I'm at work. Was -3.5 when I left home. Probably nsd.

Ememem84 · 08/03/2016 07:18

Do not feel dizzy today!!! Yippee!!! Full of snot though Sad

Should be nsd.

lilacclery · 08/03/2016 08:01

Will I be cruel & get dd up for school? She's not sick enough to stay home. Or soft & let her stay home like she wants to?

fuzzpig · 08/03/2016 08:37

You sound relieved Em :o although sorry about the snottiness! [lemsip]

Wolf that sounds scrummy.

I would say a day at home is a good idea lilac but I am somewhat biased! Blush

Need to find my wallet, haven't left the house since Thursday and have no idea where it is Blush

needastrongone · 08/03/2016 09:06

lila I do think there's a difference between your DD feeling better in the house and doing a full day at school. And you lot know I am a 'hands off' parent. Grin

How do you feel then Em? Did you POAS?

I am at home today, so big tidy up. Also to menu plan. Will be back soon with my menu plan, which I am sure you will all be excited to read Grin

needastrongone · 08/03/2016 09:07

Abel and Cole have refunded £3.69 for some mouldy 'bake at home' bread.

I need petrol, which will be £60 approx, full tank.

needastrongone · 08/03/2016 09:32

Menu plan (revised from earlier in week)

Mary Berry Garlic Mushroom Penne Gratin.
Mary Berry Malay Fried Rice.
Stuffed Peppers.
Smoked mackerel and leek risotto.
SC Harissa Beef and chickpeas
Mary Berry Sticky Chicken.
Sausage and veg tray bake.
Chicken and fennel with leek (Nigel Slater) or Nigella chicken traybake with orange and fennel.
Cauili flower cheese baked potato.
Chowder.

I've got others I want to try too, will save for next week. I have all the ingredients in for the above, and am trying to run the stocks down a bit.

I have a £40 shop coming from Morrisons, this is sandwich type stuff and cleaning/washing items and the like.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 08/03/2016 09:50

Loving all the Mary Berry recipes Need Grin sound yummy! You are much more adventurous than me, I am somewhat curtailed by fussy dd though!

Pointless eww gross - flipping cats are such a pain! I had to separate mine last night which didn't go down with either of them (although they pretend to not like each other they do really Wink) and boy cat still didn't pee in his special tray

Lila did she have a temp ystd? I like dd to be temp free at least 24 hours before I send her back.

Fuzz going to inbox you! Smile

I'm day off today, plan is to clear up a bit, take some bits to the charity shop and possibly pick dd a new school sweat shirt. No there spends planned....

Pointlessfan · 08/03/2016 09:55

Your meals sound lovely need.
Frugal fail, forgot to put the shopping bags back in the car after I went to the tip so had to pay for carrier bags.
Shopping was £61 and I got loads for that. Meal plan is based on things that are easy while workman is here:
Today: Macaroni and broccoli cheese
W: Veggie chilli
Th: Pasta with peppers
Fr: Leftover chilli with jacket potatoes
Sat: Chippy lunch, probably veg curry for tea
Sun: Freezer/leftovers
Mon: freezer/leftovers
Need to get a few cleaning bits from the pound shop later.

needastrongone · 08/03/2016 10:06

I have teens, for all those with fussy eaters, they absolutely do grow out of it, promise Smile

If anyone can afford Mary Berry Absolute Favourites, sold on Amazon, I promise it's worth your while. No silly ingredients and lots of meals for families, things you can make in advance etc.

DH has just phoned with details of his agreed dividend payment for the year, as we are getting close to year end and it's been an exceptional year, really chuffed for him. He deserves the financial reward. It's absolutely not about that for him, he's more interested in being 'the best' business it can be quality wise, but it's a reflection of the amount of 'himself' he gives.

needastrongone · 08/03/2016 10:07

I think you plan sounds lovely too pointless, I quite fancy a 'chippy lunch' now myself!

CremeEggThief · 08/03/2016 10:38

Yummy meal plans, Need and PointlessSmile.
My Sainsburys order is coming this evening, so all being well, here's my meal plan.

Today: tofu and veg stirfry.

Thursday: same as Wednesday.
Friday: veggie burgers and wedges and salad.
Saturday: pizza.
Sunday: Quorn roast, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, carrots, broccoli, Yorkshire puddings and gravy.
Monday: omelette, sweet potato 'chips' and salad.
Tuesday: Mediterranean vegetable pasta bake.
Wednesday: same.

