Cag Hope you are managing ok, sorry you are feeling down, glad to hear you have already booked to see GP soon-ish though Flowers Brew.

Laska Sorry to hear about the bad blood re: the will. I guess all you can do is try and stay out of it really? Wine People will always gossip regardless! Like you I also love a good thermal under-top, I own a few. Toasty.

I have some good news. Today is the first day since my HG started that I have not thrown up even once Shock. It might be a fluke and I'm still sleeping most of each day and unable to eat much because of awful nausea and on two types of anti-sickness meds four times a day...but still, it's a start! Hopefully things will continue to improve. Spoke to the GP on the phone who signed me off work last time, she wanted to sign me off for another month! I said I'd rather just have a 2-week sick note to reassess again later if necessary as I am anxious to return to work as soon as I am able. I'm not sure how realistic 2 weeks is but we'll see. If I stay this way tomorrow I may attempt a 5-minute walk around the complex and see how that goes. Exciting times? Makes me feel a bit less bloody bleak anyway.

Actually did some spends today for the first time in ages - another sign I've been feeling better Grin. Spent about £11 on two small things from Etsy for gifts for my secret santa recipient in our family that we are doing.

Need to e-mail my new sick note to my manager now so he has it in time for tomorrow morning.

Thank you all BTW sorry for taking up the thread with my crapness Thanks Blush

ChristmasSeacow · 13/11/2017 23:18

Don't be daft Cag, we don't mind. All chat is good among friends. (I have resisted watching Motherland ahead of broadcast but am looking forward to more. Amanda needs a slap!)

Great news Meadow, hope it's the beginning of a better time for you. You must have awful cabin fever after being housebound for so long.

Knackered, must sleep. DD's cold is much better but she now has a cough that wakes her up 3-4 times a night. So no doubt I'll be up again in less than 2 hours!

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/11/2017 06:18

I have recorded motherland to see what's the craic.
Yeah meadow on the no vomit day.
Cag it's fine. I had pnd with no 2, nowt to be ashamed of. I still have residual anxiety.

Nsd planned today

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/11/2017 07:15

Cag I noticed he was in it too. Did you ever watch Bluestone 42? Good comedy but got cancelled.

Meadow Lets hope it continues.

I watched a bit of motherland. All I could think is why is this woman's nearest and dearest so crap?.

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/11/2017 07:18

Ooh free presidents selection mini cheeses in Tesco via shopmium app. Looks like 5 mini cheeses, glass of wine size sort of thing.

WreckTangled · 14/11/2017 07:38

Meadow good news! A bit of respite for you.

Cag sorry you’re feeling crap it’s good you can recognise it and accept it

Aiming for a nsd haven’t got anything to spend anyway HmmGrin three schools to go to this morning

ememem84 · 14/11/2017 07:54

I watched motherland I don’t think it’s hilarious but can see traits of so many people I know in it...I guess that’s the point though.

Ds slept from midnight through until 6. We put him to bed at around 945 - took us a while to wind down after the car debacle. He stirred a couple of times and finally drifted off at around 11 when I went to bed.

Email from health insurance people - they’ll settle the bills from hospital for my stay, will refund me for our dr appointments and will pay me £150 for having ds if I send his birth certificate. Result.

Today’s jobs:

  • book car in for a service and new battery - must speak to df about this first as will need someone to pick me up from the garage once I’ve dropped off the car.
  • get myself on dm’s car insurance - in case our car takes longer than a day
  • send birth certificate to insurance people
  • nap.

Dh says I should drive car around for about an hour today - so a triple round island trip...!! Haha to keep the battery going.

I may start my Christmas shopping via amazon.

Ive has a couple of hours sleep - ds very snuffly - reflexology was all about coughs colds etc and lady showed me how to manipulate ds’ feet so we can help him with snuffles. It made it noisier. Which she said it would but to persevere. It bothers me when he’s snuffling through his sleeep. Not him. He’s just so loud and I’m a light sleeper. Dh is also snoring and a duvet stealer at the moment.

needastrongone · 14/11/2017 09:06

Don't be daft you sausage, you are amongst folk who understand here Cag Flowers

Meadow I don't think that I can really imagine how awful you must feel, I don't anyone can if they haven't experienced it. I really pleased you have had a tiny bit of respite. xx

Hopefully a LSD, £5 on my class. Food all planned, nothing to sort. Might claw back a bit of last weeks overspend this week.

needastrongone · 14/11/2017 09:07

I just heard on the radio that 1 in 6 patients treated within the NHS (I didn't catch whether it was in hospital or whether NHS as a whole) are to do with diabetes related conditions, mainly type 2. I hadn't realised it was that much, blimey!

ememem84 · 14/11/2017 09:11

Car booked in for next week. Sigh. Dm is sorting getting me on her insurance in the mean time.

Joked with dh about just being easier to buy a new car.... less frugal though....!!

SnugglySnerd · 14/11/2017 09:26

I haven't made up my mind about Motherland yet.

I live very near to where Tolkien got the inspiration for Middle Earth but I've never actually read any. DH is a big fan though.

Loveabaconsandwich · 14/11/2017 09:28

Urrrgh DD2 has been a nightmare. She has a cough so isn’t too good so I decided to drive the school run. All fine until coming back home in the car. Refusal to sit in car seat plus big leaking poo. Both her and DD1 seat needed cleaning. Omg.

Needless to say, I am not braving the car again with her today. We need food. But the freezer will have to come up with dinner tonight.

She’s is now sweetly snuggled under a blanket. Little darling Hmm

Loveabaconsandwich · 14/11/2017 09:35

Glad to hear you had a better day meadow. What have work said about your absence?

That’s rubbish about the car em. But your parents sound very helpful so just take up theirs offers of help

cag talk away, whatever helps. One of us always seems to be lurking around

Flowers laska family are funny things

I may have to look into some of these thermal leggings/tops. Constantly cold at the moment so the heating keeps going on

SunnyLikeThursday · 14/11/2017 09:52

I'm meant to be running Beavers talking about healthy eating and exercise next week. I switched to junk modelling. Can't think about healthy eating or exercise in this weather. surely stodge is healthy in November

Loveabaconsandwich · 14/11/2017 10:11

I just rang the childcare people about my 30 free childcare account that they have been trying to fix since 9th October. I got told to be more patient. I felt like saying they should be more competent, but didn’t as I am too polite Angry

Laska5772 · 14/11/2017 10:17

The long thermal top bought is great ( no back gap warm bum!!) So warm that even though i turned up with thermal l/s T and jumper to office today ive actually tajen off the T!! We dint have heating in our office except for early morning..apparently its always above 16c according to our facilities staff and thats ok. Hmm

Cagliostro · 14/11/2017 10:19

How annoying love as if there haven't been enough delays already! Hmm Delays here too as DH just got a message saying nobody's security checks have come back for the new job. Training was supposed to start tomorrow Hmm

Oddly have some time just me DH and baby this morning as a friend has taken the Caglets to the park :) (after having a quick cuddle with Cagletini obviously). Spending it doing housework (it's utter chaos here thanks to the last couple of weeks days) with new Family Guy on DVD but still, nice to have some peace and for the Caglets to have a bit of fresh air as they've been stuck in with me the last couple of days. My parents should be here around the time he has to leave for work and hopefully we will go for a wander somewhere. Need a few bits in town anyway.

Thank you all for being so lovely Thanks it really does make the hugest difference being able to talk here.

Laska5772 · 14/11/2017 10:41
