Oh no Cag are they reported as missing?

Bad night with DD but I suspect teething is in full force. It is about time!

Laska5772 · 26/01/2018 10:43

catty welcome yes but the different incomes thing is a non issue here Smile we all want to do the best with the money we have and this is whats so great about this thread.
Me, I am working F/T and so is DH and income is pretty good right now, kids grown and flown so we are much better off than we used to be.. But Ive been there also - single parent on benefits , poor student.. and a lot of that frugality is still active in me if you dont count my Hush habit Grin

BUT we are both just about to both retire ( and hopefully buy a campervan to go traveling - Ive been saving up for it for some time now) . its going to be a huge difference so we need to get the best out of our money,.. I am doing a bit of house updating right now which does cost , but then its a once in 20 years thing for me!!

can I suggest you look at YNAB (you need a budget). it does cost , but it utterly changed my spending life. when i started her i was in credit card and other debt.. I 'm not now because it gave me a real handle on where my money was going, which despite being fairly bright i could never quite work out before

Anyway welcome again.. we are a friendly chatty bunch here all with the same aim..

BTW everyone there's the Big switch 9 just about to go live. I wont be as already with OVO and they are telling me I need to reduce my current DD to £50 (which is great)

Am working at home again today but Ive already had to spend £15 on a new replacement glass inner for my cafetiere teapot (grr) as I smashed it against the sink tap this morning Angry

LonelyOversharer · 26/01/2018 10:47

cag I do hope they turn up safe and well very soon Flowers

love I have some white brushed cotton that would do a treat, are you after a cloth disposable as it were, or a pretty cover and liner like a reusable? I can run you up something no bother.

Have been photographing boxes of random bike stuff and the last of my cones of yarn. But I didn't have scales, so can't work out courier charge. Will go back later on. I'll list for auction tomorrow anyway as weekend finishes are best. Plus I was freezing, so came home with the car heater on full blast.

LonelyOversharer · 26/01/2018 11:17

Holy hell, the HMRC have allowed me in. I may faint. I can now do my sodding tax return. Before the deadline. I only need to push 'start' still delaying

cag have you got round to yours yet?

Loveabaconsandwich · 26/01/2018 11:47

A cloth disposable if possible lonely as baby born can wee Grin then they can dry off on the radiator. If you pm me your PayPal details, I can pay you that way and I’ll send you my address. Maybe three nappies and really no hurry. I knew you would have the crafty skills!

That is so cheeky of the school seacow as if you wouldn’t notice Shock I laughed out loud at you at the post office! Sounds like you are off to a good start with the sleep training too. We are very very much routine with bedtime here. I get twitchy if they are still up after 7.30pm!

Welcome catty and other newbies too

Flowers cag what a worry. Can’t remember if you said, but did DH cope ok with seeing his mum the other day?

Wolfcub · 26/01/2018 12:03

Concert tickets ordered and friend has given me the money for theirs. £6 on coffee, tea and scone.

SunnyLikeThursday · 26/01/2018 12:07

cattycat83 · 26/01/2018 13:19

Loveabaconsandwich · 26/01/2018 13:27

Actually I meant a reusable lonely

£56 in Tesco
Sold a couple of gift vouchers on zeek so bought a Pizza Hut voucher in exchange for one and getting an amazon one for the other

Does anyone have a need for some size 3 swim nappies or size 5 swim nappies, just Asda brand though and probably half a pack of each? Happy to post for free as they are light to anyone who wants them

Loveabaconsandwich · 26/01/2018 13:29

OOoh lovely sofa and your lovely re-homed new table too wreck

Laska5772 · 26/01/2018 13:34

It's def the fashion laska. We're just a bit behind because we're poor. My love for yellow and grey started about two years ago when I got this blanket Grin

Shopping order and meal plan done. A bit repetitive in places as we need to eat out of the freezer until the shop comes on Tuesday - pay goes in at midnight and Ocado don’t take payment until the day after the shop comes so I think we’ll be ok having it arrive before pay day

Wolfcub · 26/01/2018 13:57

Forgot to attach the plan

SnugglySnerd · 26/01/2018 13:57

Loving the grey and yellow! That blanket is lovely. Haven't bought a nice new blanket for years because of the cat ruining them.

Cag how worrying. I hope there's good news soon.

Welcome newcomers. I'm afraid the dts caused a delay between reading and posting so I can't remember all new names.

NSD. Hooray!

Wolfcub · 26/01/2018 13:57

Love the sofa wreck

WreckTangled · 26/01/2018 14:01

Mmm wolf can I join you for dinner??

Snuggly it's only from Ikea

Loveabaconsandwich · 26/01/2018 14:10

My dad’s operation next week has been cancelled. You might remember he had some heart issues/trip to hospital last year. They need to investigate that more before operating as otherwise there might be the outcome of not surviving the cancer operation. You’d have thought they could’ve read his records sooner Confused

cattycat83 · 26/01/2018 14:20

I like wreck! I've had grey and mustard for about 5 years now I love it!

Laska5772 · 26/01/2018 14:28

wreck is it this one? sayscopycat
