We went for a walk on the beach and narrowly avoided being rained on. Look at this cloud monster

Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, twat, shit and bollocks. Dd has managed to spend £260 on a computer game, if it's not her I've been hacked. I've asked they will refund it so fingers crossed. Damm it.

Sorry for swearing.

AdoraBell · 16/10/2016 18:13

I thought I had wondered into a different thread there lifelong, perfectly acceptable words in your situation. Fingers crossed they will refund it.

NSD here, DDs have spent pocket money going out with friends.

Tomorrow I need to return what I ordered a week or so ago but should be another NSD.

Tryingtosaveup · 16/10/2016 18:31

Oh dear Lifelong, I do hope they will refund it. How old is DD?
Went for a lovely walk on the beach today with friend and her dog.
Just £3 on parking.

Shesgotelectricboobs · 16/10/2016 18:42

Oh dear lifelong I hope it all gets sorted.

Catface has progressed to letting me scratch behind her ears while eating with the spare room door (behind her food bowl) wide open. She was previously very wary of it.

#brave

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/10/2016 18:53

Well the game company are looking at it for me, looking at their refund policy we should be OK. Dd had just turned 9. She had always, always asked about game purchasing without fail so I'm surprised at this. Some we allow, most we don't.

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/10/2016 18:54

She is making good progress boobs. Have you thought about Halloween and bonfire for her. It can be scary times for some pets. Ddog wasn't arsed at all but I have seen others being really scared.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/10/2016 19:21

life well that's a hell of a lot of money on a game. How do these companies get away with it?

Cat face has remembered the correct wake up time for cats. We lock ours in the utility or I get 4:30 paw in the mouth. Yuck.

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/10/2016 19:26

It was in the online shop fluff. Gift vouchers and such like. Needless to say ALL passwords have been changed and PayPal one click is turned off.

CremeEggThief · 16/10/2016 19:46

OMG, Life!Shock Hope it gets sorted ASAP!

NeversellahouseCollie · 16/10/2016 20:29

This weeks plan is;

Monday: NSD
Tuesday: NSD
Wednesday: bus £3, boiler service £50 and weekly shop £65
Thursday: NSD
Friday: Beer budget £10

Really hoping for some legal progress this week!

Shesgotelectricboobs · 16/10/2016 20:46

life I've thought about bonfire but not Halloween. I think Halloween will be ok. We are in a flat and you can only get in after 6 if you have a key or ring the buzzer. And no kids in our side of the building.

For bonfire she should be ok. Where she is there is one window. There is a school opposite but it doesn't do fireworks. If she's sensible she'll stay where she is. If she moves to the living room we overlook a housing estate and they always have a ton of fireworks.

Someone suggested a thunder shirt for her. But I'd lose my face trying to get that on her. I'm partial to my face.

outfit picked for tomorrow. Bag packed and lunch made.

Ready to kick Monday's ass.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/10/2016 20:59

Our cat quite likes the fireworks, I think years of Dh playing call of duty immunised him to loud bangs.

Your not meant to comfort them either Confused, just carry on like the sky isn't exploding.

On Halloween he sits on the kitchen windowsill watching it all go on like wtf? The people around here really get into it though, one man bought a car wreck, smashed it up a bit and covered it with police tape and a dummy to look like a car crash victim.

Looking forward to his effort this year.

mammymammyIRL · 16/10/2016 21:34

Will catch up here tomo but just to let ye know I messaged Italian and she's housebound with pregnancy & her dh is doing to shopping & managing the finances so she doesn't feel right posting here. I assured her we all still want to hear from her. She's doing good Smile

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 16/10/2016 21:38

My cats hate the fireworks, girl cat esp gets really stressed but manages it by crawling under the sofa and staying there as much as possible. The only thing that truly terrifies boy cat is lawn mowers - he is a weirdo though Wink

Been a nice, quiet day Smile took dd to a friends this morning whose dd is doing maths A level to help her with her homework! Was good, she is much more patient that me Blush Have also been a recommended a website called 'Topmarks' which has a game on it called hit the button to help with times tables, had a look tonight and it seems perfect.

Had to get petrol that was £44 (gone up again Sad) and picked up a half price pizza for tea and some cheese £4.

My dad has given me a lovely bookcase for the living room - frugal win.

Shesgotelectricboobs · 16/10/2016 21:55

I Ann watching the crystal maze!!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 16/10/2016 22:05

I'm watching Father Ted Grin

Just spent £67 on Amazon on mainly Christmas presents and stocking fillers for dd. Had budgeted for this and waited until I had enough money to do it!

Shesgotelectricboobs · 16/10/2016 22:11

girlie I love father ted. Possibly my fave show.

I think my fave episode is the lovely horse.

Needastrongone · 16/10/2016 23:29

Ouch Life, fingers crossed that the game company will refund you. They are cunning sods, and make it very easy for kids to be duped. Hasn't happened to us thankfully, but that's very much luck than judgement I suspect.

Been to see Josh Widdicome at York tonight, who was very funny. Had a meal too, which cost £30 for me and the DC's share, but was really very nice indeed.

Needs to be a NSD or 3 next week.

8FencingWire · 17/10/2016 07:01

Awww, italian, don't be silly darling, come here and tell us how you're doing! Hope you'll feel better soon :)

Spent £33 in Lidl yesterday, £10 on petrol. I did get two pairs of trakkies for me and DD to lounge in though.
I have found the holy grail of stopping kids asking for crap. I had her direct debit card in my purse. So she wanted a movie and a candle and some silly carboard boxes for stationery. I said nothing, put it all on the conveyor belt, gave her her card, you know, casually. One of a sudden the cardboard box wasn't suitable Grin. I didn't make her pay for the trakkies because it's something she needs.
So I went £50-60 over budget this month. Aaarrrggh!!!

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/10/2016 07:20

Ah come and chat Italian.

Nsd planned today. The game company are looking into it

italian

I hope you're reading this and hope you're doing ok. If ever there was a time to embrace hygge maybe now is it.

I've got images of you surrounded by floofy blankets and in a nest of pillows and a log fire. if that's not the case please don't tell me

Should be nsd. My boss mentioned something about a client lunch today. I hope not although I do love a lunch mostly because said client is a booze hound. And I really want to get to the gym tonight. One or two wines I can cope with. Last time my glass was surreptitiously filled every time I wasn't looking.
