NSD. I wonder how much longer the problems with the site are going to go on for. Mine was down again for a few minutes an hour ago, when I tried to log on. Frustrating!

HairsprayQueen · 22/09/2015 19:22

NSD. I've declared Tuesday and Thursday jacket potato night so just had that, I love jacket potatoes.

Thanks love I'll pop to lidl tomorrow and fingers crossed they still have the issue with the voucher.

lilacclery · 22/09/2015 20:10

Will catch up with everyone else soon but pink a work colleague had grant money in his account within a week

babsmam · 22/09/2015 20:21

Fuck me Spendy couple of days. Weekend was a right off £100 in sainsbury and hospital cafe.
Monday £50 to a spa. Got one for my birthday and had to pay for dh. Tbf they did me a good deal and it included lunch.
Today £245 in sainsbury but 4 items for me going back and maybe some of the dc when I sort their wardrobe.

Ds is better thanks. The diagnosis is irritated hip. He has a cold/virus thingy a couple of weeks ago and it has kinda stuck in his hip. Quite common apparently. No sports for 2 weeks back for a checkup in 5.

Yy re eating. I'm eating all the wrong stuff and haven't done fitness for nearly two months. I feel like shite and can't get my head into gear. Something always seems to come up. Trying from today to cut the crap.

TheOnlyPink · 22/09/2015 20:26

lilac that's great to hear, thank you! Who'd have thought the social welfare were that quick! Wink

babs hope your ds feels better soon, I've heard of that happening with the hip too.

Just as well we've no money, dh is out tonight (in his friends house playing board games, no spend!) and I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself. My usual method is online shopping or eating. Both of which are not good for me!

ipsos · 22/09/2015 20:32

So glad it's fixable babs. Great news.

I've had a minor success this week. I've been trying to change over from using household bleach and descaler to gentler things to go easy on the family immune systems. Well I have got it really working now. On the bathroom basin I use a hoselock garden spray bottle to spray a fine mist of vinegar all over the basin, leave for 2 hours and then clean with a scouring sponge and baby shampoo. The basin shines like a jewel for several days after and makes me feel quite jolly.

babsmam · 22/09/2015 20:32

Good news on the frugal wins guys.
Those of us falling off the bandwagon please try not to hurt yourself I've had my fill of hospital thus week. we can dust each other off and start again.

ipsos · 22/09/2015 20:53

I like your thinking babs. Tomorrow I plan a day off, after accidentally spending the whole day doing housework today.

Collieputthekettleon · 22/09/2015 20:53

I have had to revert back to weekly shops so food doesn't go off or go to waste when we go away. I went to Tesco & it came to £62!
Had to Google for some additional voucher codes & I had 8 vouchers for bonus points on my clubcard. Even though my clubcard account said I had 0 vouchers and Coupons. Really weird!

Used up the Sainsbury's gift card getting socks and pants for us all. Love the TU sale. It's my favourite.

Mostly NSDs until the end of September now! This is going to be hard Blush

ipsos · 22/09/2015 21:13

Babs I just remembered that my GP said ds had a cold in his feet last year. He was limping for several days after a bad cold and the GP said it was quite common. I wasn't totally sure that he hadn't just jumped off the top of the slide and landed the wrong way though.

CremeEggThief · 22/09/2015 21:55

Babs, that's good news about your DS.Smile

AuditAngel · 22/09/2015 22:13

Evening all.

Yesterday I paid £51 for 2 costumes for forthcoming dancing show. That is one costume for DD1, plus one lot of material for DD2. I don't pay for DD2's to be made, as I now help out collecting money for the costumes and that is my reward.

Today £5 for parking neat theatre to drop DS off then wait to rake DS and DD1 home. £5.40 for sandwich to share with DD2, a drink each and a pack of crisps the children shared. £39 in the Entertainer. DD2 really wanted a baby alive doll, online none available, but got one for £25 , plus a present for a party at the weekend. £6 for a new umbrella for DD2, £2 on a set of bungy straps for DH plus £8 on a lamp DD2 wanted, but I'll keep until her birthday. Then about £10 in Lakeland on a Julienne peeler and a potato bag.

