Awww Wreck, they are cute!

I've had 3 helpings of risotto and a muffin with jam tonight. Still hungry. These babies eat a lot!

Girlie DD loves smoothies. We often do banana, yoghurt and frozen berries - they make it really cold and refreshing. Might make that in the morning...

ChristmasSeacow · 20/01/2017 23:29

LSD, just a few groceries and a birthday card. Mum treated DS and I to lunch.

Em am Envy at Mexican food

Very cute Wreck

Cag glad it arrived okay. I am amused your DD found the crackers spicy - they also do a wasabi flavoured version that is much hotter (but I don't have any at the mo so she was spared Grin)

I listened to the Trump inauguration on the radio, against my better judgment. I find him so offensive.... and his speech was exactly what I expected too though I agree with you about Melania's nice dress Fluffy . He's not my president but we will all be affected and I am not taking it well.

With May's terrible Brexit speech this is a very bad week not to be able to have Wine Angry

I have spent the evening making a huge bucket of buttercream and icing a cake. I am making a birthday cake for a friend's daughter - it's for 25 people (mostly adults) so I went BIG. Cake has 10 eggs, frosting is up to 750g butter and 1.5 kg icing sugar... and I'm still not finished! There's a bit of wastage because I need a few different colours so i am freezing the spare buttercream so I can make some colourful cupcakes another time. DS was very interested in the proceedings... I had to watch him like a hawk to make sure I didn't find a big crater in it later!

Tired today. I was planning an early night but it just hasn't happened!

Tryingtosaveup · 20/01/2017 23:33

Also avoiding Trump. I expect someone to assassinate him. I am tempted to open a Twitter account so that I can follow him on the grounds that if he is going to start world war 3 he will announce it on Twitter first. Best to be prepared.
Snuggly how those babies are growing. Keep eating.
I am going to a talk on mindfulness next month. I believe it works very well.
£3.50 on sausage butty. (Veggie). Le yum.
They have finished the ensuite. Very pleased.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Tryingtosaveup · 20/01/2017 23:35

Cagliostro · 21/01/2017 01:45

Lovely pic wreck I haven't seen my dc awake since wed evening Shock
I was at Course thurs night & they went for a sleepover with their sister last night. I'm going to head out for a run now before I've to pick them up for dd's swimming lesson. First official 5k next Sat still haven't figured out who's going to mind the dc while I'm gone to it Confused dh is not working but made other plans despite knowing mine.

Needastrongone · 21/01/2017 07:37

Love the picture Wrecked.

Trumps speech was as bad as I imagined it would be. Michelle Obama's face said everything that needed to be said. DS is interested in politics, so we watched it. I'm not a massively dramatic person but I was actually fearful by the end of it, sorry folks...

I STILL haven't posted to jigsaw and playmobil as we are being tax inspected at work and it's stressful and full on at the minute and I'm working extra hours.

Yesterday:
£20 Amazon on a massive bulk buy of toilet rolls.

Today.
£10 lesson for DD.
£40 driving lesson for DS.

DH is away for the next few weeks, so it's just me and the DC.

Needastrongone · 21/01/2017 07:39

I'm afraid I wouldn't be very accepting of that Mammy, re your DH. Angry

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 21/01/2017 07:44

Off work today - have some terrible virus which is making me cough uncontrollably, was actually sick last night with coughing so much and my stomach muscles are aching from the constant cough. It's been bad for about week but seems to be coming to a head Sad starting to worry it won't ever go away (yes I know that's crazy!)
Going to try to rest up today and have a steamy shower to clear my lungs out. Have a very old
Friend birthday tonight but not sure I will be able to go Sad he will be so upset, he's older and doesn't have many friends

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 21/01/2017 07:45

Also mammy that's not on, your DH needs to step up and mind the kids!

Needastrongone · 21/01/2017 07:54

Poor you MissA, those coughs make me want to cry after a while, I just want it to stop. I'm sure your friend would understand.

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/01/2017 08:00

Gws peonies.
Shopping today

WreckTangled · 21/01/2017 08:10

MissA codeine linctus will suppress your cough.

mammy I would not be impressed Angry

trying dd is six and ds is four.

Today should be a nsd. Dh is working in Kent again so left at seven. My parents are coming round later and buying me a take away think we will have a Chinese Mmm.

Actually I need to renew my roadside cover (£42) and my house insurance.

SnugglySnerd · 21/01/2017 08:55

Peonies there are some horrible viruses at the moment, lots of kids off school. DD has had a cough all week too and hers made her sick last night, poor love. She seems a lot brighter today and has just gone out with daddy. Hope you feel better soon.
We need to return our library books today and clean the house. DD has requested to do hand printing, baking and go out on her scooter so it's going to be a busy weekend!

Brightermornings · 21/01/2017 09:34

Yesterday was very bad financially 😩 £350 mot and £270 shower repair. I felt really low yesterday. I'm usually fine about being single me against the world and all that. Yesterday it would have been nice not only to be able to share the financial burden but to give me a hug just give me some support.
Food shopping wasn't too bad £30 Morrisons and went to home bargains £10 washing powder and a few other things.
Had my hair cut and coloured £30 eekkkk very spendy day.
Tonight is my company dinner dance. Essentially it's a free do. They put transport on, a meal , entertainment, free wine and there's a raffle. I have opted to stay over (at my cost). I got a dress in the sale at dp only £30. I'm having my hair put up which is usually £15.
After this weekend I am making no plans to do anything. I'm hoping to get some overtime in at work to try and boost my pay.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 21/01/2017 09:59

Morning all Smile

mammy if your dh made plans despite knowing he was meant to be looking after the kids then he needs to sort out childcare Angry

MissA have you seen a Dr to rule out a chest infection? Sound horrible Flowers

Wreck your kids are very cute, 4 and 6 are nice ages.

Brighter i know exactly how you feel, it is shit sometimes Wine and a virtual

Need it is scary, I kind of got to 'oh well if he does blow up the world theres not much any of us can do about it' mentality by the end of ystd Sad I am gutted the Obamas have gone, loved them.

My plan this wend are to try and not spend much money! Dd has riding this morning which is already paid for, we have the cinema tonight which thanks to a friend will be nearly half price £11.50 for dd and I.

Tomorrow should be a NSD, might go for a bike ride.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/01/2017 10:12

ememem84 · 21/01/2017 11:08

Suprise breakfast out with dh. Yay! He's been working a lot (and will continue to have to until nz) so it was a nice treat. Came back and catface was lounging on the couch just making herself at home. She hissed at me when I dared to go into the living roomGrin

£25 riding today. It is freezing here. -3 in the car when we went out earlier.

I'm also going for a massage and a facial later on but that's already paid for (one of dh she Christmas gifts). Yay!!!

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/01/2017 11:49

£27.80 new flat shoes from boden. I registered Dh as a new customer so I should get 20% cashback. Camel suede with a gold toe box 😻.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/01/2017 11:56

Bugger, tracked at 83p! I've ordered before using that account.

I will have to sell some my old shoes on eBay to pay for them.

CremeEggThief · 21/01/2017 14:58

Shoes sound worth it, Fluffy.Smile
