Thank you Smile

Did MIL like the nails?

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/07/2016 19:07

I think so. It takes a lot of practice though and I think I put it too near here skin so it might fail Sad

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/07/2016 19:12

I did French. I'll be charging more for French because you HAVE to drink gin afterwards.

For the stress.

Cagliostro · 17/07/2016 19:17

Yay well done Need family! :) Star

Lilac treating yourself sounds like a great plan. Well done for doing that. How are you finding the Kondo book?

Lovely afternoon - bimbled around st Malo did a bit of shopping (new cidre cups for winter and some sausages).

Then had crepes for lunch (crepe a la tarteflette bloody love tarteflette) and a beer.

Hopped on the boat at 5 and home by 630. Yippee. Lovely weekend. Back to normal now.

needastrongone · 17/07/2016 20:14

Lovely nails fluffy, super.

CremeEggThief · 17/07/2016 20:25

Beautiful, FluffySmile.

Hurrah for DD and the pony, Need.Star

Is it Kynren, Babs?

babsmam · 17/07/2016 20:34

Certainly is crème. Better support the town I spent my teenage years in

CremeEggThief · 17/07/2016 20:44

Let me know what you think. Hope you enjoy it. I'd like to take DS, but as he's going to be away most of August, it's looking like the end of it, if we can still get tickets!

babsmam · 17/07/2016 20:54

Will do. I know a few people who have been and not heard bad reviews from them. One person has been twice.

lilacclery · 17/07/2016 21:00

Fluffy I love the way you didn't do really thick white tips it looks really natural

Em sounds like a lovely weekend away

Cag I did my tidying before looking at Marie Kondo book. I probably have kept too much but there's stuff moving out the front door to charity shop & back door to bin so it's a good start

I'd a good afternoon, tidied & sorted, reading while I ate my lunch, went for a run, came back & put out two loads of washing & cleaned out dogs yard, visited some neighbours to arrange a women's night out & am now going to watch some emmerdale(I'm 8 weeks behind) and have some supper .

Piratefairy78 · 17/07/2016 21:07

Hi all, can I join you please?

I've been lurking for a while so feel I know most of you already!! We've just finished some building work and costs seem to be going a bit out of control. That combined with the fact it's the school holidays soon make me not want to make sure I keep an eye on everything. Posting on here may make me more accountable IYSWIM.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/07/2016 21:13

Welcome pirate. Which areas can you cut back on?.

CremeEggThief · 17/07/2016 21:13

Sounds great, Lilac. Well done for taking control.Star

Wow, twice, Babs? That's a good endorsement. It's not cheap after all.Wink

Welcome, PirateBrewCake.

Ememem84 · 17/07/2016 22:02

Hi pirate welcome!

Good job ipso

fluffy nails are lovely

need well done Dd and pony

Just checked bank account And immediately regretted it. Payday is on Thursday thank god!

We have food in the house so I can make lunch tomorrow. Dh will do a shop on Tuesday.

My sister owes me £200 for hotel and dinner last night. We split the cost for mum and dad. She can't pay me until the end of the month when she gets paid. But that's ok. She's set the payment up ready to go.

I have a few bits which can go back to the shop and something sold on eBay tonight. Only £2.50 but every little helps.

Usually I'd cash my euros back in but seems pointless as I'm off to Italy in about a month. So may as well keep hold of them.

I need to buy anniversary cards and a birthday card this week. But am pretty sure that I have a free voucher thing on my paperchase card. So will use that.

Need fruit too. Have a m&s gift card to use so will utilise that for naice fruit.

And as its meant to be hot hot hot tomorrow will be walking to and from work. saving on petrol (of which were running low) and parking cards.

Tryingtosaveup · 17/07/2016 22:54

Well done Ipsos and littleIpsos. 5k is actually a long way. And you faced your demons.
Lila...I think it's great that you went out and treated yourself. Why not. Hope DH sorts himself out.
Well done Need and little Need and pony Need. Post a pic of the sash.
LSD just water and sandwich on the motorway. Annoyed at myself for not taking snacks. Trouble is I don't think of it unless I am hungry
Cag, I an trying to get a beekeeper in your area to bring bees to one of your home ed groups or arrange for you to take DCs to an apiary. Will let you know.

WreckTangled · 18/07/2016 06:32

So apparently I can get an Irish passport as my grandad is Irish. I think I might do that.

WreckTangled · 18/07/2016 07:08

So yesterday I got a bit drunk and told dd she could skip school today and go to the beach so that's what we're doing. Yesterday was a nsd. Today will be £7 parking and I might have to buy a few bits for lunch but I'll do my best to scrape something together from home.

Whataboutwhathuh · 18/07/2016 08:26

First day of the school holidays here. Preschool finished last week, last swimming this morning. Ds1 will still be doing a Thursday and a Friday morning at nursery. Hoping to have a low key and low spend 7 weeks.

DontLetMeLetYouGo · 18/07/2016 08:47

Morning!

Today should be a LSD day.
Yesterday I paid £40 off my credit card then put aside £100 into a separate bank account for DS birthday.

I'm going to buy some surgical spirit from the chemist.

I've booked a dr appt for two weeks time. I think my ferritin levels are low (4). It explains alot as I've been losing hair like there's no tomorrow for a while, fatigued, chronic headaches/migraines etc. I want it sorted now though :(

Im then going to phone up recruitment and set a start date for my new job and get the ball rolling.

Ive an appointment to have my implant removed later. I can't wait to be free of it.

Then I have work at 4.

Babs I love Skipton. When is the food festival? I'd love to go there again one day but avoided it because of past memories. I think it's time I moved on though because I truly loved it.

ipsogenix · 18/07/2016 09:48

Thanks for the encouragement on the race. :-) Ds is still chuffed with his medal for running, and I'm still chuffed with my medal for not running away. GrinGrin

I'm having some frugaleer breakthroughs here.

I keep getting quotes for garden work and gradually realising that it's so expensive that it would really be better to keep the garden as it is. I really didn't expect that. Smile

Also from using my energy monitor I've realised that I would actually save money by using the washing machine more intelligently, rather than less often. Currently I age clothes too quickly by bunging them together in big batches with some items on slightly wrong settings. I think I would actually save money by taking better care of the clothes, even if it means an extra 20 minute cycle here and there.

The big bonus of this is that by washing my own trousers on a 20 minute cycle and hanging them up, I find that they don't shrink, and then I can breathe properly while wearing them. Big bonus!

WreckTangled · 18/07/2016 10:16

£6.50 parking £7 in the garage on supplies

I can't think of a witty title, so here is July's Frugaleer Thread! All welcome.
Tryingtosaveup · 18/07/2016 10:47

Hope you're feeling a bit better Don't. You really need to look after yourself. It's not optional. So often we look after everybody else and put ourselves last.
Well, you are important. You need looking after. Hope you're having a better time.
Wreck...I love it! They w on't be doing anything in school now anyway.
Welcome Pirate.
I'm still chuckling at " le yum"
