£10 co op hungry kids post club as not a big enough packed lunch. Frugal fail

ItalianWiking84 · 25/07/2016 19:05

What a nice waiter adora. Sorry about your toe tho, Flowers

SnugglySnerd · 25/07/2016 19:08

Almost managed NSD Monday apart from the £1.70 I spent this morning.
Been at the park all afternoon, I hope this nice weather lasts as it's much easier and cheaper to entertain DD.

WreckTangled · 25/07/2016 19:14

Cag have you ever taken the dc to Arundel?

Tryingtosaveup · 25/07/2016 19:58

Yay, NSD Monday here as well.
It was very hard as I went for a swim at my new gym and was starving when I came out, and the cafe looked inviting. There were lots of healthy looking sandwiches ( I'm not so sure they were healthy really ) and tea, coffee etc. and all the newspapers were there to read so I was tempted to have a cup of tea, a sandwich and sit and read the paper.
But I couldn't because I would have had to come on here and own up. So I resisted.
I had home grown tomatoes and cucumber for lunch with hard boiled eggs and tuna salad for dinner.
My windscreen cracked on Friday when a stone was thrown up by a lorry so I need to get it repaired. It's £100 xs on my insurance policy😥

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/07/2016 20:27

As long as it's not obscuring your view you don't have to fix it straightaway.

North Are you ok?

Wreck It might be your oven.

£7 top up shop.

CremeEggThief · 25/07/2016 20:30

We don't want to go home tomorrow! Sad

Gorgeous photo! Envy

Yes we went to Arundel a few years ago when they had one of their jousting festival thingies. In fact, it was 4 years ago today! How weird :) I know it sounds odd that I remember that, but it's because when I was there I started feeling really rough. Which turned out to be the start of all this CFS/fibro crap. Woke up the next day unable to move. So I do have negative associations with it - silly as it was really a beautiful place! :)

I got the tree tea party thing :) thank you for thinking of me! :)

We've sorted out loads of stuff today. Hopefully some toys will sell on FB.

Great photo creme where abouts are you?

cag I don't know where arundel is. But it sounds like somewhere out of game of thrones. Or Lord of the rings. Love a bit of jousting though.

There was this show on challenge tv a while ago - full metal jousting I think. Was ace. Proper all American beefcakes got knighted up and jousted. Some serious smashing injuries.

Cagliostro · 25/07/2016 21:13

Lots of people think it's out of Frozen as the city there is Arandelle :o it's in Sussex, it's beautiful with a castle etc.

You go to France a lot don't you? Ever been to Carcassonne? That is my favourite place in the world. Especially at night, seeing it all lit up, it's really like a fairytale. :)

WreckTangled · 25/07/2016 21:19

The jousting is this week but next Tuesday they have a history day at the castle I'm thinking of going. I'm pleased you enjoyed it as the reason I asked is because I thought it would be somewhere you'd like Smile my sister got married in the town hall and my dad has been to dinner at the castle with loads of lords etc!

Ememem84 · 25/07/2016 21:52

No - never been to carcassone. But it's in my list. We never seem to make it past the Brittany border.

I love a castle though. One of my faves is fort la latte in normandie. Also mont orgueil here in jersey.

ItalianWiking84 · 25/07/2016 22:08

Trying to find a pram that I like and is adorable, oh so difficult Hmm and they are so pricy so looking at second hand which just makes it more difficult I think

ItalianWiking84 · 26/07/2016 07:07

So negotiating about 2 prams right now, I dont wanna go out looking if I don't know if they'll accept my price first... Otherwise I'm going picnicking with dd and a friend and her ds today, got some bits for the picnic, came to £15. Should be nsd else

WreckTangled · 26/07/2016 07:12

I'm at work so should be a nsd. Didn't want to get up this morning, no one else will be in for about forty minutes so I might just had a snooze...

SnugglySnerd · 26/07/2016 07:23

Supermarket this morning. We need cat food so I might take DD to Pets at Home to see the rabbits etc. Also need to get her a doctor's appointment for her eczema.

Ememem84 · 26/07/2016 08:07

Hoping for nsd. I've had my GP fees reimbursed to me from my medical insurance so that's £40 paid into my credit card. Balance is reducing. Slowly.

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/07/2016 08:30

My new gym opens today so off to try a body pump class. No other spends than holiday club planned.
Is there a pram shop near you Italian? Can you go and play with a load. Not sure how it works where you are.

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/07/2016 09:06

I've been doing lots of surveys & had enough nectar points to get the coffee grinder I wanted for £4.49. I used an offer on the nectar app to get a third of points used back so I should get £10 back to spend again.

Now I can buy the cheap espresso beans in aldi instead of searching for the nearest lavazza offer.

trying Your with gb power too aren't you? I've just signed up to their fixed rate tariff, it was still the cheapest on mse energy club.

Where is need??

CremeEggThief · 26/07/2016 09:14

I think Need is in Florida.

We fly home today.😢

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/07/2016 09:37

You never want to go home do you?. At least you had a good time.

SnugglySnerd · 26/07/2016 09:46

Bargain, fluffy!
£42 on weekly shop. Very happy with that!!

CremeEggThief · 26/07/2016 10:19

A fantastic time, Fluffy. I would thoroughly recommend Crete to everyone. The people are so welcoming and friendly here.Smile.

ItalianWiking84 · 26/07/2016 12:02

Life: yeah we been to some baby stores and I defn have an idea of what I want but all I show dh he is turning down Angry

Whataboutwhathuh · 26/07/2016 12:37

Spent my morning doing new budget spreadsheets and spending trackers. Hoping this will be the month that I nail things down hard. I've worked out the cost of preschool and swimming for the year and putting that money away each month. The bills are every six / seven weeks so hard to work into the budget otherwise.
