Oh snuggly poor you xx

I’m not feeling wonderful today. Feel a bit off and a bit dizzy which is strange. Have had a “full feeling” in my face for a few days so suspect some sort of cold/sinus thing.

Also have absolutely not drunk enough water so am doing some serious hydration today. Not too much obviously. Have also just taken a vitamin c.

Wolfcub · 19/02/2018 10:41

Eight days until pay day. Urgh feels decidedly painful. There is money in the bank but it’s falsely healthy as the car is going in for a major service and mot in Monday si it’s all spoken for (and possibly a bit more besides). Going to try and have a nsd but I think I’ve just heard dh make toast for himself which means there won’t be any bread to have with soup for lunch grrrrr

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 19/02/2018 11:07

I always go a half size or full size up sea doesn't seem to have done dds feet any harm!! Am quite lucky in that her feet have grown relatively slowly compared to the rest of her!!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 19/02/2018 11:09

Should probably add spends!!

£18 in b&q more paint, also bought a plug as thought would attempt to swap over a broken one rather than ditch the lamp!!

£24 aldi.

Wolfcub · 19/02/2018 12:28

I’ve sent dh to Tesco with a strict list including price ceilings 🤣 I’m not sure he knows what’s hit him.
Going to do a bean chorizo and kale thing for tea and I’ll do a steamed pud in the slow cooker for dessert to make sure everyone’s nice and full and comforted.

SnugglySnerd · 19/02/2018 13:03

After half term Christmas ie next week! Let's hope we have some more good nights before then...

Having a quiet day due to lack of sleep and rain but think we'll go out for a bit this afternoon or we'll all go mad!

LonelyOversharer · 19/02/2018 13:20

seacow if I remember Clarks have a full size growing room in them, so a size 10 will fit until a size 11 is reached. This doesn't stop them telling you instore that the perfectly good 10's need replacing NOW as dc is now a 10.5 Hmm, so in Clarks I will buy the size they fit (in this example a 10), but would half or full size up (depending if they do halves) elsewhere. Ds will need shoes soon, but his bargain £3 next outlet black boots are doing really well.

Work finished, waiting on my skip arriving. Slightly worried as I paid over the phone when I booked it...but who would pretend to be a skip company, right?

em take it easy, even though you've done the carrying/having baby so easily, your body will still be recovering slowly, I caught everything going for ages after each one. Just from being worn out, on the inside.

WreckTangled · 19/02/2018 13:39

Seacow do you have an independent shoe shop? They're very accommodating usually and ours can do my friends ds just by looking as they're so experienced.

Nsd today so far and will stay that way. Have finished all my work for the day so will sit here and look busy...

Taytocrisps · 19/02/2018 13:56

I'll try to catch up this evening but a quick update to say that DD seems to be on the mend. She's had small amounts to eat and she's drank a fair bit of water and it all seems to be staying down . I've just sent her up for a shower. I'm very tired because I woke at 3 a.m. when I heard DD going into the bathroom. I thought she was getting sick (she wasn't) but then I couldn't get back to sleep for a few hours. Respect and sympathy to those of you with babies who are having disturbed nights every night.

ChristmasSeacow · 19/02/2018 14:42

Yikes Snuggly how do you feel about that? I guess the practical problem is that you are not reliably having good nights so will be pretty tired some days. Will DH share the night wakings with you once you are back?

Half term’s over here so back to my routine of just me and dd during the day. In the hurly burly of having DS and DH around too I’ve actually missed her she doesn’t care, she prefers DH

That’s very interesting about Clarks Lonely. He’s in 10.5 now and measuring 11 but his toes do feel pretty far forward to me. I’m no expert though, I find it quite difficult to tell when the toes are stiff. We do have a good independent shoe shop Wreck but I’m not sure he wouldn’t freak out completely as it’s quite a small shop. He’s adamant he doesn’t want new shoes, it’s a job to get him to accept and wear them each time 😬

ChristmasSeacow · 19/02/2018 14:43

Glad dd seems better Tayto. Early night for you!

LonelyOversharer · 19/02/2018 14:43

It's funny how quickly we forget the sleep deprivation isn't it tayto! 3 out of 4 of mine were non sleepers, and now I just look back and miss them being tiny babies. So glad your dd has stopped being sick. We have a 48hr policy here, so no school for 2 days after last vomit.

My skip is here, phew, all above board, lovely delivery guy, he remembered me from last time I had a skip!

Now to fill the thing.

