Wilder is that a cat or a tiger?? Shock He is gorgeous!!

Had to pop out as needed smarties for dds cupcakes, forgot there was a dotty theme so the cake sale!! Also forgot it was Sunday so everywhere was shut eventually found a Tesco express that was open, bought Smarties, eggs and dark chocolate - spent £3 ish I think.

Collie you poor thing, have they checked your bloods? i would want your liver function checking anyway and if you get any more pain scanning for gall stones or anything else!! Sounds horrendous Flowers

Shesgotelectricboobs · 09/10/2016 21:38

wilderness what a beauty!!!

I'm going to give the flea spot on stuff a try. Catface is still a bit nervous of everyone. So either taking her to the vet or spotting it on myself are going to be stressful.

I'm going to try and go it when I feed her. Use the old distraction technique.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/10/2016 21:50

Lovely cat wilderness

Program is flea contraceptive. I'm stops infestation of the house but it's not going to stop the cat becoming a flea bag.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/10/2016 22:18

I only realised after I paid £35 to get the cat programmed Hmm

The vet explained it to me slowly Blush

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/10/2016 07:15

Both dc off school today with fruflu. I'm Planning on baking and a bit more decluttering.
Need vic vapour stuff

Collieballs · 10/10/2016 07:39

Colliecat had fleas a few years ago but hasn't had them since. The vet said it was due to her lurking in long grass in the countryside / nearby fields at the old house. I remember panicking on the frugaleering thread years ago about it Grin no idea if the long grass theory is true - I believed him regardless Blush we obviously continued to treat her regardless

Hope they feel better soon life

NSD today but I am getting myself a treat this week for going through this shitty illness. £5 limit as I cashed in some Quidco money via Amazon giftcard which = £5 ish.

I want autumnal nail polish

Did you survive the night Wreck?

ThisOnesNew · 10/10/2016 08:02

electric I really dislike the scented Always too. I found out this month that Tesco own brand ones are unscented, as are co-op. Phew! Rose-scented-bits are not a complication I need right now.

If it helps any electric since having ds my old familiar PMT setup has been replaced with epic-diarrhoea-without-warning once a month. It's just charming and that has been my entertainment this week. I'm going to ask for a gyne referral. I hope you're having an easier time.

I've reported the spam post from SarahWoods above to MNHQ.

ThisOnesNew · 10/10/2016 08:03

collie well done for fighting your way through this. You're doing brilliantly. I hope it's a bit better this morning.

Wreck I'm crossing my fingers that you do not catch ds's lurgy. Good luck there.

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/10/2016 08:11

I've reported the spamming too.
Hope things are better today wreck.
I hate scented products. I once got a feedback thing from a manufacturer consumer panel and went on a right tyraid about scented feminine products. Doesn't seem to have worked through.

Shesgotelectricboobs · 10/10/2016 08:17

this I should have realised they'd be scented. I've read enough on here about them.

Boots wasn't open and my local shop only sells stupid expensive ones.

New grocery app, sains & waitrose only. I'll test it later with the jam offer.

WreckTangled · 10/10/2016 08:30

No more sick so far thankfully! Will be spending today doing cleaning and washing as seems to be my normal Monday routine now. Ds was awake a bit in the night for no reason but slept in until 7:45 and has eaten breakfast. I was running late too and only just remembered dd has forest school today! Looks like a sunny day so might get some stuff on the line...

Wow at your cat! What breed is it?

wilderness your cat is so big!

Mummyshortlegz · 10/10/2016 09:12

Good morning from Chucky.

I have ordered a moon cup to see if I can get on with that. Towels are making me sore now and I do try and avoid the scented ones.

I'm skipping swimming with Gabriel today as I still have this awful cold and I cannot face it. Feels very wasteful.

wreck phew!

I think there's an issue with our buyer. How do I stay calm and stress free? Sad think I might cry.

AGenie · 10/10/2016 09:56

Collie I know the feeling. Don't worry. If that buyer falls through, another one will come along right behind them. It will be okay. Let the estate agent and solicitor deal with the house and you concentrate on getting well.

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 10/10/2016 10:34

Collie it's really stressful but try and hold your nerve. It might not be as bad as you think.
Loads of house work done today.

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/10/2016 10:37

I don't think it's possible to stay calm when buying a house ☹️, the whole process is just awful.

AGenie · 10/10/2016 11:16

I think you're probably right Fluffy. I realise now how lucky we were that we were already renting the house that we bought, as it means we didn't have the expectation of a move to deal with as well. We also knew what was wrong with the house already, which helped.

Good luck collie

I've just cancelled sky. Feel a bit of a failure at life right now wrt money Blush

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/10/2016 12:50

Lots of people don't have sky. It's all free on 123 movies anyway.

Those sky boxes sell easily on eBay, it's cheaper to buy a working box than ring for the sky engineer if your box is playing up.

Hot uk deals lists offers on now tv boxes with sky channels included, they usually work out at

AGenie · 10/10/2016 12:50

wreck That's a big success, cancelling sky. I think definitely worthy of celebration.

I've read several articles in the newspapers about people with vast amounts of money coming in each month who can't make both ends meet, because they are paying £1000 or more a month to sky and they can't get it cancelled, no matter how hard they try.

The Sky helpdesk have lots of systems in place so that they bigger the customer, then longer they are put on hold when trying to cancel and some people just never manage it.

Well done! You just pulled off a major victory against big corporate wosname. WineStarStarStar
