wolf sorry you’ve had bad news, just keep posting as and when you need to vent.

Well done on the solo parenting em 👍, and sorry you had to look at the those horrid pics of the Caribbean. I’m sure your sister is having a rotten time 😁

QuiteCleanBandit · 09/04/2018 22:26

Hopefully Catface will sleep well em Wink
Sorry to hear that Wolf this more than just a frugal thread so please vent away Smile
I have Emetophobia so might have to stay off the thread for a bit .
Anyone watch Marcella Confused had to turn off the last bit

Cagliostro · 09/04/2018 23:56

Sympathies on the emetophobia, I am not quite as bad as I was, but still get panicky.

Yes I watched the final episode. Not nice to watch while cuddling sleeping baby :( that was horrific. And in the plot sense, the ending was ridiculously unsatisfactory also. Like WTF. I had a similar reaction to the end of Keeping Faith.

Must get to bed.

I am getting quite worried that Need hasn’t been back for so long :( I know she can’t PM though.

Wolfcub · 10/04/2018 05:17

Thanks all. No sleep and look like I’ve been punched from all the crying. Off to the big smoke for my end of year review and other meetings. Not sure how today will cope, I have zero tolerance for any shit today

Loveabaconsandwich · 10/04/2018 07:21

Brew wolf Do you think you could get a few days off work after today? I remember you are over stretched, but I imagine if a member of your team was going through stuff you would let them, iyswim. You need to look after yourself too Flowers

ememem84 · 10/04/2018 07:31

Take care of yourself wolf xxx

laksa probably just as well you can’t get camper to Caribbean.

adora dsis is Home now - I’ve said it’s probably just as well she only went for a week. I mean how would she cope for any longer?

She is ridiculously tanned.

Today ds and I go to nursery. It is the start of the end of maternity leave. We stay together today though. And are only there for hour.

Tomorrow is a different matter...

Need to buy washing up liquid as forgot yesterday.

Loveabaconsandwich · 10/04/2018 07:43

Ooooh, I haven’t seen one of them yet laska but will keep an eye out. You won’t want to reverse one of them into a tree or concrete bollard.

Good luck today at nursery em. My little ones loved nursery/childminder and got so much from it. Sounds like a terrible time your sister had, maybe next time you could go in her place when Mil is visiting.

ChristmasSeacow · 10/04/2018 07:46

Gosh Wolf so sorry you’ve had a shock and some tough times ahead. How old is your DS? Keep posting, I am proof this is a general life thread and not just Good life. Unfortunately crap things happen Sad

Bandit no further mention of the awful stuff, DD is right as rain. Apart from being exceedingly grumpy yesterday due to lack of sleep with all the door noise and excitement. After just 45 mins cumulative nap all day I had to put her to bed early with no bath as she completely hit the wall around 6pm!

Yes Love we have a door! It looks really smart, I am delighted with it. I have to do some touching up of the paintwork around it and in fact I really need to paint my whole porch as soon as I can as it now looks tatty Hmm.

Manic evening getting overtired children fed and to bed and the hallway double-mopped and stuff put back. It was also my monthly knit night in the pub do that was lovely. My sister arrived yesterday to stay for a couple of days so she came along too.

Dd’s cold is turning to a cough so she had me up a bit in the night. She’s quite cheerful today though.

Weather’s due to improve a lot from the weekend, yay!

SunnyLikeThursday · 10/04/2018 07:54

Bandit I'm not great at that stuff either. Flowers Hang in there.

Good luck today Wolf.

We're going home today .

YY to ringing in wolf. Or can you do your meetings through dial in?
Good luck with the nursery selling em. Ds' will be fine, you may need gin.
Definitely don't have the Carribbean on my bucket list, horrid place - beach, sea, sun, lovely people. How rude.
Was going to be a nsd but my old team are going out for lunch and I'm joining them for a leaving do.

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/04/2018 07:57

It's pissing down here. Ffs

WreckTangled · 10/04/2018 08:04

I've been to Antigua before, would love to go back to the Caribbean, dh has never been.

Wolf I hope today goes ok.

It's grey here this morning. I have loads of washing to do should be a nsd though.

Wolfcub · 10/04/2018 08:22

Good luck with the nursery settling Em. Ds was another nursery lover. Had a bit of a wobbl about it when he was two but otherwise just took to it like a duck to water.

ememem84 · 10/04/2018 08:26

Thanks all. We have a week of inductions where I’m meant to stay on certain days and leave him. I hope he’ll just go and wave me bye. But we’ll see. At the end of the day it’ll be good for him and he has to go otherwise I can’t go back to work.

Joking all aside it looks as though dsis had an amazing time on the cruise. It did look amazing.

With mil if I did decide to go away while she visits (not this time) I’d be in trouble. The only way it’d work would be for me to book a trip then for her to book the same time here as I’m away. That way I don’t be seen to be avoiding.

ChristmasSeacow · 10/04/2018 08:27

Hope nursery settling goes well Em.

Sunny I hope you kiss that microwave Grin. And also your extra laptop, dishwasher and Lego. Happy reunion! My sister has just been telling me there is a brilliant fudge shop in Ely. And a gin shop. So I might have to go myself now.

SnugglySnerd · 10/04/2018 08:54

Good luck Em. Ds cried at drop off for the first 2 weeks then decided he loves it. He goes in beaming and waving now and blows kisses to everyone when I pick him up!

Good luck today Wolf.

Laska5772 · 10/04/2018 10:16

Em my baby didnt even notice id gone. I cried in the car... Sad
Love it will have a revesing camera. But yes v good point about bollards.. Are you working in a dealership where they sell them also?

SunnyLikeThursday · 10/04/2018 11:21

Christmas LOL! Yes I have kissed the microwave. We are home now. I'm a bit surprised at being back in the house. I had got used to the holiday house and forgotten what this one looked like. too relaxed

I think a trip to Ely might be nice. It's very calm and quiet, and waking up and walking to the Cathedral is very nice. The holiday has been a bit like the book/film "A month in the country" if anyone has seen that. A nice break away from real life.

I have to go back to fighting my way through this ASD test thing and the question of whySunnyLivesOnPotatoes, which I'm not really looking forward to. Best get on with it though. Hum.

Tiddly Gosh! I have never seen dh hover. That would be very interesting.

£1.39 lettuce and a huge bag of apples in home bargains
£8 aldi. Their loose bananas are 5p cheaper each.

Waitrose haven’t sent me any money off vouchers since March so I’m back to aldi. The cats dentals booked for Friday morning so I’m doing an ultra cheap week. I shop a lot differently now it shouldn’t take too long.

My austrailian gold sunscreen arrived. It smells like furniture polish mixed with vanilla..the austrailians are clearly odd.

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/04/2018 15:56

£39 the range. £0 lunch as I wasn't allowed to pay.
Popped into work and wish I hadn't. Made a decision last week that I wasn't pleased with and wanted to make the opposing one. Should have listened to my instinct. Anxious now although it's fine.

Wolfcub · 10/04/2018 16:15

Em how did it go? Life have you been able to change your decision?
Setting off home now. Hard day but better to be at work spoke to boss about new job and we’ve agreed I will take it and we will manage as best we can. How that shakes out in reality I don’t know but they are being supportive even though I can’t speak to them about the issues. Have no appetite and still look like someone’s poked me in the eye but feel like I’ve been a bit productive I suppose.

SunnyLikeThursday · 10/04/2018 16:19

Well done for managing that Wolf. Sounds like quite a thing you're dealing with.

We're settling in back at home. I'm glad to be back in a house with a bath. MmmmBath.
