£5.64 coop on sparkling bitter lemon pop chips Moroccan humous and mozzarella. Dh is making pizza. Yum.

Walked to and from work today and am now home. Feeling exhausted but good for doing it. I didn't want to walk home but would have had to wait almost an hour for the bus. So walk it was.

Netflix and couch tonight I think. May watch shop well for less befor dh gets home.

SunnyLikeThursday · 24/03/2017 18:16

one I have no idea who you are, and with shame, I admit that I cannot recognise your hand.

I eally need to get a new keyboad. This no lette "" is eally annoying.

Tryingtosaveup · 24/03/2017 18:21

Everyone has name changed and I am totally (well, a bit confused). Can I just say that I am not lonely.
I love this thread because I feel that we all look out for each other if that makes sense.
I don't care what some random person says about any or all of us. I think we seem to be fairly comfortable with each other. I am comfortable with that
Lonely I think you are great. Don't take a blind bit of notice of non regular posters.
Need you do not boast. I love hearing about your runs/ times/ distances.
I think I am older than many of you. My DCs have grown.
One thing I have learnt through out my life is that women often under value themselves. We should be proud of all our achievements no matter what they are.
Cag, stop now saying you are one of the unsuccessful ones. Now. Stop.
You are doing an amazing job in the face of MH and physical disabilities. You are now a successful teacher as is your DH. You are changing children's lives for the better. There is no more worthwhile thing you can do. You have changed your life despite all the challenges and your DCs are healthy, happy, engaged and learning. And they seem kind, considerate and thoughtful. Now, you tell me how you measure success!
I love posting on here and I love all the chat about cooking, DCs, and frugaleering ( how do you spell that?)
Sunny, well done with that dentist.

mammymammyIRL · 24/03/2017 18:39

Hi RosiePosie love your username sunny one is someone who has a pony & teenage dd & ds & she's training for a big run does that shed light on who she is
Em fri night in your house sounds good. I've dippers & waffles on for the dc so I snuck in a chicken burger for myself. I cooked bacon & cabbage & mash last night but we ate pizza so dh's dinner is sorted too.

WreckTangled · 24/03/2017 18:42

Welcome Rosie. That's tricky I feel lucky(!) that many of my friends are in the same position as me and if not I now know them well enough to say I'm poor Grin don't worry though soon it'll be summer and you can swap lunch out to a picnic then the dc will be too difficult to take out to cafés anyway!

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/03/2017 18:42

Welcome Rosie.

I don't know who anyone is anymore. Oh well I'll pick it up as I go.

ChristmasSeacow · 24/03/2017 18:43

Fluffy wedding vows Grin

Welcome Rosie is your nct group sensitive to your different circumstances or are they oblivious? if they are a nice bunch it might be worth asking them whether you could have a few drinking dates at each other's houses, to dilute the lunches a bit. That's what we did, no one ever discussed it but there was one lovely person in our group that we knew was watching the pennies a bit. And anyway, once the babies started crawling lunches out got v difficult and homes on rotation were a much more attractive option!

Thanks Need. The settling was going slowly but normally, I just think the fire alarm was a big assault to his senses, he really freaked out. Hopefully I won't have to drag him there kicking and screaming on Monday.

Weird how you also look exactly like Christina Hendricks when I think of you more like this. Before today's hairdo, obviously 😉.

One we are not on such intimate terms that I can recognise your hand yet. However, I have an inkling... 😉

Shower is fixed. The spare part didn't fit but plumber managed to find a rubber seal that would fit, by buying a part for a completely different shower. Blooming ridiculous that spares are no longer sold, it almost forced us into needing a new shower with a complete tiling job required. Plumber is my friend now Smile

I have finally name changed. So now I am even more confused. I thought I might as well now my bathrooms are finished.

Coppersulphate · 24/03/2017 18:56

Welcome Rosie, this is a lovely supportive friendly thread.

ChristmasSeacow · 24/03/2017 18:58

Gawd, one prod from a lurker and I need to make name change notes!

Cagliostro · 24/03/2017 19:02

Oh blimey all these name changes! 😱 I need a spreadsheet 😂

Thank you trying I may have had something in my eye reading that 😳💐 xx

I've now totally lost track but big welcome to our newbies!

LonelyOversharer · 24/03/2017 19:02

Thanks you lot. I find it very easy to feel crap about myself. I shall add it to all the other fab attributes I don't have!

one yes, did 22 miles in the lovely sun, and took the dogs 3 miles when we got home.

CollieCaptain · 24/03/2017 19:10

cag send me a copy of the spreadsheet! I'm well confused by the name changes but love them too! Haha!

