Poor you wreck you’ve been in the wars. Are you able to take any time off to rest?

Cag today’s the day when they’ll make a decision one way or the other isn’t it? Good luck. Make sure you are comfortable with whatever the doctors suggest, it’s very important that they take their time to explain things and that you’re happy with any proposed course of action. I was also induced early with DD2, I’d managed to develop pulmonary embolisms and was put on blood thinners, so had a very specific unmedicated window in which to get baby out. She wasn’t for budging either! Hugs to you, baby is very nearly here!

Girlie love the dog pictures. If you do decide to keep her then when you’re looking for insurance, look for a policy that gives you lifetime cover for conditions. We didn’t and we’re now getting stung with our 9 year old springer spaniel - he’s at that age where he’s starting to creak a bit. He’s cost us approx £3k this year, of which only £1.2k was reimbursed Angry

Hope everyone else is doing ok. I’m on a train, having left home at 0608. I’m on my way to visit one of our regional offices and looks like I might be doing this journey every week. Is it sad that I’m secretly enjoying myself, peace, quiet and time to MN without DH or DC badgering me for a billion and one things BlushI’ve also got a hot cup of tea!!! The joys!!!

They’re giving out free fruit on this train, frugal win for me!

WreckTangled · 24/10/2017 07:46

Lilly I love being on the train by myself! I’m off work this week anyway so all good.**

£144 to school money for after school club and trip to panto for the dc.**

£500 to joint account.

£20 to dh that I owed him.**

Blah.**

Hope you're OK Cag.

100 yes I freeze chips. Probably a bit late for you now but I just put them in a hot oven for 15 mins or so from frozen. They go really crispy.

Cagliostro · 24/10/2017 08:54

I love a lone train/bus journey TBH! I often plan to read or something but generally end up staring out the window.

Not seen anyone this morning but am about to wave off the sixth woman who has come here after me and is going to go and have their baby. Envy I feel a bit like Rachel in Friends. :o I did get to 1cm last night though so hopefully that means things are finally happening. :)

Lowest sugars ever this morning (3.7 normally around 4.5-5 before breakfast) but probably due to epically knackering night. After all the prodding I was stuck on the monitor for aaaages as baby wasn't settling at all.

Keep yer fingers crossed please y'all!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 24/10/2017 09:04

Thanks Lilly will have a look later, I know some of the pit falls of insurance as both my cats have lifelong conditions and their insurance only covered them for a year Hmm

Another successful night with the pooch, she really has settled in really well.....

Plan today is to meet up with friends at the park, have coffee and walk the dogs!

Good luck Cag you sound similar to me, nothing happened until they put the drip up. Hopefully they won't leave you too much longer now though?

Laska5772 · 24/10/2017 09:11

Girlie dog looks like a real cutie. How are the cats ?

Laska5772 · 24/10/2017 09:13

Ah the suspense..cag.. fingers xd for you today

WreckTangled · 24/10/2017 09:21

Eeeee cag hopefully things will get going.

£5 in the entertainer. I went there for this one specific things and that’s all I bought despite having the dc with me Halo it was half the price that it was on amazon. Just about to get ds’ hair cut that’ll be about £13. It’s expensive but it’s a proper children’s salon with loads of toys, DVD player, x box etc

ememem84 · 24/10/2017 09:25

Yawn. Morning y’all. Loooong night with ds last night. But dsis is coming round in a bit so she can watch him while I grab a bit more sleep. Hoorah!

Hope all goes well for you today cag

Planned spends are £15 (estimated) at M&S for fruit and £10 in boots on nappies and formula.

needastrongone · 24/10/2017 09:26

I'm BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you miss me?GrinGrin

Firstly, humble and massive apologies, it looks like there's tons of messages. I wish I could access them on my IPad, I can only get to them from my knackered old laptop. If I don't fire that up (which currently takes approximately 16 hours), then I don't realise. I love you all and am glad to be back.

I'll reply to them ALL I promise, when we get back from Scotland, which is where we are for half term.

Bit of everything last week and this. DH being very unwell and working away all last week, me working extra as we are away this week, full week of training and the DC's having quite a few activities/parties/school stuff, getting sorted to come up here etc as I menu planned all the food. I'm supposed to be the one who always copes, and I did cope, but was a bit fooked at the end of it all ha ha. I've walked the dogs and slept on the sofa since we got here basically!!! And drunk red wine... I might decide I can't cope one day and see what happensGrinGrinGrin

Girlie you have to keep a dog that cute, it's not an option really. Especially as your DD loves her now already. Something to come home to after school. X

Cag, best of luck my lovely. Best of luck. Xx

Taytocrisps · 24/10/2017 09:36

Morning. Should be a LSD 'cos I've to pick up a few bits in the local shop to keep me going until my Tesco delivery arrives on Thursday.

Tomorrow's pay day so I've to pay €50 for Scouts registration.

I've also to pay €130 for a weekend away for DD.

No Scouts tonight so I've saved €3.

Hang on in there Cag. Hopefully things will get moving today.

LonelyOversharer · 24/10/2017 09:59

Are you on the drip now cag ? I bloody hate canulas. I refused to have one with ds (tbf she was trying to put one in when I told them I was pushing, he was out 2 mins later), with dd2 they scraped my wrist bone and I couldn't move my hand. Thats what they did with me, over and over, 4 pessaries, day rest, 4 more etc. I hope they just book you for a section as your anxiety just grows each time the pessary misses. Keep chipper, she'll be here very soon.

