Wonderful news about the storage heaters Wreck. I often think of your storage heaters, oddly. It struck a chord with me when you mentioned them before.

Christmas I have an upstairs Roomba Blush. It's a godsend. I got it when dh had his office upstairs.

Been I'm so glad it's not just me with an upstairs hoover.

Creme that's good to know, thanks. I've let the housework go at the moment, but I feel as though it's a good thing. I'm taking holiday. Smile

Knitting LOL about the socks. I have switched to wearing identical socks to dh so I never have to sort socks. We just have big and small and that's the end of it. I love how people are so different on here.

Girlie We get that kind of bug a lot. A microbiologist friend said it might be a rotovirus. Hope it goes away soon.

I've had a quiet day. I tried to be virtuous and eat liver for vitamins, but it turned out to be an error. Still trying to figure out cars. Car shopping is so weird.

CremeEggThief · 17/03/2017 21:44

Ipso, I let the housework go too at times, don't get me wrong. For example, I didn't do my usual bathroom clean on Monday, as I was working that day, Tuesday and Wednesday til 1, and I was too tired to do it Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, so I put some toilet cleaner down the loo, wiped the worst of the soap scum off the sink, and decided it would have to wait until this Monday. I never let the house get untidy or leave the washing up til the morning though. I can't /won't compromise on those, as it would affect my peace of mind too much and exhaust me having to do huge jobs.

mammymammyIRL · 17/03/2017 22:19

I've just figured out I really don't fit in on this thread because I'm a complete Slattern Grin
Tomo is our first Saturday with no activities in so so long, I plan on doing some decluttering tomorrow & next week when I've a few days off

northender · 17/03/2017 22:20

Thanks for the new thread cag.
I'm glad everyone else was as horrified as me at the couple on swfl last night. My jaw just kept dropping!
We've bought a Bosch cordless vacuum which I like, but I think I now wish we'd got a g tech.

Ds has 4 friends over tonight so they all chipped in for fish & chips & are having a lager each. All quiet so far, they've played FIFA and are now watching Inbetweeners apparently. We're leaving them to it and making light work of a bottle of red. Dd fell asleep on the sofa so is now safely tucked up in bed. It was lovely to have a takeaway tea tonight, it's been ages as we've been disciplined so it was a great treat.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 17/03/2017 22:25

That couple bugged me on so many levels on swfl Grin they must have had a lot of debt.

That sounds like a lovely evening north love a take away tea!

ememem84 · 17/03/2017 22:37

I'm in bed curled up with catface. Last time just the two of us. She's been super cuddly.

Dh is 6 hours away from landing at Heathrow. I have just had a cry because I'm a wussy 2 weeks is a long time y'all.

Tomorrow morning I need to bung stuff for ragu in slow cooker early doors and change bedding. And Hoover.

Then make my way (all of a 20 minute drive) to the airport to pick him up at 2.

Yay!!

WreckTangled · 17/03/2017 22:56

I've just got home as been at a friends house. Dh is fast asleep Grin

It's gone fast to me em!

Girlie I had a Henry and hoovered once a week. Now I have my cordless I Hoover loads it's just so much easier.

MeadowHay · 17/03/2017 22:56

mammy I didn't think I was a slattern til this thread, I'm amazed how much some of you clean, I must indeed be a slattern Blush. But as I said if we're going to have visitors everything gets super cleaned though as I'm paranoid about their comfort levels.

Trying I have HFA/Asperger's and I love my telly Grin. I could live without one (we didn't have one last year when we lived abroad), but I do watch it a fair amount now that we have one again. I mostly watch live TV with some Netflix and occasional BBC iPlayer. TV licence is a pain but necessary for us. -sigh-

Girlie I use antibac wipes a lot for cleaning the bathroom too. Get super cheap ones from Asda or Wilko's.

ChristmasSeacow · 17/03/2017 23:12

He is awesome Cag ❤️ Thanks.

Knitting that is a ridiculous amount of sock!

You are all really get my juices going re. Upstairs Hoover potential. I am a saddo.

Meadow I don't do enough cleaning really, just the kitchen counters!

Cagliostro · 17/03/2017 23:26

wreck I suppose it has gone quick too iyswim. It's a long time to be apart though. But I survived it. 😀

He's at Gatwick now. Yay!!!

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/03/2017 06:55

Bargain cag.

Won't be long em. ....

Shopping and gym today. Maybe trampoline park

WreckTangled · 18/03/2017 07:10

Breakfast is served

Ds has a party this afternoon in a leisure centre so I will end up buying a muffin for dd probably and a coffee for me. Should be a LSD.

Frugaleers Marching on!
Needastrongone · 18/03/2017 07:17

Will be a LSD here.

PolkadotPony · 18/03/2017 07:26

Good morning ladies. Should be a NSD here. The dc are at home, so I've invited two friends round for them to play with. It's often easier than having just them. Just pizza and chips for them later, at least everyone will like that.

Some of my eBay items finish tonight, most of which I'm waiting for bids on. eBay doesn't seem the same any more.

Beeneatingburnttoast · 18/03/2017 07:50

I'm no cleaning goddess either. House gets cleaned properly once a week. Downstairs gets vacuumed maybe once or twice more when the crumbs get too bad Blush. Dyson upstairs and a Henry (which we're had about 10 years) downstairs

Should be a NSD or LSD. The spring in the door of the dishwasher has gone so it just falls open. It really hurt my legs when it fell on me yesterday so a safety hazard for the kids too as little DD likes to help empty it. Fortunately when we moved house we were mean and brought our one from our old house too (our buyers REALLY got on our nerves in the end). So we have another one which was only a year old, but the current one has been built in so DP is going to have great fun sorting it Hmm.

Little DD is feeling poorly too so lots of cuddles today

Beeneatingburnttoast · 18/03/2017 07:52

Well done cag DH on the steak. Yum

Beeneatingburnttoast · 18/03/2017 07:56

fluffy I ended up rejoining valued opinions as it wouldn't recognise my email. Made my first 50p! All good. You gov is probably my favourite as you don't get screened out. Maximiles drives me bonkers for that!

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/03/2017 08:03

Brilliant. Your Dp will need an account too I imagine? Wink

Gfk internet monitoring is good, £20 a year per device.

Wildernesstips · 18/03/2017 08:04

Am I the only one who doesn't wear foundation or concealer? I only ever wear mascara.

I like to keep my surfaces clean in the kitchen, but the floor doesn't get cleaned as often as it should. Back when I wasn't working I had a rota for cleaning, a bit like Ipsos, but that's all out the window now.

Anyone any ideas for inexpensive Mother's Day gifts?

Mermaidinthesea · 18/03/2017 08:06

I couldn't make ends meet this month. I've had to take a saturday job as well as my regular job, feeling a bit depressed about working 6 days a week but it has to be done as an interim measure. Once my credit cards are paid off I can ditch the extra job.

Wildernesstips · 18/03/2017 08:07

Polka I have bought school shoes from Next for my teen DS. They were a bit cheaper than Clarks and almost as good quality.

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/03/2017 08:08

I just wear bb cream wilderness. With lip and eye of I'm going out rarely

Sainsbury have some nice mother's day stuff in. Not too pricey

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/03/2017 08:10

Mermaid it's a short term thing hopefully. Remember that and how you will feel debt free or not again to your debt.

ememem84 · 18/03/2017 08:11

Washing is on. And ragu has been thrown in the slow cooker. I'm also baking from frozen croissants for my breakfast.

Spends today will be: £25 riding and probably around £10 on salad stuff and chips.

I can't remember how dh likes lasagne. With chips and peas or with salad. So will get both and let him decide.
