The frost didn't thaw here all day, fog didn't clear either.

Slightly spendy day here, DH paid for Tesco top up of GF mince pies etc, £16-ish and I spent around £9.70 in there on food bank donation. Trussel a Trust emailed saying a Tesco are taking donations in store for the first 4/5 days of the month. Also spent £3 in B&Q.

Love your array of Christmas stuff Wreck Xmas Grin

ememem84 · 01/12/2016 19:32

Today's spends (it was not nsd):

£7 in m&s for fruit
£8.60 on a bottle of raspberry liquor for df for Christmas.

Good day today. Even though I had to give someone a good talking to. (Hate that part of my job). I felt I was being walked over so asserted myself.

Shakinstevensisbestxmassong · 01/12/2016 19:40

£20.70 on travel costs (but claim £16 back)
£4 on lunch and bag of sweets

Manage to resist any more online toy bargains. We have a cupboard full of bargain toys.

Hoping to get the ClickSnap mince pies tomorrow Xmas Smile

Mummyreindeerlegz · 01/12/2016 20:04

£41 in Aldi - no pork so I'll have to go back.

£29 in IKEA - shelves and chopping boards. The shelves are going above our bed for some storage.

Wildernesstips · 01/12/2016 20:06

£2 on lunch. It hasn't gone above 1 degree all day, brrr...

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/12/2016 20:40

£200 ish spent shopping. Most Christmas done except for dc bits.

CollieMonster · 01/12/2016 20:44

£105 spent on Amazon. On some of our Christmas shopping. I'm using a Christmas present tracker app and it's fending off "the twitch".
£80 on tickets for another gift.

I feel in control of the Christmas spending!

Cagliostro · 01/12/2016 20:46

I am sooo cold right now Angry

I have realised the Caglets need shoes. And some new clothes TBH, particularly DD (DS has a few slightly bigger friends so gets some handmedowns). WHY do they have to keep growing (and at this time of year as well).

Cagliostro · 01/12/2016 20:48

Oh I did get them fleeces today though. Really lovely, £4.99 each in Decathlon!

ememem84 · 01/12/2016 20:48

Have messed up. Ordered something for myself from hush.

I've tracked it and apparently it's in Leeds at the depot.

I emailed them today and they said they'd look into it and send another skirt.

A parcel was in my doorstep when I got back. I emailed them and told them parcel had arrived.

Turns out parcel wasn't from them. It was dh's bike jacket.

I've emailed and told them that parcel hadn't arrived. Will they believe me???

AdoraBell · 01/12/2016 20:57

Cag I have my dressing gown on over my clothes, could you do that? And extra socks. Obviously your house/flat should be warm enoughHmm

em tell them you hadn't checked and it turned out to a different order.

Cagliostro · 01/12/2016 21:01

I haven't taken my coat or boots off yet adora :o got home nearly 2 hours ago

AdoraBell · 01/12/2016 21:18

Collie what is that app called? if you don't mind me asking. Sounds very useful.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 01/12/2016 21:31

Im under two blankets and a cardicoat!! Its been freezing fog all day here, noticed my path had frozen when my mum left earlier, that will be fun in the morning Hmm

Dd liked her playmobil calender, pleased I got it for her.

Spend day really; petrol £42 and ran out of oil in the car which cost £15 as got the garage to do it for me Blush and am about to pay the cm fees £87.

Also going to have a look again at the Tescos online experience gifts! Oh and need to pay my brother £60 for my half of mums Christmas present! This month is going to a write off spends right?!

Tryingtosaveup · 01/12/2016 21:58

Spendy day here as well. About £120 on Christmas pressies. Oh well can't be helped. I always spend much more than I expect. It always takes me by surprise just how much it costs. I suppose I don't budget properly for it. I just see some and think so and so will like that.
And I had to pay first instalment to builder and plumber but that's all saved for.
And haircut.
Oh well. Could be worse. At least the leak has stopped and my fire is warm
Hope you are warming up Cag and other frugaleers.

Tryingtosaveup · 01/12/2016 22:02

It's not December I'm writing off. It's January when the credit card bill arrives😳
Em, ring them quickly and send a photo of the parcel to prove it wasn't the skirt.
It was freezing here this morning but warmed up quite well later.
Which part of the country are you in Girlie if you don't mind me asking?

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 01/12/2016 22:10

I'm South West Trying am putting off looking at the online account!!

northender · 01/12/2016 22:10

Hoping the picture attaches to the post! This is what I've been doing for an hour or two today (and a few days before). The small triangles are the flags for bunting & the big triangles are for a Christmas table runner. It's really complicated but I spent a day at a workshop learning how to do it so I'm having a go. The bunting is much simpler in comparison so I do that for light relief!

Cagliostro · 01/12/2016 23:06

Wow that's fab!

AdoraBell · 01/12/2016 23:44

Girlie I must confess I've never topped up oil myself, but I know it's not difficult, try youtube for a tutorial and save some money next time.

That looks fab north

Glad the leak is sorted Trying

I'm feeling toasty after 2 vinos now 😀.

Tomorrow will be slightly Spendy - secret Santa at school.

northender · 01/12/2016 23:55

Thanks, I'm finding it quite therapeutic and very addictive. As I bought the fabrics last year, it's also frugal.

CremeEggThief · 01/12/2016 23:56

Fab, North. Wish I was at all crafty!

Cagliostro · 02/12/2016 00:43

I would love to be able to do that kind of crafty stuff. I was thinking at some point I might make a couple of drawstring bags for DD's ballroom/tap shoes, with some kind of applique on the front. I am shit with sewing, knitting, all that stuff though!

WreckTangled · 02/12/2016 05:55

Wow north that's brilliant.

My app says it's not frozen here this morning but too dark to see right now.

Dd has her Christmas fayre tonight. I'm taking £10 and that's it. It's so easy to spend loads at these things.

Off to work in a minute. I've got new uniform. Dh said I look like a dental nurse, I think I look like a beautician Xmas Smile unfortunately these tunics are made for ladies with big boobs, this does not include me Xmas BiscuitXmas Biscuit

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/12/2016 06:00

Long day at work today. Ds has developed a cough and it's all my fault for letting him do football on Wednesday apparently. Dh is in a strop.
Hope it's not too cold today, the office is baltic
Nice sewing north