Good to see you need try to take it easy. Can you get out for a run?

Dp is poorly today. Very croaky throat. Not seen anyone else yet! Yay to half term and big kids.

wreck put your feet up please! Let your body rest a bit.

We're winging it with the pets. My visla ate a coat hanger when he was one, it nearly killed him stuck in his guts (broken plastic bits) so two big operations £1.5k. Since then they've both been well, they're 6.5 now, so so far it's been ok. He still steals and eats any plastic he can get his paws on Hmm We will obvs treat anything that comes up as they age. The cat has cost me about the same over the years, but 16 years ago you didn't insure moggies, just very posh pedigree things! He's mostly had infected bites, the rotter. Wouldn't be without him though!

Cagliostro · 24/10/2017 10:17

NEEEEEEED! Hello my dear. Glad to see you ❤️ Sorry it's been such a hectic time, it must be very tough when DH is ill. I am glad you have managed to flop and chill while you're away, I know you generally keep busy but it shows it is needed after looking after everyone and everything else! 💐

No drip yet just waiting for them to break waters first, but they can't do that until they get the OK from delivery suite as it's all a bit full and hectic over there.

WreckTangled · 24/10/2017 10:18

Woo hoo needs back! Hope you’re enjoying Scotland.

Have £200 left over from wages and today’s spends to last until next pay day. All essential bills are paid for so that’s Christmas presents, fireworks and Halloween outings.

The cannula was for fluids BTW baby's heart rate was a bit crazy for a while last night so they thought it may be that I was dehydrated. It worked but then she went too low for a while instead so we had a scary hour watching the monitor again. Contrary little wotsit.

needastrongone · 24/10/2017 11:13

Yep, I was definitely on the edge on what I could reasonably handle last week! I just knew I needed to get it done and that this week I could recover. No running lonely, my knee is very niggly and I'm soon starting marathon training so I've backed off to let it settle. That's messing with my head!

Our various animals have cost way too much in the past to not consider insurance. Deeply out of pocket anyway, but would have been ££££'s more without it.

Just need loo roll today. I've also ordered a book from Amazon about low carb performance, it's a fascinating subject cag, I really think there will be a big change in our perception of sugar/carbs and their role in our diets in the next decade. Although the sugar industry will fight this tooth and nail I am sure. I'm finding it hard to really accept I don't need carbs for performance all the time, it's so intrinsically wired into my brain!

needastrongone · 24/10/2017 11:14

Sounds like you have having a bit of a time too wrecked?x

MeadowHay · 24/10/2017 11:45

I have took my first day off sick today and feel very stressed about it Sad. I have only been in this job two months, that's bad isn't it? I was vomiting uncontrollably this morning and couldn't keep anything down so I had no choice Sad. Slept on and off for a few hours and now I have managed two Belvita biscuits and a few sips of water and an acid-reducing tablet for my tummy which has stayed down. I am just really worried that this horrendous morning sickness could continue for the next 12 weeks and I can't have every morning off work for 12 weeks, I don't know what to do Sad Confused.

Cag Hope baby hurrys up and turns up soon! Hope you are getting on ok in there Flowers

Need It's nice to see you, hope you are enjoying having a bit of a chill now, sorry that things have been tough for you recently Flowers

WreckTangled · 24/10/2017 11:47

Meadow please speak to your gp you don’t have to suffer there’s plenty of medication for severe morning sickness

OP posts:
MeadowHay · 24/10/2017 12:13

Wreck Thanks for that. Got DP to ring and first they said there were no appts til the 8th and then he explained I keep being sick so they got a GP to call me straight away. GP couldn't get me in today but made me an appt for tomorrow morning as said he wants to check my blood pressure and my urine in case I've got ketosis though he said that's rare and unlikely. And said he will look to prescribe me with something tomorrow for the nausea/sickness, in the meantime told me to continue what I've been doing really re: small snacks, water, ginger etc and to call them back if I get any worse. I think I will just call in sick tomorrow as well as my GP appt is in the middle of the morning and with the sickness monitoring thing at work it makes no difference really if I'm off one day or 5 as it all goes down as one absence anyway -shrug-. Vomited again a bit after GP phonecall but I still reckon I've kept about 1 Belvita biscuit down...sigh. Seriously reevaluating my family planning choices now!! Grin

needastrongone · 24/10/2017 12:18

Thanks meadow, that's positive about the GP, don't suffer. XX

SunnyLikeThursday · 24/10/2017 12:34

We just went and spent £11 on a flu vaccine injection for ds. It was only the three strain one but that was the best we could get. Done now. Phew!

Loveabaconsandwich · 24/10/2017 12:42

£1 cashback on a £1 or more bag of sweets on TCB. I love sweeties, so so sad no one knocks on our door on Halloween but still need supplies... just in case Halloween Grin

Sickness is awful meadow . Ha, it won’t be the last time that you reconsider family planning choices Grin

Taytocrisps · 24/10/2017 12:49

Do you want to swap houses Love? We get about 6 billion trick or treaters here. I love to see the little kids all dressed up. We have a 'trick' doorbell so when you press it, a plastic spider jumps down on your finger. I love getting all the kids to press it .