Today should be an NSD.

I never woke until 9.30 dd conveniently forgot to tell au pair she was going to school & I hadn't been talking to her either. I think she wants to be home because I am Smile

I didn't feel up to driving her so she's home for the day.

Meal plans look fabulous

From a very fussy eater as a child to someone who at 18 going to college rapidly transformed I hope I give you hope girlie. I still don't eat potatoes, lamb or drink milk. Also avoid mushrooms as the give me thrush. Don't like peas but I suffer them

Colliefeatures · 08/03/2016 11:22

Those meal plans look so good! I'll be stealing some of those. The Mary Berry book looks perfect. It's on my April wish list. Thanks for the recommendation.

Im looking for a sturdy clothes airer. I will not be using the tumble drier in Spring and Summer. Grin it's my goal. Our last clothes airer used to fall down in the slightest bit of breeze so I kicked it and took it to the tip. Blush

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 08/03/2016 11:48

I think the metal clothes airers are sturdier than the wooden ones Collie if that helps? My metal one came from Morrisons and is going strong 7 years on Grin

Thanks Lila tbf I don't think dd is as bad as I was as a child Blush she does like lots of healthy foods, loves fruit, salad and veg but won't eat any thing with a sauce on (other than pesto) won't eat casseroles, stews or curries, won't eat mushrooms or peppers and will only eat certain meats and fish - can be a PITA but generally its not too much of a problem!

I am still sorting here....

Colliefeatures · 08/03/2016 12:02

Oooh I'll look for one!

I've just applied for the marriage tax allowance debate thingy. www.moneysavingexpert.com/family/marriage-tax-allowance it was pretty easy. Not sure I agree with the principle of the whole thing but it will help us quite a bit. Blush

Colliefeatures · 08/03/2016 12:03

Rebate not debate! Blush

fuzzpig · 08/03/2016 12:16

Just nipping out the door (I will read your PM later girl I'm not ignoring you Blush) but wanted to update that 1. My manager has found out about the AL entitlement and they may let me take leave early just to go back on full pay for a bit, rather than losing it, and 2. DH has an interview this week - crappy job TBH but better than nowt so would be insane to turn it down in our current circumstances.

Have a great day all Thanks

supermariossister · 08/03/2016 12:56

The doctors have rung and said they need to see me following my 24 hour ecg results :( bit worried now. It's not until 21st so it will bug me until then!

CremeEggThief · 08/03/2016 13:06

Try not to worry, Super. If it were anything very serious, I'm sure they would want to see you sooner than that.Chocolate

Ooh, good luck to your DH, Fuzz.

Ememem84 · 08/03/2016 13:29

need no. I didn't. I've left them in the bathroom drawer. I will do it though. But can't quite bring myself to do it yet.

I'm feeling ok. Aside from having a bucket of snot leave my nose today gross

Dh said that the dizziness was the start of his cold. And loads of people at work have started the cold bug with the same. So while I wouldn't be upset if when I do poas its positive. I also wouldn't be sad if it isn't. If you see what I mean.

So far today nsd. Please no one panic me into buying anything else like you all did yesterday

Ememem84 · 08/03/2016 13:29

I also promise that when I do poas I will let you guys know the outcome second. Obviously dh will be first.

supermariossister · 08/03/2016 13:35

I hope so creme it doesn't help the anxiety waiting so long wondering.

2 quid eBay on a puzzle for ss birthday and got sent £12 from survey company.

Taytocrisps · 08/03/2016 14:32

I was hanging out clothes earlier (always a triumph of optimism over experience) and I heard a lovely trill of birdsong. I followed the sound and discovered it was coming from a robin sitting on a little tree. It was a nice reminder that sometimes the best things in life are free.

WreckTangled · 08/03/2016 14:37

Just had my card declined on a £5 transaction. Had a look and £2000 overdrawn Shock I phoned the bank and the car sales garage had taken two payments. They reversed one but advised me to call the garage anyway just in case. When I did I said 'the payment has been taken twice' the man just said 'well why would I do that?' And was pretty rude so now I'm pissed off. Plus I've spent the only time I have for lunch on the phone so won't get any now Angry
