Morning, back to the working week. Hope everyone feels ok and errant kitty cats are back.
Good luck on the house front collie

Collieballs · 19/09/2016 07:29

Thanks everyone. Still trying to remain calm

cag I used to wear boys tops and girls bottoms. And boys shoes. She's right. Even back in the 90s it was all glitter, sequins, pink camo and "babe" slogans or similar. Hearts, shoes, cupcakes in abundance. Haha!
The boys section has cool stuff like stripes, skulls and dinosaurs.

wreck oh wow! Had no idea it was going to be a Sainsbury's TU sale! We need a few bits from there. Smile

WreckTangled · 19/09/2016 07:57

That's what word on the street is but I've yet to confirm

Mummyshortlegz · 19/09/2016 08:05

It's tomorrow I think? 20th

Ememem84 · 19/09/2016 08:12

Morning. Day at home for me today. Felt really sick all night. So am working from home today. Haven't thrown up but just feel it. Ick.

So should be nsd. Sad

WreckTangled · 19/09/2016 08:28

Oh is it? That's annoying as I'm going that way today!

Cagliostro · 19/09/2016 09:37

Thanks for the tip off about Sainsbury's! :)

And yes I remember 90s clothes too. I would say it's worse now but perhaps that's because I'm seeing it through a parent's eyes IYSWIM.

DH is running 3 sports clubs this week! Please think non-rainy thoughts. At least today the weather is fine, they've just left (I'm staying home).

Got my fingers crossed for Collie! :)

Cagliostro · 19/09/2016 09:37

Hope you feel better soon Em!

Collieballs · 19/09/2016 09:46

em hope you start to feel better soon!

We shall know more about the house this afternoon. The weather is gloomy and horrible :(

northender · 19/09/2016 09:50

Hope you feel better soon Em
Wreck I had battles with school about dd's reading in Y5&6. She hardly reads now as they made it such a joyless experience Sad. Now she's at high school and seems a lot happier, I'm hoping to reignite her enthusiasm.

Had a lovely time with my parents last night. The baked cheesecake I made was delish but the quantities in the recipe were somewhat dodgy and I've ended up with about a third of the mixture left over so I'm planning some mini cheesecake desserts for later.

Collieballs · 19/09/2016 10:18

north I love cheesecake. I could eat one for breakfast. Mmmmmmmmmm!

northender · 19/09/2016 10:43

Haha collie I'm thinking they won't last long!

happilyahousewife · 19/09/2016 11:42

Hi, I often read but hardly ever post.
Long chat with DH yesterday & as much as we love our little farm cottage, realistically it is too small, too much wrong with it that we aren't allowed to fix/change/they just aren't going to do & too isolated for the children.
So, we are now going to rein in spending & attempt to save the £25k needed for a deposit/associated fees to buy again.
So, I need to stop the 3/4 mid week shopping trips, buying things for the children just because & over spending on my horse, also not going to buy another horse which was on the cards next summer as we lost our girl to a ruptured intestine in Feb.
Single consistent wage, so its a big ask, but we will do it.

WreckTangled · 19/09/2016 13:20

Nsd.

Tryingtosaveup · 19/09/2016 13:36

Hello and welcome Happily....yes, you can do it
Collie, good luck , fingers and toes crossed
Hope you feel better soon, Em, And how is Millie
Cag, I am thinking warm, dry weather for your area
Lilac, any news of boy cat.
NSD yesterday 11th this month.
Probably have to spend today as travelling. At airport now.
Wreck, when mine were small it was bad at school about reading, but I honestly think it's worse now. At the end of the day she is your DD so I would tell the school what is happening, rather than have them tell you. I used to go in and say that myDCs were bored, which they were. The teachers are too harassed I think, that's the real issue.

Mummyshortlegz · 19/09/2016 13:52

Hooray I won a comp on here for a £265 love 2 shop voucher. Can't think what to do with it. Now I am a sahm I don't have my own money so this is lovely.

Nsd. Ds2 and I have been swimming and ds1 is at preschool.

CremeEggThief · 19/09/2016 14:10

Congratulations Mummy, that's a great prizeSmile.

Welcome to happily.

Any news yet, Collie? Fingers crossed!

NSD so far, but I need to pay for Pilates and get a few things we need before the online shop gets here on Thursday later.

WreckTangled · 19/09/2016 14:23

Cagliostro · 19/09/2016 14:44

Excellent news mummy

Nsd do far but going to aldi tonight maybe, if I can be arsed

Ememem84 · 19/09/2016 15:50

Congrats mummy!

Nsd.

I'm feeling a bit better. Less sick yay!

Spent the day fielding emails from the couch and watching gossip girl.

Millie is doing ok. Just coaxed her from under her chair with dreamies. We sat and looked at each other for a bit then she spooked and went back in.

ItalianWiking84 · 19/09/2016 15:54

Agenie: yeah it's pretty amazing. They have 8 great great grand children, and still manages to remember them all and love seeing them. They are old tho but live in protected housing so feels a bit like they still live independently.
Wreck: very sweet of up to organize a baby shower for your friend. We don't have them here which kinda suits me nicely. In general we believe it brings back luck to buy or receive anything for a baby before its born. After its born it then gets spoiled hi hi. That's also why our pram is still standing in the store, we will first pick it up after baby dd is born.

Love all the kitty pics, dd and our cat are currently sharing bed at night, unsure who loves it most Grin does mean I'm changing her bedding everyday but when I see them curled up together it's all worth it. And dd haven't had s nightmare since.

Going in to work tomorrow morning with brekkie before officially starting my maternity leave, won't be back for a year Shock Grin spent I think around 50£ in total on the food bits...
Have put our old bouncers up for sale and a breast pump set, hope it'll sell...

Food plan
Today chicken cheese with veggies and pasta
Tuesday: rye bread (gym day)
Wednesday Gullahs
Thursday Danish meatloaf
Friday fake take away pizza
Saturday Danish soup
Sunday baptism day so will just grap some bread if any is hungry when we get home
