Lunch is leftover baked beans (ds) and at-date soup for me and dh. Dinner is prepped to go in the slow cooker as I fancy a chilled afternoon after 2.5 hours freezing my norks off watching rugby. We have some onion bhajis in the freezer which will make it slightly more of an event and picked up some chappati and naan on our four supermarket trip for rice yesterday

WreckTangled · 18/02/2018 13:16

I did cheese and ham quesadillas for lunch. My parents are coming round this afternoon.

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/02/2018 13:47

Beef in the slow cooker here. Footy done and not too cold but I think I'm running a temp.
Dh and dd gone up to IKEA which will not be a cheap do. Finally got dd to decide on a new bed but it's oos.

What the devil is a Greek snail pastry? 🇬🇷🐌🥐

Is it FF you’re members of wreck I can’t remember if you mentioned it, I’ve only been once, it was end of season though so not much on.

We had a junky buffet for lunch here, DH picked some stuff up from Coop for me (friends visiting and he’s gone to work now). I had looked forward to a walk down to the shops but knackered after the rubbish night. She still had a fever this morning and has been quite grizzly. She’s finally napping on me and I’m not risking moving. My boobs need a break 😂 it does mean I’m missing out on games time but I am enjoying watching (the game I bought my friend for her birthday is going down really well yay!).

I’ve used some of my personal spends money on a game that’s FINALLY available in the uk. £21 (we get £20 a month each for random purchases like that and I didn’t use any last month). Yippee! 🤓🤓🤓

ememem84 · 18/02/2018 14:53

MAssage was wonderful. While I was there dh text to say we were meeting friends for coffee so I joined them there. Dh had my order ready and waiting for me when I arrived - bacon roll and coffee! Yippee!

Friends brought their daughter who is just three. Friend was super fussy over ds so I played with her dd. And we shared a milkshake. Strawberry With whipped cream and marshmallows. And strawberry sauce. So good!!!

Have just had humous on toast for “lunch”.

Off to see dparents later for a roast. Yummo.

ChristmasSeacow · 18/02/2018 15:22

Sorry Mammy we had it about an hour ago Grin. Was really good too - and the proper hm gravy tasted great, probably because I bought a tasty high welfare chicken which blessed us with abundant juices. With roast potatoes, braised Savoy cabbage, peas, carrots and pigs in blankets. Stuffed now.

Leftover chicken will be dinner tomorrow for us, dcs and dsis too. I’ll probably make pasta arrabiata as it worked well last time. My usual leftover meal for chicken is fried rice but I’m a bit bored of that now so I need to ring the changes. Any other ideas for leftover roast chicken meals?

We’ve done a lot of the heavy moving for the carpet Cleaners on Tuesday but still need to move the fish tank. That’s be a bit tricky but we’ll just partially drain it as we are cleaning it today anyway. Dsis has invited herself to stay tomorrow night as she has an early start at work on Monday and her commute from here is much shorter... but she might need to climb to bed as the spare room is Shock Grin

Girlie - chicken fajitas?

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/02/2018 15:27

Chicken and chips

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/02/2018 16:14

I do my own fajita spice mix & use that with left over chicken. I don't use peppers though, I do fresh tomato & serve it in pitta breads.

Chicken curry works really well with cooked chicken, or a pie if your good at pastry, chicken & mushroom pasta, risotto.

NSD.

Lunch out with dsis in a lovely country hotel €22.20 so I paid €12.20 it was nice spending some time with her.
Mine was goats cheese & sundried tomato on ciabatta but it wasn't ciabatta & the goats cheese was very foamy similar to philly so I'm feeling a bit unsatisfied Confused

I ran my race & then walked back about 3/4 of a mile as far as dsis and ran in with her too.

After being ill I was delighted with a time of 58 mins for 5 miles Smile

Or is it

QuiteCleanBandit · 18/02/2018 18:13

Its approaching the roof of the oven 😂
2 Victoria sponges for the freezer ,useful if there is a birthday at work.

Wrongwayup · 18/02/2018 18:33

Out for lunch. Roast and a glass of wine for both of us. 35. No other spends. Tidied garden and made a garden list. Now that will be spendy. Still stuffed from lunch. So will be a frugal tea.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 18/02/2018 19:12

Busy weekend here working, went out Ystd evening with some family friends was a nice meal and they insisted on paying which was kind 😊 I put £4 in towards the tip.

Today was a Nsd.

We painted dds room a dulux colour called macaroon mint! It's basically a duck egg blue and have matched it with the dun elm duck egg blue blinds for the window. Have painted the furniture chalk white and pale blue so everything ties in. It will look lovely once it all comes together.

Wolfcub · 18/02/2018 19:19
