’m usually a skirts and dresses summer time person but with ds may be crawling around by th time it’s proper legs out shorts on weather so I figured shorts are necessary to prevent pants flashing.

Fatface are expensive and I could probably have got the same style shorts for less at new look but I super rate their shorts. My fave pair are 8 years old and still going strong. I bought them to do the round island walk - 48 miles of coastal path, completed by me in 17 hours. I couldn’t walk for about a week afterwards.

Today ds and I are spending the day with ddad. Or part of it. I’m thinking about going to local Manor House having a wander round the grounds and taking a picnic. We need to get a membership anyway so kills a couple of birds with the one stone. They have animals ds can look at and a park so swings!!!

WheelyCote · 20/04/2018 08:18

Made a list of all things want to do from small stuff needed around the house to big things.

Plan to tick at least one thing a day off. Today's aim is to book smear bleughhh
And get prices for a van hire to take all the rubbish to the local waste place oh and ring local waste place to make sure they'll accept a van first.

Finally told the ex to go sort himself out and not get back in touch until he does. Feels final. Not expecting to hear back and now Ill have some mental headspace for everyday things again.

Must Must Must keep on budget to pay the debt off. Have been working extra shifts on top of job and am knackered but I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. If ex pays money he said he would I'll have it paid off by end of July. If he doesn't then by end of the year.

Cagliostro · 20/04/2018 08:35

I have ten pages to read back on! Will do later as I think we are going to go to baby rhyme this morning (as no sports club - DH is doing a work thing) and I’ll look for trainers. I will just be looking for the same ones TBH (karrimor or my previous nikes - I am VERY careful with how trainers fit as I get a lot of pain if I’m not) so I could possibly try online if the shop doesn’t have them, but I also realised I do have some Skechers shoes (the ones that are kind of like ballet flats but more structured) which should still be comfy, in case I don’t find any today. Really didn’t want to be spending money on trainers ATM 🤦‍♀️

Aaaand bollocks I just remembered I’m supposed to be phoning the doctors, there will be a massive queue now 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

SnugglySnerd · 20/04/2018 09:26

I have a lot to catch up on too. Busy week!

ememem84 · 20/04/2018 09:29

wheely this May have been mentioned already but have you tried the standing order trick for the debt? Essentially if you’re paying off by direct debit take the direct debit amount you last paid and add £1/£5/£10 to it (or whatever you can afford) and cancel the direct debit. It’ll pay the debt off much quicker.

cag oooh sketchers. Love. “I like my sketchers but I love my prada backpack” “but I love my sketchers” “that’s because you don’t have a prada backpack” (guess the film. I love this movie and every time my sis wears her sketchers I say that to her...ps i don’t have a prada backpack).

I am double deniming today. Denim pencil skirt tahirt and denim shirt worn loose over the top. With flip flops. Or sketchers!

Ds is with me the whole day today. Yay!!!! He’s just cried for an hour. And is now crashed out on bed.
