Sunny why couldn’t he have the nasal spray at school? You might have said but I’ve forgotten.**

Meadow your gp sounds lovely Smile

Tayto that’s so funny! We don’t have that many children in our village.* Maybe get four families? I tend to go out to the nearest village where all the dc’s friends live and we go out with them.*

First set of major Christmas stuff bought, 2 hoodies and a pair of black super skinnies for DS. Hoodies were half price but black super skinnies wouldn't ever be a sale item, too much of a teen uniform/popular to need to. £63. 28 inch waist and will still fall down!

Cagliostro · 24/10/2017 13:16

Oh meadow that sounds thoroughly miserable :( you poor thing I am glad the doctors are going to look after you 💐

Loveabaconsandwich · 24/10/2017 13:20

£1 cashback on a £1 or more bag of sweets on TCB. I love sweeties, so so sad no one knocks on our door on Halloween but still need supplies... just in case Halloween Grin

Sickness is awful meadow . Ha, it won’t be the last time that you reconsider family planning choices Grin

Loveabaconsandwich · 24/10/2017 13:23

Eeek posted twice, post appeared to be stuck when I came back Blush

needastrongone · 24/10/2017 13:30

Thanks everyone. Starting to feel a bit low now that DH has gone out too and I'm on my own feeling sorry for myself Sad. Kept a piece of bread and butter down and a cup of green tea so that's good. Had some yoghurt which then came back up so it's swings and roundabouts!

I have a question, when would you reccomend I tell my employer I'm pregnant? I feel like it's early and I don't really want to tell them until I have my 12 week scan in case something goes wrong in the meantime, but now I'm off sick if I tell them it's pregnancy-related they have to treat that separately from any other sick leave I take which will reduce my chances of ending up on attendance monitoring if I'm repeatedly off with this awful sickness or whatever else in future. If I tell my manager I'm guessing he's obligated to tell his manager (because she is my 'real' manager in the sense that it was her final decision to hire me in the first place), and I guess they would have to tell HR, can I ask them not to tell anybody else? I don't really know what to do but I really don't want all my colleagues knowing or something already Confused.

Love I fancy a boiled sweet now but I don't think we have any. DH is at the hospital visiting his mam so will ask him to pick me some up, ooooh I'd love a cherry drop. Haven't had them in yonks.

Love Tayto Anyone else who spoke about T&Ting, one of the things I hate about living in a flat in a big complex is we don't get any Sad. The only thing I liked about living in a shared house for the year was it was a residential area and a house so we got lots of lovely little ones trick or treating, it was lovely.

Cagliostro · 24/10/2017 15:02

Total sobbing meltdown point reached. And the lovely MW who was comforting me then said they have the go ahead to break my waters. Meltdown continued!!!

ememem84 · 24/10/2017 15:15

meadow oh poor you. The sickness is awful. Well I was never sick but the constant nausea...Eugh. There were times I considered making myself sick just so I could feel better.

Id tell your employer sooner rather than later if I were you. I told mine as soon as I found out. I was due to travel for work and felt I owed it to my boss to at least let him know. Also if anything had happened while I was at work (I’d also felt faint etc) they’d know so could help if necessary. I don’t know about the uk but in most places here pregnancy related sickness isn’t counted as sickness sickness. So may be worth telling them sooner in case you’re worried about your sickness levels.

love at 4am this morning when ds has a bit of a tantrum for no apparent reason I considered my family planning options. Then he smiled at me (He May not have meant to or knew what he was doing but it was a lovely thing).

Chores done. And I’m now enjoying a rare moment of peace quiet and calm. And a hot cup of tea.

meadow drink all your drinks hot from now on. And with both hands. You’ll miss hot tea. But you’ll learn quick to do a lot one handed. I’ve also developed super ninja mum strength/carrying skills. Result.

cag hang in there lovely. Soooooooon.

ememem84 · 24/10/2017 15:16

also...this is the situation. I have managed 3 pages.

SnugglySnerd · 24/10/2017 15:53

Yay! Good to see you back Need.