ChristmasSeacow · 19/02/2018 15:11

Happy Skip Day Lonely !

SnugglySnerd · 19/02/2018 15:31

Grrr lost post. Yes it will be tiring Christmas and I'll miss being at home with them all but it will be nice to get dressed properly and talk to grown ups. DH is fab. He does more than his share at night considering he has to get up for work but he totally gets that being at home with 3 small dcs is hard work too.

ememem84 · 19/02/2018 15:56

Swimming. Done. Ds was unsure at first but we got some smiles and he kicked his legs about and splashed. He was so happy. Dh came with us too!! Yay!!!

£4.50 swimming for dh. Ds was free with my membership.

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/02/2018 16:02

Flying Will he start to be frugal? Dh's on this board have been repeatedly late to the frugal party.

Sea ID mobile do a 30 day rolling sim for £5. Think it's 250 minutes & 1gb of data. You can get £3.15 cashback on topcashback. If your ds shoes slip up and down on his heel as he walks they are too big. It's easy to see it happening too.

Lonely Hopefully this will be the last ever skip.

£1.50 work stuff
£100.96 two nights b&b in a premier inn. We Iwant to visit Bath & Longleat House.

I pm'd you Need

needastrongone · 19/02/2018 16:16

Afternoon.

seacow, I've only good things to say about Giffgaff. It's extremely simple to use, to check your usage, and the packages are very easy to understand. I've got no problems with the coverage either. Sadly, I was always fastidious re shoes though, as my DM wasn't and I have a bunion on one foot.

I don't envy sleep deprivation or not being able to come and go as I please tbh. I'm also loving seeing the young adults they are becoming. I always thought I'd want them to be young forever, but this stage is wonderful too.

Hello new folk. Ask any questions. The thread moves quickly but it's very friendly.

You okay life, it sounds like you've got what I had. Try to rest if you can.

cag, perhaps your dd will get to understand what is normal and what isn't a little bit more as dd grows and quite normally gets all manner of colds and viruses as her immune system develops. She's sort of a first time parent if you understand, every sniffle is a potential hospital visit. I know obviously she worries, but that might recede somewhat.

Spends
£24 Aldi. Got lots for this, I'm quite a fan at present. I'm fickle though, this will change.
£12 EBay.

Also need a new blender as my Nutribullet gave up yesterday. Had some advice to use EBay though as the ninja is half price on there.

needastrongone · 19/02/2018 16:16

I'll fire the laptop up fluffy

Loveabaconsandwich · 19/02/2018 16:38

Did a first day at my new job. Started off a bit stressful as Ocado was meant to arrive by 8.30am. Finally arrived at 8.45, which meant I left home at 8.47 but the new job is so close I was still on time for 9am Grin. I won’t be doing that Ocado slot again.

Still working out the last days for my old job but likely to be end of next week. Woo!

I definitely need to increase my fleece quota but I can go to work far far more casual now. I may even dig out some old cords and wear them out for the rest of the winter as the workshop part of the new place is dusty.

Apart from ocado, a NSD

Will catch up with everyone later, but can’t believe you have to go back to work next week snuggly Sad

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/02/2018 16:41

Well that's bang out of order. [email protected], email this chap & hopefully you'll get some compo.

needastrongone · 19/02/2018 17:04

It was the opposite with me re Ocado, they used to turn up literally an hour early. I complained as it happened so often and they put it on my notes. I wasn't fussed about 15 minutes or so, but this was ridiculous.

I'm a big fan on my new fleece tbh. Style icon I am not, but blimey, I'm snuggly. We've a massive workshop on the ground floor, so it's never warm in the offices above.

Loveabaconsandwich · 19/02/2018 17:08

Ocado have normally been 15 mins early or 10 mins into my slot so thought it would be fine this morning. On the one time it actually mattered they were late. I was on the phone to customer services this morning when he arrived, who were going to rearrange a redelivery this evening so at least they were helpful there.

I am going to be soooo stylish, but I really don’t care! Don’t really care about work clothes tbh

ShoopShoop · 19/02/2018 17:38

Just stopping by to say hello and that I'm still lurking when I can.

I've got two family members quite ill in hospital at the moment so life is a little stressful.

Frugal win - paid off Simply Be and CC1. Managed to shove some CC debt onto a 0% card.

Frugal fails - had to buy lunch a few times and spent more than expected on hair appointment Blush

Hope everyone doing ok - will try and catch up properly soon

ememem84 · 19/02/2018 18:34

TAke care shoop
