Rizzo is a great name girlie. Hope you feel okay. X

ememem84 · 25/10/2017 08:21

liky ds is 4 weeks old now. Which is crazy. It feels as though he’s been here with us forever. But also for no time at all. He’s sleeping again snoring like a train...

Dh is feeling a bit under the weather today. I suggested taking the day off so he could rest - he was up until 230 last night - but he’s soldiering on.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 25/10/2017 08:29

I can't call her Rizzo can I?! Although Rizzo is a fab character she was definitely naughty Grin hmm will see, she seems to answer to most things at the moment Wreck so reckon she will be o.kay with a name change!

I am slightly concerned she may be coming into heat Hmm she isn't spayed yet, the rescue lady has agreed to spaying her if we go ahead with keeping her which we def will she has a funny smell to her this morning and seems to be licking herself down below a lot...

Thinking of Cag hope she is o.kay, I was 4 days from initial induction on a Monday (and hind waters breaking) and dd being born 7.05pm on Thursday Shock I don't think they should leave you so long, I was knackered by the time dd was finally born and she was also struggling.

I feel a bit better but still have achey legs and have this weird hunger thing where I feel really hungry but don't want to eat Confused

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/10/2017 08:48

We called our cat a naughty name & he's made full use of it.

Although I write it off as mischief. The cat can do no wrong in my eyes.

Taytocrisps · 25/10/2017 08:49

Popping in to see if there's any news from Cag. Hope all is ok.

ememem84 · 25/10/2017 09:03

girlie dh always said if we got a dog we’d call it “naked” then he could say when asked what he was doing “im walking naked” “I walked naked on the beach” Hmm

I do wish cag would hurry up. It’s a bit selfish to keep us waiting like this no? GrinWink

Laska5772 · 25/10/2017 09:42

Rizzo is fab go for it. I din

Laska5772 · 25/10/2017 09:43

Argg post too soon! Meant i dont know the character though

needastrongone · 25/10/2017 09:48

Friends of ours have 2 dogs, one called Boo and one called Bee, so when they call them they shout Boobee...... yeah childish and they are Doctors...Smile

Okay, it's payday today, so I'm setting some frugal goals, which should be do-able as we have a quiet month approaching (thank fuck).

  • save an extra £500 on top of standard savings.
  • buy £200 of presents.
  • sell/make on TCB at least £50
  • complain vociferously about something and receive entitlement. (DH's Merc is current target, it's gone to the FCA).
- swap contact lenses to Tesco or online or whatever is cheaper than rip off Specsavers.

But, continue to eat as well as we done and spend on self care for all of us (especially meWinkGrin).

fluffy I'm trailing an Eve Taylor hot cloth cleanser that the beautician gave me at the minute. Very gentle and lovely, but I'm quite liking the Clinique samples I've got too.

needastrongone · 25/10/2017 09:49

*trialing

Laska5772 · 25/10/2017 09:55

Naw come on need you know you want the Liberty beauty advent calendar hee hee Grin

WreckTangled · 25/10/2017 10:04

Car will be £163. Ffs. So I’m making myself feel better by having pancakes at bills.

Good luck Cag! I earned £10 yesterday mystery shopping and quidco have paid £18 out today. I’ve ordered the wine making kit from Wilko with the proceeds. Taking the dc bowling later and have been sent an email code for 2 for £10 pizzas at pizza express so might treat them. I was also sent the £5 for £10 Starbucks voucher. I will save that for another day. I’m contemplating if I need to buy an air fryer, I have a halogen oven already and tried chips in it but they didn’t seem to work that well.

needastrongone · 25/10/2017 10:26

I'll get one for DD too laska, bargain!!!

I will actually get the M&S one though, that was brill value last year. I've still got some stuff on the go, the Nuxe lip balm is amazing.

Laska5772 · 25/10/2017 10:34

I have last years Ciate nail polish advent calendar. Picked up onTkmaxx for 19.99 . ( i had this last year also) . If your Dd likes nail polish TKmaxx do have this years one in .for £29.99 which is a bit of a bargain as its £50 on Look fantastic and Ciate website .

Laska5772 · 25/10/2017 10:37

Tkmaxx link Ciate advent it is a pretty good deal

needastrongone · 25/10/2017 11:32

Thanks laska, looks like a deal. Sadly, she's outside with the pony and mucking out etc to use nail polish too often. I'm thinking about treating her a a Benefit one, as part of her present.