I think I've spent too long away from the thread to get back into it. Blush

Today I rescued £140 as Amazon Prime took payment twice and I hadn't even requested it once. Not sure what happened but it's all been refunded. Phew!

mammymammyIRL · 24/03/2017 19:13

Aargh I namechanged a few months ago don't think I want to this time

Loveabaconsandwich · 24/03/2017 19:23

seacow I think I may be your identical twin Shock

Lost a bit on all the name changes!

lonely if you're on here, there is always going to be one of us here for you. Night or day Flowers

Anyway, my name change inspired bacon sandwich was amazing. Two bits of bacon , fried tomatoes and toast. Fried tomatoes are just amazing. I'm sure there must be a scientific reason

Coppersulphate · 24/03/2017 19:26

Worked everyone out except Lonely? Can someone give me a clue.
I am now trying to save for my greenhouse. A really nice wooden one.
Welcome newbies.

MeadowHay · 24/03/2017 19:27

Literally have no idea who any of the name changes are Sad. In fact I can't even guess from people's usernames not posting anymore as I have really bad short term memory so I can't recall people's usernames on demand much anyway. It's a bit odd as now I feel like I'm talking to people wearing masks or something like they're people I know but I don't know who they are if that makes sense? I mean that's my issue to deal with obviously but I do feel weird.

Spends today: £15 at the salon on hair removal. But debating whether we should get a takeaway for tea or not hmm...

Welcome to all newbies.

MeadowHay · 24/03/2017 19:27

Oh I know who bacon is but that's it and that was only because you basically told us lol.

CremeEggThief · 24/03/2017 19:28

Welcome RosieSmile.

Collie, don't be daft. Of course there's always room for you here.Smile

Fluffy and I have had the same names for about 5 years, haven't we? That's how long I "know" her from Credit Crunch. I don't think I'd feel "me" with a different user name. That said, I think I've worked out who all you name changers are.

Right, spends: £7 bus travel; £4.80 emergency lunch from the Co-op; £2.25 cappuccino in a café, in between buses; £4.20 window cleaner; and it won't come out til Monday, but the online shopping for the week came- £44.60.

Meal plan:
Tonight was pizzas with extra olives.
Tomorrow : I'm going out for lunch and cocktails with some of the staff from where I work on Wednesdays. I've taken out pasta bake from the freezer, so we'll have that with garlic bread and olives.
Sunday: Sunday dinner out in a naice pub for Mother's Day.
Monday: probably an omelette and salad. DS can have the same or a veggie hotdog. [Working all day, then Pilates for me and Army Cadets for DS.]
Tuesday : veggie sausages, mash, frozen mixed veg and gravy. [Working a.m. and weekly housework p.m.]
Wednesday: Quorn and veg stirfry with wholewheat noodles and blackbean sauce (jar). [Working all day.]
Thursday: veggie burgers, wedges and salad. [Working a.m., but a 90 minute journey away, and Army Cadets for DS.]

It's amazing how much more organised you have to be when you know you're working on a Monday and you usually don't. I've had to really think carefully about what to eat and when and when I can fit in basic housework and keep to my laundry schedule, especially as I'm out tomorrow and Sunday afternoon.

Coppersulphate · 24/03/2017 19:33

Crime, I'm veggie also. I was wondering what sort of quorn you use in your stir fry? Is it quorn mince?

Coppersulphate · 24/03/2017 19:33

Meant to ask Creme....bloody autocorrect.

Loveabaconsandwich · 24/03/2017 19:37

Ha ha. I'm not subtle meadow. I'm sorry, I can see why all the changes are hard for you.

I'm sure this'll be a one off mass name change and not normal frugaleering

MeadowHay · 24/03/2017 19:38

Copper I know you didn't ask me lol but I usually do stir fry with Quorn chicken style pieces, or alternatively the firmest tofu I can find.

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/03/2017 19:43

creme in the old days it was you, me, Adora, rogue pixie and fergus.

I've been here at least 5 years.

SunnyLikeThursday · 24/03/2017 19:44

Trying I always like your posts. You always make me feel that you like me the way I am, which is such a huge weight off my mind every time. It reminds me that I should try to make sure that other people feel like that when I talk to them too.

It's going to be fabulously confusing with all the name changes. I sometimes think it's a good idea to do a chameleon act like this though. It temporarily makes people forget their preconceptions and I think that must be a very good thing.

Cag Definitely agree that you are super-cool.

I did some art just now that I wanted to show you as I think you will appreciate it. It's parquet flooring made from a jenga set. Do you like it? It tickles me no end, for no good reason. Pic attached.
