Gold stars for most excellent frugaleering for Wreck Star Star Star also Need you have done well with your selling so you can have one as well Star Wink

Fluffy i have had a look at the manual but I found it quite confusing Blush will dig it out and have another look.

8 I am the same with my house, I love it and even though I am poorer now its so so worth it Grin I think thats what I thought would happen with my heating but it doesn't seem to do that Confused oh well am sure i will figure it out!

I have been busy tidying, cleaning and hoovering and my house looks nice and shiny now Halo

mammymammyIRL · 12/10/2016 16:17

collie that's a great idea. I put a lot of my longer term savings into a separate acc eg christmas, woodpellets etc. The ynab theory is one account and categories for these things. My discipline is not as high as it should be & I sometimes WAM(whack a mole - move things between categories after spending extra on something you hadn't planned for or had planned less) I think I'll be going back to transferring to separate account on auto transfer, I can show them as off budget accounts in ynab to keep track. I keep key fob thing for logging into that separate account at work.

girlie your diabetic cat is very like our Tom alright, gives me a vision of what he'll be like when he grows up [aww]

8 your ex dh is being a right twat but I guess that's why he's your ex dh
electric go to spinning you'll be glad afterwards

mammymammyIRL · 12/10/2016 16:21

I think the mobile out of the room is a great idea - just don't know if I could do it!

tayto bord gais have an offer on electricity at the moment. €100 back as credit to your account, 12 month contract. I must check if I'm lock into contract with electric ireland. Inspired by wreck

WreckTangled · 12/10/2016 16:34

Need we have chilli too!

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/10/2016 17:05

wreck 👊 brilliant frugalling.

Girlie I did the first time I read mine.

Everyone's using the money saving expert energy club? . The companies we use aren't even on uswitch.

It wasn't a NSD after all, I had to pay my tax investigation insurance, £139 for the year.

SnugglySnerd · 12/10/2016 17:16

Wow, some excellent frugalling today, well done!
Have used a load of apples I was given to make a crumble.

mammymammyIRL · 12/10/2016 17:22

snuggly my dad sent me two carrier bags of cooking apples you just reminded me to do something with them!!

CremeEggThief · 12/10/2016 17:28

Great Frugaleering, everyone.Star

Beautiful dog photos as well.

When I moved 3 years ago to my previous house, I made a decision to get rid of all technology from my bedroom, apart from a clock radio and I've kept it up. I'd urge anyone who's considering it to give it a try.

Spends: £9.70 bus to work and £2.38 on milk and cake.

Collieballs · 12/10/2016 17:38

We also have a technology ban from the bedroom. Highly recommended!

So, the new Hoover is here and our carpets look like new! Pleasing! Grin

I feel sick after hoovering though. Perhaps I did too much. Oh well! At least I can feel sick in a nice clean room now.

AdoraBell · 12/10/2016 18:05

NSD

AGenie · 12/10/2016 18:27

Wreck that's hilarious that you get to walk your cat. Do you think it will work? I've always liked large cats m'self. Glad you're feeling good about getting off Sky. We did it years ago and never missed it not since we have small child to stare at instead.

I've still go this really very tedious flu. 'nother cheap month then. Yay! Grin

Wreck, that's brilliant frugaleering. Lots of stars to you and Need. Wish I could sell like that. But I am not on Facebook . Perhaps I should join.

Fluffy I have looked at the MSE energy club, but I think I am with the same energy firm as you...GBenergy. I have switched to their standard tariffs but can't remember what it's called.

Lovely dog and cat pics. I love the animal pics. My big black cat a few years ago but he was very old ( and daft). I still miss him terribly as he used to sleep on my pillow
Can't quite ring myself to get another cat yet as I am away a lot and it wouldn't be fair.
Off out with friends.

WreckTangled · 12/10/2016 18:41

AGenie he often walks with us when I take dd to the bus stop for school so he might do?! I'll be sure to get a picture if it works! Will wait for pay day to get a lead though.

I've haven't had much luck selling on fb recently Sad

Wildernesstips · 12/10/2016 19:04

Wreck I really regret not getting my cat used to a harness when he was younger as I would love to take him for a walk.

Spends:£2.66 tissues and a sandwich.
Gains: £73 from Quidco, although this will be paying for some Lego for DS2 for Christmas.

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/10/2016 19:10

There's a Bengal on YouTube called Boomer, his owner does videos on how to train cats to walk on leads. His cats skateboard & hang out with dogs.

He's an animal trainer by trade.

WreckTangled · 12/10/2016 19:14

Cool fluffy I'm going to look for that. Wilderness he's 8 so it might not work Grin

I've got a hen do Friday. Will be spendy. Where you live 8 I'm looking forward to it though, going to try not to get too drunk. I bought a roll for lunch tomorrow and Dh gave it to dd Hmm

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 12/10/2016 20:00

We tried taking our girl cat out on a lead when she was a kitten, it didn't end well Hmm Grin Does he go out normally Fluffy ? Both my cats are followers, they regularly follow us for a little walk, its hilarious when dd goes trick or treating at Halloween with both cats in tow!!

Agenie that flu has been going on for ages, have you seen the Dr? Might need some antibiotics to knock it on the head if still hanging about, might be something bacterial somewhere?

Have thrown a banana cake together to use up some over ripe bananas.

Oh I think I may have finally figured out the heating Grin

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 12/10/2016 20:01

Sorry meant wreck not fluffy Blush

WreckTangled · 12/10/2016 20:04

Yes girlie he does Smile

Shesgotelectricboobs · 12/10/2016 20:11

Spinning done. Didn't. Other changing after and just hit the shop.

£43. I meant to take a list with me. But left it on my desk.

dh has made pasta and homemade tomato sauce and homemade saffron french bread. clever

Cagliostro · 12/10/2016 21:01

London was... expensive! Made the mistake of going to the creperie. Le yum, but le pricey.

Collieballs · 12/10/2016 21:08

Savings have been transferred! Yay!

Thou shalt not spend

Taytocrisps · 12/10/2016 21:32

Thanks for that tip mammy. We're with Bord Gais already. Do you think they'd offer it to existing customers?

Shesgotelectricboobs · 12/10/2016 21:32

Tomorrow will be nsd. Lunches have been made will be walking to and from work.

Pumpkin and ginger soup for dinner tomorrow. Yummy.

I tried no tech in the bedroom. Dh wouldn't do it. So reverted to using phone in bed. I did buy a non ticking alarm clock clock though.

May see if I can persuade him to put his phone away.

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/10/2016 06:22

Nsd yesterday
No tech bedroom here. Tis great. I never sleep well when dh is on call with the phone noises.

Some good frugalness and selling going on here, well done you guys. I've totally lost it with birthdays and poorly dc but will hang on in.

Nice photos. Got to pat some guide dog puppies the day and got quite sad as still miss ddog.

8 your ex is jealous as it's not about him.

Love the idea of cat walking, photos are a must.

Sorry if I've missed anyone reading back a day and a half
