Going to the cinema this morning. Might pop into town to pound land and h&m will prob get macdonalds for lunch.

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/10/2016 07:17

Fab on the washer.
Very restrained on the metro centre. I can't seem to get out of there without spending hundreds do go rarely, though dd wants to spend her birthday money. (Build a bear, smiggle, Lego shop, h&m and I might fall into IKEA and lakeland) that's before clothes etc
V spendy day, £8 on night out as girls wouldn't let me buy a round as I gave lifts. £15 nandos that ds loved but dh hated
£25 Iceland, £45 aldi, £20 then £19.97 sainsburys. Won another 1500 points.
£80 asda but 50 of that is cash back for night out so still have £40 in my purse.
£60 butchers on 10lb each of mince and stew beef.
Need to fill my car today which will be £50 .
Then need to stop and reassess after dh pay day last Friday.

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/10/2016 07:50

Oops also £88 matalan

Ursulatodd · 16/10/2016 08:05

Ooh Matalan...haven't been there for a while!

I thought I'd been spendy at Lidl yesterday - £15.52 on pastries, fruit, juice etc. But then sent dh out yesterday afternoon to get a few bits for lunch today. His shopping list was carrots, broccoli, cheese, bottle of wine and something for pudding - maybe £20 max? Anyway he spent £70 Shock including a brilliant, but totally unnecessary, Halloween costume for DD. This is why I try to avoid having him shop!!

Wildernesstips · 16/10/2016 08:06

Met a friend for coffee yesterday £2.75. Discovered the craft area in The Range but managed to walk away without buying anything!

My Lego arrived yesterday. Not only did it have the free London bus, there was also a free Super Heroes Lego pack too!

Hoping to go for a nice autumnal walk today.

Wreck fingers crossed that you don't get it too. Glad you had a good night out.

Wildernesstips · 16/10/2016 08:07

Lol Ursula that is exactly what my DH is like!

allthebestplease · 16/10/2016 08:31

Morning, regarding house buying, we downsized to a smaller house and in the long run it will save us lots of money.
We have one more week till pay day and we've stuck to our budget and have been careful with all purchases, in fact we've not bought anything non-essential (no clothes, no toys, no treats, nothing!) and we have finally been able to save £600 (this was once childcare money, but didn't want to fritter it away like we did last month).
Avoiding the shops has helped, plus ive been reading lots of blogs and that's helped me be committed.

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/10/2016 09:01

Blimey wilderness that is restrained. Hats off to you

NeversellahouseCollie · 16/10/2016 09:09

Gotta do our weekly shop today. We bought 1/4 of it on Friday night so hopefully we can still stay within budget. I'm a bit discombobulated after last week.

I need some warm pyjamas and Sainsbury's have some and so do Aldi! I've never bought clothes from Aldi before and I'm quite tempted.

Going to a NT place today as they have a beach and an orchard. Smile

Shesgotelectricboobs · 16/10/2016 09:42

Catching up!

wreck I hope you stay clear of the lurgy lurg.

toaster nice work!

Yesterday's spends £25 riding - during which my instructor used me as the guinnea pig/show piece for the rest of the group - because I'm amazing obvs. #smug

£88 (!) on feliway refil and new diffuser for living room. And spray for my poor couch. The pet shop does a discount card. £10 one off cost and 5% off every time. Was worth it yesterday. My sister uses this particular and they will order in everything for you and bundle it and will deliver it if you need them to. So you only need to go once a month. Although cat food is cheaper on Amazon the incidentals (litter treats pee remover spray) are easier to just go and buy. And if they deliver that's my days of dragging a 30l bag of wood based cat litter up two flights of stairs to our flat.

Sold one of dh's coats on eBay yesterday too £15 in the pot.

Visited dm and she'd brought me two tops from primark and some socks and dh some Cornish beers from her trip to see gm.