LittleMissLady · 22/09/2015 22:48

Hello.

I've been reading threads and thought I might join you, if that's ok.

Took DS out for his birthday today (1st birthday!) so £6 travel, £29 on some toys (gifts), £2 on lunch as used club card vouchers.
£17 on Xmas pressie for nephew.

Then blew a whole £8(!!!) on fancy chocolate from Libertys for dd.

northender · 22/09/2015 23:40

Quick check in with good car news, the repair bill was...............£16.80 Grin. Will catch up properly tomorrow

SpottyTeacakes · 23/09/2015 06:50

Babs I've heard of that before glad he will be ok.

It's really chilly this morning but meant to be nice later not sure if dd should wear tights or socks.

Should be a nsd as I'm not going anywhere other than taking ds to and from pre school.

babsmam · 23/09/2015 06:58

Hello littlemiss and welcome.

My dd is in knee socks still.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/09/2015 07:13

Dd has gone for knee socks

NK5BM3 · 23/09/2015 07:17

Hello! Thanks lilac for Dd's birthday greetings! Had a nice meal at her fav restaurant £40. Went to sainsburys to get a cake and butter and candles £14.

babs glad it will sort itself out. My ds was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis after chicken pox (so like a lost viral infection - it's autoimmune) so that was a bit extreme but his joints hurt and he had a fever every day and a rash too. Nightmare. Was on heavy duty drugs for 1.5 years. He's in remission now but always worried.

Should be nsd today. Welcome to all newbies.

HairsprayQueen · 23/09/2015 07:23

Welcome littlemiss!

Nice one northender, what a relief for you!

babsmam · 23/09/2015 07:38

Sorry to hear that nk. Thankful he is in remission. X

Ememem84 · 23/09/2015 07:42

Nsd today. Have been awake most of the night with a bit of a tummy bug. So not going to work.

Sigh. This hasn't happened to me before so I'm Currently feeling sad, bit sicky, and hurty (haven't drunk anything since about 2am as was dozing).

Had chest X-ray yesterday and apparently there's a bit of a bug going round our hospital hooray!

Initially thought it could be over tiredness, over excitement from weekend, stress (re X-ray) and something I've eaten. Not so sure now.

Binglet · 23/09/2015 07:44

Checking in on new thread! Hi to all newbies!

We are down in Perranporth for our week holiday this year. It's lovely. We saved up £300 for the week and I've managed to persuade DP to jump on fugal wagon. We withdrew the whole £300 and he sat and separated it all out into "days" and he is in charge of making sure we only spend our allotted days spends. Very proud of him. He declared last night that this is the way we should do food shopping, so we are going to try it this month.

Been very holiday frugal, allowed myself a £10 top when we went into Newquay for the day. Had a cheap day yesterday a weather was very a bit rubbish and have cooked in the caravan three nights so far. I've demanded fish and chips by the beach though one evening weather dependant. We are off to a Cider farm today hopefully, can't wait to get out for free booze

Sending Flowers to everyone's who's poorly ATM, DPs and DC included.

Binglet · 23/09/2015 07:47

em I had exactly the same thing last week on Sunday. It started with me feeling just rough, tired and achey, we thought it was a hangover Blush from the Friday when I had a couple of bottles glasses of wine with friends. But lo and behold, the terrible D&V reared its head early hours on Monday. Only for around 6 hours then I was right as rain. But 48hr rule at our hospital means no work! So I had two days of resting and cleaned the house. Hope you feel better soon.

needastrongone · 23/09/2015 08:04

Hope you feel better soon em.

Good news about DS babs and was sorry to read about your own DS nk, glad there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Hooray re the car north, you were so worried.

Welcome littlemiss.

Working today, I feel like I always bloody work at the minute...

Should be a NSD, other than money in a card for DN, which I did last night.

Tomorrow I am working on our other business, the books really need updating and the VAT report running, then I plan on ignoring the pig sty of my house and going through all our paperwork and finances, so I will be posting lots then!
