You're doing well Cag. Hoping for some news tomorrow! I keep checking to see how you are doing.

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/10/2017 19:41

Ah cag a melt down is nothing to be ashamed of. You must be so over whelmed.

Hey need, sorry to hear you have had a tough week. Must be something in the air. Relax and get out walking in Scotland.

Oh girlie hope dd is ok tomorrow. She is so not going back Wink

£5 in Morrison's and somehow£60 in sainsbury and still forgot milk

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/10/2017 19:49

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/10/2017 19:55

I can't believe they've let you labour all this time, you must be bored off your tits. I hope she's here soon.

Need Glad you're ok, don't reply to my pm. It was bland Grin I hope your enjoying Scotland.

Girlie I hope ddog is OK being left. Lots of advice online if she's not & she has the cats for company.

£45 hair incl tip.

Loveabaconsandwich · 24/10/2017 20:10

I would say tell your employer meadow, especially if you are not well and sickness absence is stringently monitored

When I got pregnant with DD2, I just got moved into a job i never wanted to do and started on the Monday. On Wednesday POAS. On Friday very smugly told my new boss I would be going on maternity leave Grin . I doubt I was popular as no one wanted to do that job hence me being coerced into it.

Hope things are moving cag Flowers

Sounds like DDog is becoming part of the family girlie

Glad need has returned and hope you get some rest and recharge time

You don't need to reply to me either. It was along the lines of: how l are you ok?

Meadow as a manager I would like one of my staff to tell me they are pregnant especially if they are unwell with it. Your manager has a duty of confidentiality. S/he may have to do a risk assessment. Depending on how good they are and your job they shouldn't need to tell hr yet as the paperwork deadline is 15 weeks before edd.
Up to you though.
They can't sack your for pregnancy that's a protected characteristics of I remember rightly.

Dh is sending a theme on a Tuesday. He goes to the shop. I watch bake off and cry.

Ds we think is going through a(nother) growth spurt. I swear I can hear him growing. I am knackered. Not much sleep last night or Sunday. Busy day today. From 4pm he’s wanted feedi almost every hour. I’ve bf a bit but now my boobies feel broken. Poor boobies. I’ve left him with dh.

My back is also killing me from lifting him I guess. And I have what may be the start of a cold. Waaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Soldiering on though. Posted this pic on instawhatsit earlier. Captioned “sleep deprivation taking its toll” haha!

Dh did point out that ds is (we think) around the 10lb 5 Mark and that sil gave birth to dnephew 4 months ago and he was 10lb10. So I shouldn’t really be making a fuss. He’s right.

Dh did a food shop. £55. I’m in charge of our budget while I’m off work. Will check receipt tomorrow and add to the spreadsheet.

cag I hope Baby makes an appearance soon. It it happens before midnight she’ll be exactly a month after ds.
Peaceful night and sleepy wishes to everyone. 😴

AdoraBell · 24/10/2017 22:02

Fingers crossed for you Cag

Meadow I would also tell the manager and ask them to keep it quiet. Hope you start to feel better.

Spent about 6 in coffee shop, £7.60-ish on Halloween stuff, and £90-odd on grocery delivery.

My will power is holding firm, deleting numerous emails enticing my to spend £££ daily. Also, I have finally got around to reclaiming PPI.

ememem84 · 24/10/2017 22:07

adora I need to do that. Had the email from hush earlier. Deleted it. I do not need leopard print boots.

SunnyLikeThursday · 24/10/2017 22:13

Wreck all ds's health troubles have started in the ear/nose area and I don't think that squirting stuff up there is a good idea. I decided to stick to the injected one and the GP said he wasn't eligible so we had to go to the local private travel clinic and take what they had.

Pottering along here.

needastrongone · 24/10/2017 22:28

I’m going to write a long winded and boring reply to each and every message. It’s happening. Believe sisters, believe Grin

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 24/10/2017 22:47

I reckon you lot are probably right and ddog will be staying, dd and I were talking names earlier we don't like the one she came with but can't agree on a new one!! Any suggestions oh wise ones? I like old lady names like Beryl/Mavis, dd wants Rizzo Hmm

I have felt decidedly ropey this afternoon and have been in bed since 7pm Shock joints are aching, legs feel heavy, over whelming tiredness... am guessing one of the weird viruses doing the rounds - ugh.

SunnyLikeThursday · 24/10/2017 22:59

Sorry to hear that Girlie. I hope it moves on quickly for you.

ememem84 · 25/10/2017 06:07

Realised I didn’t post the picture in my last post. D’oh. Here it is.

