Collie, how the hell are you?Grin

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 28/07/2016 10:45

Morning all, the wardrobe has just been delivered it is an absolute beast!! The man told me it is a Ducal Victoria which apparently is a good make so pleased with that. The plan is to clean it up and paint it, will hopefully look amazing by the time I am finished with it.......

Am planning on spending a fortune today, going to make a large dent in the £500 cashback I got with the mortgage, buying a new telly plus other stuff for the house will prob spend near on £300!!

Am enjoying a much needed day off, work has been ridiculously hectic my manager has gone off with stress and the team is now so depleted that there is actually no one from our team in today Shock Can't remember a time when staffing has been so bad but thats what happens when people leave and you don't replace them. Hopefully the powers that be may start taking notice now Hmm

Colliefeatures · 28/07/2016 10:49

italian sounds awfully uncomfortable but congrats on the pregnancy :)

creme I am very well thank you. hope you are too. We're planning a trip up to Durham soon. Probably in the Autumn!

My main frugaleering news is that I've dropped a dress size and now I'm able to wear my pre pregnancy clothes again. Opening the box of smaller clothes was like Christmas.

Colliefeatures · 28/07/2016 10:50

girlie so so exciting to hear about your new house!!

WreckTangled · 28/07/2016 11:09

Yay collie!

I've had a novutan spray tan before and it was really nice.

Glad the house is going well girlie.

I've just been to asda and spent £58 HmmShock

Jeans for me as all mine are too big I'm down to 8.5st Grin
Pinafore and skirt for dd
Pizzas for dinner tomorrow as I'm working late and forgot
Coffee
Cookies and gingerbread men
Birthday card
Ingredients to make cookies
Magazine, flowers, maltesers and cordial for my friend who's pregnant and really struggling with her Ds who is autistic she hasn't been able to leave the house.

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/07/2016 11:58

Ah let us know if you need help planning collie as I'm up that way too. Am I right in thinking you or Dh have family this way? Check you out losing weight.
8.5 stone wreck, I can only dream of less than 10 , well done you.

£40 sainsburys. Was going to garden today but it's raining.

SnugglySnerd · 28/07/2016 12:26

Yay! Welcome back, Collie! I was just thinking about you the other day and wondering how you were doing. Also Laska who we haven't seen for a while.
Had a very frustrating trip to the shops earlier to get DD a swimming costume. Went in Mothercare, Next and Boots and only found one in her size. I know I'm a bit late for summer shopping (which annoys me too, I should be able to buy summer clothes in the summer) but surely children need swimming costumes at other times of year? Incidentally there were loads of winter coats in the shops!
Anyway, swimming costume was £30, spent a tenner on a car charger for my phone, £7 insect repellent and £6 on a reed diffuser thing as I think the house is starting to smell a bit of cat in the warm weather.
It's now pissing down with rain so will probably do some baking this afternoon.

WreckTangled · 28/07/2016 12:52

Thanks life. I'm quite petite so I'm still wobbly Hmm not skinny. I'm expecting my weight to go up as I tone up though, if I ever manage to.

I was going to make soup for lunch but no tinned tomatoes which is annoying as its usually something I always have in.

WreckCat had another tick! I have bought a remover but it'll take two of us to hold him still!

WreckTangled · 28/07/2016 12:53

Snuggly I agree. Dd wanted some vest tops and we couldn't find any it's ridiculous! The clothing seasons shouldn't change until September.

Ememem84 · 28/07/2016 13:11

collie hi!!!

Ok guys. Without scaring me like you did last time I'm not pregnant any reasons for dizziness? I've just gone a bit dizzy wierd again at work. Am on lunch and am sat on the couch in the break room. Nice. Have a sandwich and a full fat Fanta. And a bar of chocolate. I've had breakfast. And no more or less to eat than normal.

I'have a gp appointment on Monday anyway so will mention this again.

Do any of you get dizzy around ovulation time? This according to google is a thing. But so is dizziness after and during sinus infection/ear thing. Which I've had recently too.

le sigh.

Ememem84 · 28/07/2016 13:12

£6.55 on food for lunch.

WreckTangled · 28/07/2016 13:25

I have fairly low bp and sometimes get dizzy.

