Hi everyone :) £12 on a topup shop today at the local shop, some yellow sticker bargains. Feeling a bit stressed out today, not sure why. DH and I are being grumpy with each other. Think we need a little lunch date or something away from the DCs as they have been quite full on lately. I have an interview tomorrow for a new job Shock not too worried about the interview (although I must go have a look at some material for it) but then the big decision to make if I get it about whether to jump ship. Playing on my mind a lot lately. Havent done very well frugaleering this month but will limp through to the end and reassess. Savings arent really growing at the min, most months end up putting cash in then bringing it out again... budget is probably where we're falling down. Feeling a bit glum today really. Im sure a Wine will help lol

ItalianWiking84 · 12/07/2016 23:00

Glad to hear your feeling better babs.

CremeEggThief · 12/07/2016 23:13

Best of luck for tomorrow, Blue.

Glad you're feeling better now, Babs.

Sierra259 · 12/07/2016 23:14

Italian I think there's 2for1 at Legoland on some of the Cadbury range atm. Definitely Freddo bars, but I'm sure I saw something on the sharing bags too?

Tryingtosaveup · 12/07/2016 23:23

Cag, that reminds me, did you ever manage to get a local beekeeper to come to your home ed group with bees? If not tell me the area you live and I will try and get someone to do it. I know a lot of beekeepers and they usually don't mind.

Toberich · 12/07/2016 23:25

Hi can I join ? Frugal all week bringing lunch to work...

Ursulatodd · 13/07/2016 06:26

Rat man due back this morning but nothing caught in traps so far Confused my life seems one of extremes atm - pest control on one side, buying our swanky new car on the other! (we're getting an S-Max to the person who asked - not 'new' but a '63 plate so very new compared to our current 12 year old run-around!) money seems to be draining away from us as we desperately try to get things done before the babies arrive - I'm looking forward to being on maternity leave and having time to shop around and not be rushed into spending on convenience.

babsmam · 13/07/2016 06:31

Hi tob.

Feeling fine this morning.
Ooh exciting times blue. Good luck.
It was me who asked Ursula. We looked at the s max too. Maybe next time

Ursulatodd · 13/07/2016 07:14

Oh babs then you'll understand why I'm feeling a bit Sad at the price Shock! I just keep repeating to myself 'it's an investment, it will last for years'.

babsmam · 13/07/2016 07:26

Definitely Ursula. Low running costs and parts were my positives. They are eye watering to buy though.

SnugglySnerd · 13/07/2016 07:28

Sorry to hear about the bee sting. One stung me once and it randomly swelled up a year after the stinging!
Need to buy conditioner and curl creme today which involves going into town as our local Boots is a small one with a small range. I might have a little look in H&M at tops and cardies if DD will put up with it! She saves me a lot of money when she gets bored in shops!!

ItalianWiking84 · 13/07/2016 07:30

Sierra: I'm in Denmark so no Cadbury Blush but have some 241 tickets from a local juice producer. Will still be expensive though. They also wanna see some palaces, HCA house and the little mermaid sigh

Badders123 · 13/07/2016 08:05

I am very proud I resisted the Amazon prone day...I hit very close up buying the DC some books but then decided money for hols next week is more important
So tired
Not sleeping well at all
Sad
Hoping the new roof blinds will be going up tomorrow Grin
Both DC shattered, children at school shattered so being vile, so much to do before Saturday!!!
Roll on Friday!!

Sierra259 · 13/07/2016 08:32

Good luck with the interview today blue

italian I see, the original Legoland! Grin DH has been impatiently waiting for DC1 to be old enough to take as he's a big Lego fan. I think he'd love to work for them, especially after the documentary they showed over here last year about the company! Denmark is also on my list of places to visit (when I have more money and bigger children). My sister did a few Scandinavian city breaks last year and made me Envy.

We're popping into town today. DC1 is at nursery so am taking DH out for his birthday and there's a few essentials we need to pick up too. Have a good day everyone!

ItalianWiking84 · 13/07/2016 14:23

Hi hi yeah the original Lego land Grin

SnugglySnerd · 13/07/2016 16:07

Bought some clothes this morning, DD was whining so I didn't try them on until this afternoon. All hideous and need to go back except for the socks. So I suppose that's a frugal win!

CremeEggThief · 13/07/2016 16:48

NSD. Busy, busy, with stripping, washing, drying, putting away and re-making both beds, washing sofa throws, vacuuming and packing for our holiday on Friday. Might have a quick snooze before making dinner.

lilacclery · 13/07/2016 17:08

ursula your new car is a need too not just a want Smile

Unescorted · 13/07/2016 18:21

Hi All - so much news.

Blue hope today went OK Smile

tob welcome

The car had to go infor a service this week - it came back clean so well chuffed. I had been thinking of getting someone to do it for me because I so hate cleaning cars and there seems to be a lack of boy scouts. I am now wondering if I can book it in for its annual service once a month. Not sure thhe lease co will approve.

We had our much anticipated restructure announced this week - there aren't enough jobs for the people that we have which is a little worrying.

babsmam · 13/07/2016 19:07

Oh that's worrying unescorted. Might some people be offered a package and want to go?

SnugglySnerd · 13/07/2016 19:22

Unescorted I sometimes take the car to one of those hand car washed. They do a basic clean for £4 and more for things like waxing. They'll do a full valet for a reasonable price, cheaper than a full service!
New series of Eat Well For Less tonight - hurrah!

blueteapot · 13/07/2016 20:03

Thanks for the good wishes guys, think it went ok but not convinced I actually want the job! Will see what happens now should hear over the next few days.

Eat well for less new series is on guys!

blueteapot · 13/07/2016 20:06

Snap snuggly :)

£84 at tescos, seems a lot but we needed a load of bits that we buy less often so not too bad.

Bad luck on the bee sting babs :(
.
Happy new car ursula :) we bought an efficient car last year and it is paying for itself!

Badders123 · 13/07/2016 20:08

Oh dear ....frugal fail
Next sale - I spent £120 😱
But for that got loads of stuff for dc, me and a new shower curtain 😂

babsmam · 13/07/2016 20:11
