He bought new pants! Tee hee em DO NOT CAVE. Has he even noticed?

I spent just £3.60 today, added to a tenner dp gave me, for a chippy tea. Cba looking in the freezer.
My new trainers have come, they both fit and are ace! Very pleased.

lonely yes. He's noticed. He wanted to know why. I've explained that dirty washing goes in the basket and it will be washed.

If it's on the basket, next to the basket or In a heap next to his side of the bed it's not getting washed.

I thought maybe the lack of clean pants would sway him to tidy up. I was wrong. On the plus side he has bought new pants which he does do periodically and he will throw old pants away so we won't have any more clutter.

em that must be one big pile of dirty clothes now. You are doing so well not to cave!

love yep. Most of it has worked its way behind the bedroom door or is on his side of the bed (next to the window wall) so it's largely out of sight.

I very kindly ironed about 10 of DPs shirts about two weeks ago. The other 15 clean shirts are still waiting to be ironed by him. Hanging on the door and chair in the spare room but still very annoying! I'm not caving either, but not on the same scale as no clean clothes

I'm picturing a laundry mountain. Hope it doesn't engulf you when you're asleep em. Like something from a B movie.

I don't think it's over yet. Either DH will buy some new shirts or re-cycle a dirty one.

Just marking my place.

Picking up the tesco order tomorrow, £88 but that has christmas snack stuff (half price pringles..) and snacks for our road trip to france so I'll budget some of it from those pots.

Bought DH some france friendly swimming shorts, he isn't going to love them.

Also bought the kids onesies from the Boots sale and some extra swim wear. I realised that staying on a camp site with multiple pools and no washing machine we will need a good couple of pairs each.

Nsd here, picnic at the park today, lovely dinner of steak, sweet potato wedges and salad with a bottle of prossecco , steak was on offer in Morrisons a while back and frozen, wine was a present from my neighbour for feeding her cat when she was on holiday. I'm hoping for another nsd tomorrow.

Oh, new thread.. , Thanks Cag ive just done my YNAB.. so all up to date.. House account is finefor food and bills , and mine up to date (but blimey its hard doing so much in salary sacrifice)

Am having to curb my personal spends drastically.. ive allowed myself £100 to spend ( which I do know is more than a lot of people have for themselves) but its only enough for my phone contract , a monthly haircut , one (cafe) meal out, a couple of kindle books and maybe one other cheap thing a month. Plus another 100 to save for christmas and birthdays etc .. but its good practice for living off retirement income . )

We've got car insurance renewal due this month so I had better do some comparisons quick .

Yuck! the cat has just come in and bounded up onto me. He is sopping wet!

Thanks Fluffy. Buying a house has certainly helped me realise why frugality matters. My parents have always been super-good frugaleers and it's amazing to see how that can suddenly really matter.

Good morning!

Feeling totally worn out today with my second day in a row of getting up at 5.20am. Was very fed up yesterday so had the same conversation yet again about quitting work. I know I sound like a broken record. I did tell DP one day I'd probably come home, spend time with DC l, eat dinner and then casually drop into conversation that I quit. He took it quite well. I bore myself debating this!

It doesn't help that DP has the last two and next three of my working days of mine on a/l. Maybe I'll settle a bit more when we're back to school

Free bottle of water at the station today. Wonder if it's to prevent people passing out on full south west trains due to engineering works. Dare I say, the work didn't have any effect on me... yet.

Good luck to your parents sunny, like fluffy says, house buying is such a stressful business and I imagine the Scottish/English conveyancing differences don't make matters any easier. Plus, they are relocating and (not meant in a patronising way) it seems harder when folk get older to deal with stress, or at least that's my observation on my parents and grandparents. Least they will be nearer you guys, so will have the start of a network to help them settle.

I'm sat having a cuppa as I got up early to run. I think we will have a relatively chilled day after a busy couple of days exploring. The Italian roads/driving is something to behold.

Food is cheap in out little village so we are eating out a fair bit.

Love, I'm debating quitting too. DH is all for it, I'm not so sure. I'm no further in my thought process really. It's hard isn't it?

Frugal realisation. While I'm off on mat leave we will save over £900 on parking for work.

Really should get out of bed. Traffic will be a nightmare as they use the early morning to move the parade floats to the parade location. Sigh.

Today dh is going into work in chinos and a tshirt. He's taking advantage of our half day and is having a self imposed dress down day. It's lucky he's a senior management type. Doubt he'd get away with it otherwise! Haha!