Spent £50.40 at Sophie Allport, TREAT10 gets you 10% off and free shipping over £50. That's part of the mums presents done, some stocking filler stuff for DH and the DC too. Nicely close to qualifying for free shipping.

The cottage has a Simple Human bin, I didn't know I wanted one until now......

WreckTangled · 25/10/2017 12:41

So....

£22 bills
£30 on wellies for ds and snow boots for dd
£15 Sainsbury’s on pants, socks and vests for ds.
£41 filling up the petrol tank
£3.50 car wash.

Girlie Rizzo is a nice name, not sure I'd want it for a dog though and you don't seem keen either so go with whatever you feel best suits them I s'pose. I've read that two-syllable names are the best for dogs to learn and hear clearly. I like the old names that you suggested. Beryl is cute!

Went to GP surgery and saw a different GP, she was very nice and said my blood pressure is a bit low but nothing super awful and I'm not really dehydrated or in ketosis or anything so she prescribed me cyclizine which I've just taken for the nausea. Said she could write me a sick note and write medication change on it given I'm coming off the venlafaxine which we both think is probably part of the reason I'm so sick but I said I'd leave it for now. Also she said she would apply for my maternity exemption for prescription charges given I'm getting so many prescriptions atm and it's costing me a bomb. So just took my first tablet, said if I get severely ill to go straight to the hospital otherwise try this for a week or so and if no joy go back. She says she wonders whether I may have twins as it's unusual to be so sick this early, I was like I hope not!! (No offence Snuggly, you are a hero I just can't imagine how difficult that must be!)

Have not managed to keep anything down so far today Sad but trying some celery and plain yoghurt with mint right now so we'll see.

Girlie Hope you feel better soon!

NSD as got DH to pay for my prescription and some lollies and a hot water bottle at the pharmacy. Also in frugal news finally got our HC2 certificate so we are both entitled to free prescriptions/dental etc now anyway which is good. And booked my flu vax for Saturday morning at the GP surgery. Very organised for someone so unwell, vomited about 15 times yesterday, bleurgh.

Em Hahaha, the 'naked' thing brought a smile to my face Grin.

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/10/2017 12:53

Frazzled I am all ears with the wine kit. So much of the cost of wine is duty.

£30 Xmas present. I'm going to use the next £30 of vo points in Waitrose vouchers to break even because I promised myself I'd pay for all the presents in vouchers this year. It was too good a bargain to hang around on.
£3.33 on a small top up shop.

Owe Dh £14.50 too.

WreckTangled · 25/10/2017 13:02

Meadow poor you.** Cyclizine is very good so hopefully it’ll help, this dr sounds lovely too! Do you think you could mange crisps? I loved on prawn cocktail ones and I know lots of people love plain crisps in early pregnancy, I assume it’s the salt?

OP posts:
SnugglySnerd · 25/10/2017 13:02

Don't worry Meadow I didn't suffer with sickness at all just a bit of nausea and going off food so I don't think sickness is necessary a sign of twins. Even if it is you'll be fine. Twins are hard work but I wouldn't say they were twice the work. Just twice the cost of nappies and formula!

On that subject the twins are finally showing signs of reducing their milk and bit now they are eating some solids. Hoping we might start to slow down the rate we get through formula.

CollieBobs · 25/10/2017 13:18

Ooo love the name Rizzo! I randomly said it out loud in an aussie accent though! Haha!

Hope cag is OK.

Weird day here. But a NSD. Smile

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/10/2017 13:21

Meadow I do believe you've just had your first piece of crazy pregnancy advice. Duchess of Cambridge was hospitalised with her first & it wasn't twins.

Need Yes a lot of beauty therapists rate her products. I only left Clinique because 1) it was £23 & 2) it contains palm oil that costs thruppance to grow & harms orangutans. The simple oil I picked up in sainsbos is mostly grape seed which is very high in antioxidants & a bit of vitamin e as a preservative. I hope your DD wears SPF 50 on her face everyday, being out doorsy can be murder on the complexion. When I was in Salcombe all the locals looked like tortoises, it's a proper sun trap there.

I saw a Hare today! Admittedly as I nearly ran it over but I never see them.

WreckTangled · 25/10/2017 13:26

Ooo fluffy I haven’t seen a hare for years. They’re bloody massive!
