The chorizo bean and kale thing was nice and went down well. I added some sad spinach from the fridge, doubled the chorizo and added an extra tin of beans. If the writers of the original recipe reckon they can feed 3 on the original ingredients they haven’t met my family! This will be going on the emergency cupboard dinners list. Could be made without the chorizo too so definitely a potential veggie option.

Going to break out the syrup sponge shortly. Heard a slightly worrying noise from the slow cooker as we were sitting down to eat so I’m hoping my pudding basin is in one piece

Frugal afternoon of film watching and then games for dh and ds whilst I watched a distinctly nsf children series on my phone

Shoop That's brilliant paying off two accounts. Will you snowball against the other debts? Sorry you've got family so ill. It's surprisingly tiring doing hospital visits.

Well done for still frugalling with all that on shoop.

LSD today 7 Morrison, £30 milk bill but that is budgeted

Well done shoop.

Wasn't a nsd as I remembered I was supposed to pay the school some money by today for a workshop dd is having in school so £6.90 for that.

I've been moving bookcases to fit the treadmill in today. I had forgotten what heavy work that was. The dining room (utility room/computer room/gym) looks nicer now.

NSD (Woohoo!)

Thanks all Thanks

Yes Fluffy - my "spreadsheet of doom" shows me what I need to get rid of next. The Next account has the highest APR and is the next smallest balance so that's next on my hit list (wow....so many "nexts" in the above, apologies!).

I've set all other accounts to payments just above the minimum and will throw everything else at Next.

laska we have to give one month’s notice although I think the professional roles have to give three months according to the rules of their legal society. I only make the tea —and fill in spreadsheets and send emails— so don’t need to. February is also the shortest month of the year to resign in Grin , i’m owed a week’s holiday and I only work two days a week side by side. So next week it is!

Excellent CC clearing work there!

I need to sort mine. Couldn’t when I went to the bank on Saturday as apparently the credit card dept only work mon-fri Hmm. Basically I need to find out if my card is actually cancelled or just dormant. If I need to reapply I don’t think I’ll get one as they require income of 10k. Presumably other CCs don’t all have the same minimum? I just want one to start spending/paying off instantly and improving my credit rating, I don’t actually need to borrow anything.

I have shitloads of money in my PayPal but I need to remember it’s not actually all mine 😂😳 some is payment for trampolining, which I am now organising (so have to use it to pay the coach and hall hire), some is covering the costs of the World Book Day party (although I’ve already paid most things, just need to get a few more resources) and the rest is block booking for sports club. Which is ours obviously but I also need to remember that more people block booking means less cash each week. It’s a good thing though really, that more people are committing to regular attendance.

Usborne selling friend asked to have a little table at my party. She’s paying more towards the hall hire, and also offered some freebie books for me as a thank you. Woohoo!

Wow to credit card clearing! I remember when I made dents in my cc debt a few years ago. The relief! It felt so good!

Been to a meeting this evening re our building. Hopefully things are moving forward. Hopefully.

Just watched only connect on catch up. Dh is either a genius or he watched it in real time and memorised the answers

Great that ds is enjoying the treadmill sunny make sure he takes care though. I’m such a klutz and have fallen off a treadmill a few times.....

Just found out that sadly my first ever boss has passed away. He was a lovely man. He interviewed me and gave me a chance straight from uni. (I may have been stupid hungover/still drunk at my interview). He was only around 50 I think. Has a son too who must be about 10 now. So sad.

SunnyLikeThursday · 19/02/2018 23:04

Em Sorry to hear about your boss. Especially for his son.

I've gone a bit too far on the exercise I think. I've been doing these leg exercises with ds and now have pulled a huge muscle in my hip, and it hurt a lot. Ooops. Also seem to be coming down with something, which is not surprising after my heroic travelling feats. Rubbish combination though, and dh has people visiting from overseas at work for a week.

If anybody has any healing vibes to send me, I'd be awfully grateful to receive them.

Still and NSD though, which is borderline miraculous for me.

My this thread doesn’t half move on. I think it had 25 pages on Friday eve, but now up to 35.
Had a very low spend weekend. A total of £5 on drinks. Hotel, meals, basic drinks were already covered, so only a bit outside that -hooray!

Chest cold slowly leaving, still a residual cough, but my energy levels much better - lots of walking this weekend.

Just finished some extra work, hoping by turning it round next day, they give me more, more often. It's worth a try.

cag I think you count all money in when applying for credit cards. I certainly do, did (no more for me!), so included tax credits and maintenance from ex. Only sainsburys stated that you couldn't include benefits, so I didn't apply!

Right, to sleep. Big 2 weekly shop tomorrow. Will do a better list in the morning.

Cagliostro · 20/02/2018 00:18

Yep lonely NatWest did say stuff like my PIP would count so it may work out. They ask to see 2yrs tax returns which I now have :o if self employed.

Epic pain flare tonight. It’s been building for a couple of weeks TBH but I’ve been ignoring it because I am a twat. And tomorrow I am teaching my first actual lesson for money since the baby arrived. Can’t cancel again. Will be a relief to get it done though TBH I have been super nervous. Pain be damned, it’s happening!

Healing vibes to sunny too.

Spends £9 coffee with relative. £15 Coop because I am a disorganised fuckwit. £33 horrible histories tickets

Dh gets paid today so I'll go food shopping tonight. We've run out of everything.

Is it piano you’re teaching Cag? Good luck

Today is Sofa Cleaning day. So ££££ and BlushBlushBlush as I have to show the guys the stains. If they don’t come out we’re off sofa shopping ASAP. I am knackered from moving stuff about!

Happily though dd slept right through the night without a feed for the first time ever! Doubt it will be repeated soon but I feel fantastic. I think that’s the first time in nearly a year that I haven’t woken at all between midnight and 6am 💪🏻