Cagliostro · 28/07/2016 13:28

COLLIE!!! Hello! :o

Em is your blood pressure low perhaps? What kind of dizziness is it - if it's like the 'head rush' feeling when you stand up too fast, BP is a likely culprit. If it's more like head swimmy feeling (like when you turn your head and your brain doesn't catch up) then may be an inner ear thing/labyrinthitis.

needastrongone · 28/07/2016 13:34

Waves energetically too at Collie as well as Girlie Smile

I second the sound advice Cag gives about BP Em.

Now I have showered the spray tan is super. Not a streak or mark, and very natural. Feeling polished as the hairdresser has straightened my hair too Smile

Ememem84 · 28/07/2016 13:43

It's more a swimmy head feeling. Which makes sense as I have had a sinus/ear infection. I'll mention is again to gp when I go on Monday. Sigh.

My ears feel all blockedy. Eugh.

(My brain hasn't caught up for weeks....)

BertieTodd · 28/07/2016 14:10

Em - That sounds pretty unpleasant, hope it passes soon and your GP is helpful next week.

I spent €14 in shop in the end.

And just bought a new bikini online in my lunch break, spent €35, essential pre hols expenditure, and I have to buy decent bikinis i.e. ones that come in bra sizes, as I'm 32D so a standard size 8 or 10 bikini won't fit me properly. Had to pay shipping too, so I hope it's a good fit when it arrives.

Whataboutwhathuh · 28/07/2016 14:14

Reading but not keeping up much at the moment.

I set up YNAB yesterday. I'm confused by lots of things on it and my account balance doesn't reconcile with the number on the screen and I can't work out why. Doesn't help that Santander have been having massive issues all day so I can't get on.

BertieTodd · 28/07/2016 15:03

I've signed up to YNAB too whatabout, I haven't tried to tie it to my bank accounts yet though, am happy using it separately for now. I like it so far, it's definitely making me think more about exceeding my budget for a particular area when I know I have to reduce my budget for another area accordingly, rather than dipping into the 'float money' that's sitting in the a/c.

Whataboutwhathuh · 28/07/2016 15:08

I haven't linked mine, it wouldn't accept my details. But on the transaction page it says my balance should be one figure and it isn't. I'm upgrading my laptop but once it is finished I'll add it up.

WreckTangled · 28/07/2016 15:10

I've made oat and raisin cookies. They're massive and awesome

Tryingtosaveup · 28/07/2016 16:15

Hello Collie
I hope you are ok Italian
I have very low blood pressure....really low, and I too get dizzy occasionally. But, Em it does sound like an inner ear thing. Apparently the inner ear is the organ of balance.
Spend your day here but necessary stuff....diesel £63.40 ....but car was empty, tomato feed £6.13. I got the large one in B&Q because everywhere else has stopped selling it til next year. It's like the summer clothes thing. They are one season out all the time.
And £4.20 on eggs from the hen man and a cup of tea.

Tryingtosaveup · 28/07/2016 16:17

Wreck those cookies sound le yum. Any chance of the recipe. My DGD is coming to stay next week and she loves cooking.

Colliefeatures · 28/07/2016 16:36

Such a cool welcome back! Thanks everyone Grin

wreck those cookies sound gorgeous. I haven't baked since January Blush

Our shopping has crept up to roughly £75 a week. It used to be between £55 -£65 a week. I've become slack and too relaxed. We haven't got much to show for the extra money spent either. I could totally understand if we had been buying alcohol, fancy meals and magazines but we haven't. wish we had been though

I'm going to do a meal plan tonight for next week.

WreckTangled · 28/07/2016 16:58

It's from the hummingbird bakery book but I found it online https://bakemehappyblog.wordpress.com/2013/10/18/oat-and-raisin-cookies/

Ememem84 · 28/07/2016 17:36

wreck yum. I love those cookies. I also love hummingbird bakery cookbook. I may need a new one as mine is so well used the ones are starting to stick together. With frosting and cake mix etc... Yum.

Dizziness passed. Wierd. Have drunk a shit ton of water this afternoon, and have had a bar of chocolate and fruit. Just in case it's blood sugar/blood pressure/dehydration related. I'm leaning carefully towards inner ear thing. I had an ear/sinus infection at the beginning of the month. And I know sometimes they can take a while to clear.

Am going to do the old sinus rinse when I get home. Fun. this evenings plan is to have dinner, sinus rinse then binge watch orange is the new black on Netflix. Then go to bed and try and read a bit more of Stephen Kings needful thongs. It's horrendously scary.
