Nursery was fine. The staff were forceful but so friendly. And by forceful I mean “you’ve got loads of stuff to tell us about ds so why don’t you take this cuppa and sit on the couch and I’ll take ds and play with him” his key worker seems really nice. He gave her some super lovely smiles and a few laughs. He stayed near me the whole time. And we played together. He didn’t seem phased by anything. I’ve been talking to him about it for ages.
Tomorrow I hand him over and go off for an hour. If I want to I can call to check on him, probably won’t. I’ll just hop to the coffee shop next door and cry into have a cake and a coffee.
They went through everything with me. Open 730 to 615. We can drop any time and pick up any time. If we want to take him out for lunch we can. Essentially we’re paying for the space we can do what we want.
We talked allergies (no known ones yippee!), parenting style (just winging it), and food. They’ll provide breakfast lunch tea and snacks if we want them to. I’ve said breakfast and tea we’ll more than likely do ourselves but we’ll see how it goes. I have asked for them to write in his book what he has for lunch and whether he liked it or not. Just so I know. And I’ve said I’ll do the same if he tries anything new at home.
So successful hour.
Spends today £1.80 parking at nursery, £61 lunch with dparents and dsis (my turn today and I used my pub card so now have £89 worth of points. Yippee!) £3 at the park on ice cream for dsis and I (put ds in a swing - so happy! Took him on the slide - shrieked with laughter!! and bounced with him on the tramampoline - happy boy!) and £5.68 coop - washing up liquid butter for dsis (she sat in the car with ds) and tomato pasta sauce as cba to make one.
Oh and £39 petrol but that’ll last the month.
Now Home and ds is supposed to be napping. He’s in his sleeping bag on the bed with me. Rolling about.