Thinking of you Cag and also Meadow. Hope you are both OK.

NSD. Hooray!

WreckTangled · 24/10/2017 15:55

Meadow I would tell them. If things didn’t go as planned (obviously that would be awful and we hope it won’t happen) then you’d want some time off.

Wee done em!

We’re back from the farm park, ns afternoon. Frugal coffee for the win! And I made a new friend...

(((((((Hugs))))))) cag

LonelyOversharer · 24/10/2017 16:26

Oh meadow I really feel for you Flowers yy to seeing the gp, and I'd tell work. Surely they aren't allowed to just randomly tell people your news.

cag sending love x I hope the crochet hook (item of sheer torture, and I'm not so good at crochet either) has done the trick and you're on your way. Remember epidurals are most excellent in these circumstances. No point being in more pain than you need to be.

£85 in asda. Had the girls with me Confused lots of snacks and lunch, food for a few days. Half term in so expensive food wise. Why is that? I mean I buy all the food all year round, they just seem to eat so much more when not at school. Oh, £11.50 of that was cat food. Think he needs worming!

Cagliostro · 24/10/2017 16:33

Waters gone. 4hr wait then they'll do the drip if nothing happening!

Oddly I feel better now. Lighter. 😂😂 I forgot how completely weird that sensation is.

WreckTangled · 24/10/2017 16:47

Argh cag exciting!!! I had the drip with dd. Like you they broke my waters but they put the drip straight in, I wasn’t contracting and she was born ten hours later (baring in mind it was my first and I was only 36 weeks) I was very unwell due to complications. My friend had the drip and they had to turn it up as high as they could before it did anything then her baby was born quickly. Nearly there Smile

Hoping to catch up tonight

mammymammyIRL · 24/10/2017 16:53

Just quickly read back to see if there was news from cag hopefully by morning Grin

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 24/10/2017 17:08

Need good to see you back, we were getting worried!

Little dog is currently snoozing under my left arm so am typing one handed Grin think have worn her out as met up with friends and took her on a v long walk, she is very anxious around other dogs which surprised me as she has come from a home with 25 other dogs Confused I think you are right though Need we love her already Blush

Cag hope things get moving soon for you, not fair to keep leaving you.

Meadow sounds awful, nothing worse than feeling sick all the time. I would def tell your employer, if something happens at work they need to know.

Taytocrisps · 24/10/2017 17:18

Meadow it's standard practice in our workplace to tell your line manager once you know you're pregnant. Your manager needs to know as you'll have to take time off for pre-natal appointments, or in case you suffer from morning sickness. You would generally request that they keep it to themselves until you're ready to share that news with the whole office (generally around the 3 month mark all going well).

needastrongone · 24/10/2017 17:29

Oh fingers crossed cag. Take care.

girlie it might just simply have been quite overwhelming in the rescue for her. Ddog2 would wither away in that situation. Lots of dogs might make her feel anxious, plus she's had a lot of change, she's just getting to know you two and trust you. She'll get there, she seems to have a lovely nature.

Actually, even now, Ddog2 wouldn't like playing with new, strange dogs and ddog1 ignores them, all dogs are different. You will figure each other out, promise!

Does DD love her?

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 24/10/2017 17:54

Yes Need she does love her, ddog is very different to any other dog we have looked after which have mostly been terriers. She doesn't chase balls or have her nose in everything like my dads dog does but she more than makes up for that in affection and cuddles. She has a very soft nature, is very quiet as well not heard her bark yet Grin cats aren't bothered by her at all, in fact boy cat is on the sofa with us now!

My only concern is how she will cope being left, we will have to test that tomorrow just for an hour or so. Have contacted a local groomer today as she needs a good groom, we noticed a small matt of fur on her back today and her nails are quite over grown.

I am thinking I need to set up a pets saving account though Grin boy cats insulin is running low again and thats £57 Shock plus with regular grooming on the cards and other costs.....

Spent £5.50 today at a local cafe.
