I seriously need to try the new Aldi. Can't get there all that easily but will get a big box of nappies as I've heard they are great. Lidl is easier to get to though and apparently they are quite good too?

Cagliostro · 30/09/2017 19:18

Yum! I am having satay chicken with a little egg fried rice. From the takeaway. It has been very much a Fuck It All sort of day.

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/09/2017 19:19

Cag, Aldi deliver non food. They might deliver nappies

needastrongone · 30/09/2017 19:30

You are doing great 100, not too long nowSmile

I find Aldi great for most cleaning products collie, definitely one of their strengths. Sainsbury's do a great value range dishwasher tablet that you can split in half too.

Leaving homemade lamb tagine, giant cous cous (with added broccoli and pomegranate) with you em but your meal looks fab too, so tasty! Although, I do enjoy cooking, as does your DH evidently.

They'll deliver nappies when the baby event is on. Amazon might be cheap too with the subscribe & save discount.

Cagliostro · 30/09/2017 19:39

Ah dang I missed the baby event Blush Asda have theirs at the mo hence ordering lots (2 changing mats for £9 for example, one for our room one for living room yay) but I failed to get my arse over to Aldi when they had theirs Blush

needastrongone · 30/09/2017 19:41

And my ddog2, he's the bestest.

I will look on Amazon as well because that would certainly be convenient. A heck of a lot of baby stuff is Prime only though, they really do try and get you to sign up!

Awww DD started learning Viennese Waltz at ballroom today and is currently spinning madly around the living room 💕

needastrongone · 30/09/2017 19:48

Cag often the cost of prime goods is higher anyway, they get their carriage money that way I find Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/09/2017 19:58

They tend to discount prime the week or 2 before black Friday ish. It can be paid for monthly too

mammymammyIRL · 30/09/2017 20:36

So I spent an absolute fortune in Dublin over €300 Blush

On train home with glass of vino & a cream bun le yum

Rather oddly, dp has approved a polytunnel! We might build one instead of buying one, lots of costing to do as they don't come up second hand much. I will measure out tomorrow to get sizings. Lots of bricks and breeze blocks to move from the front to back garden tomorrow, it will get my steps in I suppose.

Just £10 in the coop today, £3 of that was a scratch card that didn't win anything. Will log into the bank and pay a bit onto each of my credit cards later on.

ememem84 · 30/09/2017 21:50

mammy le yuuummm - love a cream bun.

need ooooh giant cous cous. And lamb. Mmmmmmm

Lovely doggo.

Ds and I are in bed. Well I'm in bed. He's in his Moses basket. He's wide awake but so cute

I honestly didn't realise it was possible to have this much love for something so small.

Dh has also made breakfast for tomorrow. Shakshuka. Well he's made the tomato sauce. So in the morning it'll just be throw it in a pan and then add eggs and bake.

100yearsdotcom · 30/09/2017 23:05

Aw need thanks! Just about to get DD for sneaky snuggles before last feed of the night and bed.
cag your DD is the sweetest!
em it is insane, the level of love is overwhelming may have apologised to dh that his position of love of my life has been overtaken by DD Shock Grin

ememem84 · 01/10/2017 04:18

100 both dh and I have done the same. We're no longer each other's no 1. Catface is still my no 1 girl though she's so smug

SunnyLikeThursday · 01/10/2017 07:17

We spent the whole day in bed yesterday watching Go Jetters on the laptop. It was good. We're so knackered after all these interviews and house-buying for parents. It's good to have got ds to the age where we can do this now. That is new.

WreckTangled · 01/10/2017 07:37

Spinning this morning. Really not in the mood. We went to a family party last night, we were home by 9 as the dc were with us and I only had two bottles of beer but I still feel exhausted! Then I need to help dd paint her pyramid. Don't think we will do much else. Ds is still asleep!

Cagliostro · 01/10/2017 07:37

Oh em ❤️❤️❤️ It's just incredible. And it doesn't fade either (and if you ever have another, it just multiplies!). I still look at the Caglets and get this huge overwhelming rush that I just can't believe they are mine, and I feel so lucky. Just as much as the day they were born. I'm getting all broody now (good thing too as it's now October and that means baby could very well arrive this month!!!) and it's really lovely reading how you're getting on as a mummy :)

Horrible weather today. Friend coming to see us and we will go for lunch, my shout. Giving her a bag of dressing up stuff too (she teaches reception). DH working later although he felt super rough when he got in last night, hopefully he's ok today.

Amazon order has already despatched. How soon would it have been if I'd actually paid for fast delivery? It's bizarre.

needastrongone · 01/10/2017 07:39

I'm up and about as I've got 16 miles to do. Easy paced and mostly with some friends so a nice run hopefully (ignores weather...)

Hey girlie I forgot to congratulate you on your Parkrun!! Fabulous. Time is NOT in anyway important, that's what's the whole event is about, a fun, supportive and non-intimidating atmosphere for all ages, abilities shapes and sizes. Brill stuff xx

SnugglySnerd · 01/10/2017 07:59

Ugh. Very early start with the babies and I've woken up with a cold. Day out at local NT place today. There may well be unfrugal coffee and cake!

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/10/2017 08:01

I was having a dream I owned a noisy demanding Bengal & then I got bitch slapped awake by a soggy pawed Bengal determined to dry off on my silk pillowcase. It's like an alarm crossed with a weather report.

No lie in today then.

mammymammyIRL · 01/10/2017 08:03

Up as the dc came into me this morning - I've been awake for only one night but haven't seen them since thurs eve. They're thrilled with my purchases Grin

I'm especially thrilled with this because dd's a little worry wart.

Also I got a jacket in penneys which packs away into its own bag not a pack a mac or poncho type.

Will gather receipts later & post.

Love all the baby talks, making me super broody, but no sign of any bambinos here in our households yet. Sad

Food all looks yum and love the doggy!! I'm so desperate for one but still can't get DH on board. Sad

Weather here is so awful. It has rained almost every day for about 2 or 3 weeks. In our old city it was one of the driest cities in the country and now we've moved back here where it rains and is grey all the time. Very depressing but trying to remind myself that I do love my city and it's good to be near friends & family. It's just the weather is the worst thing about it.

DH and I are going out for brunch in a bit with some friends for one of our friends' birthdays so that will be unfrugal. And then we will go to my parents' house as it's nearby the brunch place and chill and my mam will probably make us dinner so that will be frugal Grin.

Is anyone signed up to Birchbox btw? My supervisor has signed up to it and says it's good so I joined the other day while they had the 50% off your first box thing. You can cancel at any time so I will probably see if I like it/if it's good value after two or three boxes and if not I can just cancel.

CollieBobs · 01/10/2017 09:25

Was planning on collecting an order today but the store is shut on Sundays.

We've been up all night with DS coughing Sad was hoping his asthma was getting better. Nopes.

Anyhoo. We're off to Primark for a t shirt £10 & pyjama haul £12. Hopefully they'll have the lightning McQueen top £4 for DSs Christmas.