We then cleared out dms wardrobe. And she sgoven me a few bits to eBay for her. Three brand new in box pairs of shoes. And some lovely Boden shirts and a few Monsoon cardigans. The woman had 11 black cardigans.

www.hotukdeals.com/deals/free-100-cosy-home-thermostat-kit-when-switch-energy-tariff-first-utility-2528903

£99 tcb, free smart thermostat & free installation.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 16/10/2016 09:58

Morning all Smile

Dd was fab in the carnival last night, there was tons of hanging about and it was freezing cold but the whole group did so well, very proud of them.

Spent £5 on drinks and chips.

Today need to pick up a few bits for pack lunches but thats it so hopefully not too spend....

8FencingWire · 16/10/2016 10:03

LSD yesterday, £1.50 on sweets.
Should be NSD today, hopefully.

NeversellahouseCollie · 16/10/2016 11:20

boobs mmmm Cornish beers

We won £7.50 in Nectar Points (2 different wins) which is fab! So my new Nectar balance is £25.50. We're saving it for a frugal and bleak January. My new goal is to reach £35 by New Year Smile

Historically DH gets paid before Christmas & it has to last for 6 weeks until the end of January. So the Nectar Points will help massively. Last January was drab.

Didn't buy pjs. Shop was over budget. Sad

Shesgotelectricboobs · 16/10/2016 11:31

I have...£0.95 nectar points!!

I signed up for a card to use with eBay. No where accepts them here.

Needastrongone · 16/10/2016 11:36

Just switched Fluffy, shame!

Well done on the Nectar points Collie. January is drab isn't it?

Great move toaster re the washing machine!

Pets are expensive aren't they Boobs (which I still can't believe I write each time...!)?

Cancelled the riding lesson for DD as it's tipping it down here and the pony will be soaked.

Going to see a comedian tonight and going out for tea. I'm WAY over budget for the week so I'm going to look at the finances now.

AGenie · 16/10/2016 11:39

Wilderness what did you do to get that free lego?

Shesgotelectricboobs · 16/10/2016 12:29

Haha need my next namechange is going to be even more hilarious.

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/10/2016 12:31

£8.34 the range.
Seen a living room carpet £500 and kitchen flooring for £1000. Living room first

Shesgotelectricboobs · 16/10/2016 12:33

But yes. Pets are expensive. She's totally worth it though. She gave me a meow and a purr this morning. We're still not quite at stroking. But everyday she's improving. --except for today when she came into our room at 430am and did the biggest meow in the world. She'd previously only gone "mew mew mew". This morning was a big booming "MEEEOOOW!!!" Frightened the bejesus out of me.

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/10/2016 12:51

crème if you don't get anywhere with sainsburys cs. If you want to post the voucher and your nectar card to me I will get them put on at one of the big sainsburys and send your card back to you. A stamp will be better value than your bus fare. Up to you

Wildernesstips · 16/10/2016 14:56

Agenie had to spend £50 for the Lego bus, but no idea why they put an extra freebie in - it just had a sticker on it saying free gift!

£21 Asda on coffee pods and cat litter.

Mild but blustery here so my washing is out to dry.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/10/2016 15:05

Yesterday was £6.50 in sains
Today £3.99 sealant because the frame around the loft hatch is emitting a Draught. It won't save much in heating costs but the landing will be more comfortable & that's important to. I think the house has moved and that's why a gaps opened up.
40p tomato purée.

Excellent news toaster. Hopefully it will be very cheap to run. I wash a lot of our clothes on cold now.

Shesgotelectricboobs · 16/10/2016 15:23

Have emptied the wardrobe. Properly cleaned it out. And have sorted more things for eBay/charity shop. Dh has been given my credit card. I am not buying any more clothes until at least Dec 1. I can do this. I can go 6 weeks without something new. (Except for maybe knickers and tights I might need those).

Am going to spend the next few weeks wearing the things I have. And seeing what I don't wear. All the stuff I don't wear will be ebayed in Dec.

Wrapped a jacket which sold £13.50. Yay! Will post tomorrow.

CremeEggThief · 16/10/2016 16:25

Oh thank you, Life, that's very kind of you. I've worked out I need to go past the big Sainsburys this week, so I'll pop in then.

NSD. Veggie roast dinner will be ready at 5, so looking forward to that.
