Ok I've read back five pages or so.
Trying sorry to hear about your windscreen
. It's bad enough paying for all the anticipated bills without extra expenditure on top of them.
Welcome home Creme
Italian good luck with your pram shopping. Sorry to hear you're having such a tough pregnancy but at least it's only temporary and you'll have a lovely baby to look forward to at the end of it all (fingers crossed you'll have a safe and healthy pregnancy and delivery). Your date night sounded fun.
Fluffy well done on your super cheap coffee grinder
Wreck the M&S card was a nice surprise. Thanks for sharing the cookie recipe. Last time I made cookies, the cookie mix expanded rapidly and the cookies all ran into each other. I ended up with one giant rectangular cookie
. It still tasted good though, after I broke it up into cookie fragments.
need have a lovely holiday
Likewise Snuggly. Hope you have a fun camping trip. Did you find Marie Kondo good? I read a bit of a thread about her methods but some people felt that her suggestions were more suitable for a single person living in a tiny apartment than a family house full of kids clutter. I might see if I can borrow the book from a library. Seasonal clothing is very frustrating. I remember shopping for a warm cardigan for DD one April and I couldn't find one anywhere because the fashion buyers had decided that April was the start of summer (in Ireland!!!!) so the shops were all full of summery tops and shorts etc.
Cag you were asking about The Book of Kells. After you pay your entrance fee, you walk through a room full of display stands with information about the book. For example, one stand has information about the materials they used to make the book. When you walk past the stands, you enter a small, dimly lit area with a display cabinet. You can see two of the volumes - one has text and one has an illustrated page. Then you move on to the Long Room which is very impressive. There are thousands of old books but they're all roped off so you can't touch them or read them. You can also see the Brian Boru harp in the Long Room. The gift shop there was particularly good and I was very tempted by some notebooks with lovely Celtic designs on them. But they were very much 'want' items rather than 'need' items, so I walked away. We spent enough on admission fees, transport and food over the few days.
Welcome back Bertie
Em your comment about going 'off piste' in the supermarket made me laugh. I'm sure you meant 'off list'. But I was picturing you doing your shopping in a ski suit and skis.
Collie that's a fantastic achievement with your weight loss
Girlie welcome back to cyberspace. What's your new house like i.e. how many rooms? Is it new or second hand? Apart from the wardrobe, have you any plans to do up some of the rooms?