Dh brought ds in at 230. He stirred a bit but wasn’t awake. He’s only just woken up now. Hooray.

I’ve been awake off and on checking on him but he’s slept.

I think we might have a quiet indoors day today. There are things I need to do here, back and throat/face are still sore so resting is the name of the game. Also completing ds’ passport application and sending my old driving licence to be renewed. I did the form and photo online just have to return my old licence. It’s a 20 minute walk away. So may just pop ds in the pram and take a stroll.

Aiming for nsd.

SnugglySnerd · 25/10/2017 06:31

Rizzo is a fabulous name Girlie but choose something you won't mind calling in public!

WreckTangled · 25/10/2017 06:33

Ah that makes sense sunny

Em glad ds slept a bit

Ds keeps waking up at 5:30 Angry

Girlie picking a name is tricky! Does she know her name? Will it be tricky changing it?

Today will be spendy 😭 the car is making a knocking sound (as always it’s because we live down back roads something always goes on it) so taking it to quick fit. Will take the dc to the park whilst it’s there hopefully it won’t take too long or we will also end up in town Shock

I was expecting some news from cag this morning!

SunnyLikeThursday · 25/10/2017 06:36

Wreck I was too. I wonder how she's getting on?

LillyLollyLandy · 25/10/2017 07:09

Morning all

Em how old is DS now?

Sunny I think you’re right to be cautious and take the injection rather than the spray. It’s really lovely to see how in tune you are to your DS’s needs. Unfortunately for my 3, I’m more of a “if your leg hasn’t fallen off then you can still walk on it” type. Poor kids!

Hope you feel better soon girlie. And good luck with the name choosing. Rizzo is good, very unusual!

Has anyone else been reading the thread about the impact of children on women’s careers? Depressing reading, really.

Today I’ve managed to spend £50 before 7am. It’s DD1’s birthday party on Saturday, and I’ve been so busy at work and with sick children (turns out it wasn’t chicken pox but a viral rash - they were still excluded from childcare for 48 hours though) that I’ve just run out of time to make/find cheap stuff for it. I’ve now managed to get the party tableware and balloons etc, together with party bag contents sorted at least. Looking at the prices of these things you can see how Kate Middleton’s family made so much money!

Got a horrible feeling today is going to be one of those days where nothing really goes right. Am so tired - DD2 was up and down all night - could really do with a nice easy day but don’t think that will happen. Lots of Brew will be needed!

Thinking of you Cag. Guess things must be happening now - hope you’re not too exhausted. Flowers

£250 to switch to Yorkshire/Clydesdale bank. £1000 a month to pay in & two direct debits out. The money's paid out after 70 days.

Which means if you apply today it will pay out end Dec/early Jan when money's traditionally a bit tight.

Cags on day 4. I've had shorter holidays.

Loveabaconsandwich · 25/10/2017 08:00

Really hope things have happened for cag and she is busy recooperating Bear

Little DD is off to nursery. DP is due home before lunch so will go out for lunch with him and DD1. I have a morning of pulling out furniture and cleaning planned while DD1 plays in peace from her little sister. We then plan to go to Currys to look at American style fridge freezers and then maybe the sofa shops too. Only looking today, no purchases should be made. Hopefully I won’t be doing this face later Blush

Did you get your news collie? Did I miss it?

Loveabaconsandwich · 25/10/2017 08:02

I had to keep DD1 home with a funny rash I thought was chickenpox lilly . When they finally got it there was no doubting it! Two weeks apart mine got it, over the summer holidays

SnugglySnerd · 25/10/2017 08:04

I had 4 days from pessary to eventual birth when I was induced so maybe today's the day!

ChristmasSeacow · 25/10/2017 08:15

Lilly I haven't seen that thread but am interested (I am the main breadwinner in my family, when working, and my career has taken a massive battering). Can you remember which board it is on (or even link) please?

Spent £15 at a pick your own pumpkin place yesterday. This was on behalf of me and my sisters, as we do an annual pumpkin carve together.

Today we are taking the kids to a NT place. We don't have membership so it won't be cheap - we keep swithering about getting it but don't think we'd use it enough as there's not a huge number of NT places near where we are.

Am sure things must be happening fir Cag now - waters breaking got me going very quickly. If it doesn't for her they'll step things up quickly once that is done. She must be sick if the place by now!

needastrongone · 25/10/2017 08:16

Thinking of cag too, hoping she's okay. So hard being away from your other DC too.
